Quite literally a whole forest of black mold behind the big hole in the wall that was there when I moved in. I just disregarded at the time and covered the hole because I would never guess that I would be lied to about the presence of thick toxic mold. Over the last four years my health has gone from bad to worse. Finally I gave my landlord a few places to call for mold inspection. He chose Green Home Solutions in Sterling VA. The owner of the company who said his name was Roy came out to do the inspection. Now per their protocol that is online about how they do an inspection, only 2 out of 5 methods were used. Their website says they do visual inspection with flashlights, air quality test, take samples, use a moisture meter to find where the leaks or the problem causing the mold is coming from and finally the infrared inspection to identify mold growth behind walls. He only did steps 1 and 2. I knew nothing about this until after "remediation" when I realized no cleaning of the vents/ducts had happened, there was still very visible mold on the wall behind my toilet, (which is still there), the people that came for the job did not even have respirators on or hazmat suits on the day of remediation. A huge puddle of whatever was left in the middle of my living room floor, sofa, loveseat, and chair all drenched and they had left 4 hours earlier. I didn't know this walking in and stepped in it. Immediately my feet started burning. The craziest part is that nothing was even damp in my bedroom, bathroom or kitchen. It took almost 3 weeks from the start to be sent a very generic email from the company that my landlord sent to me that is not even how their emails should be addressed to a client. My landlords refuse to let me see any reports even though it is part of Virginia law that they are obligated to do so. Idk what's going on here but I did an at home air quality test and it was only sitting out for 45 minutes. Within 24 hours it was sprouting mold. This is my life and my health and I refuse to let this happen! Do not use these people they are con artists! They have a one year limited warranty not a two year as specified in the "email" from the company I was sent. Se attached photos

They come out once a quarter and spray outside our home to deter ants, which we have seen inside only on several occasions. When we have seen ant infestation (twice inside our mailbox and once inside our home in an air duct) we have called and a technician was dispatched and thoroughly resolved the issue. On Saturday, 3/18/17, my husband noticed a few very small ants in our kitchen. He made a call and a technician (Brett Seace) came on Monday. He was very thorough and polite and closed both gates after he was finished, a big issue for us as we have a dog and many service people leave one or both gates open. He informed us of what he did and what he found (no active infestation found) and told us what to expect and what to do if we do see further evidence of ants. Our realtor recommended Century 12 years ago and we are still using them and very satisfied and will continue to recommend them.

Please, please always get other quotes, a mice is a stressful situation but do not this company scare you , do not hire them. If I could leave a zero star review I would. They also pushed to keep mitigation equipment in place longer when needed to make sure everything was truly dry before rebuilding, which I appreciated because they did not cut corners. They handled everything from remediation and plumbing repair to demolition and full restoration, and the basement looks better than before. After that experience, I hired them again for unrelated work and found their rates to be extremely competitive. Based on the quality, efficiency, and responsiveness they consistently showed, I plan to use them as my go-to contractor going forward.

We had the provide insulation in the attic of our house and were told afterwards that they would follow up with us to make sure the other rooms in the house were taken care of. Once they completed the larger more expensive project in the attic they stopped answering my calls, texts, and emails. They had someone come over to the house to check the other rooms had them pull up our floor boards to take a look then never followed up to actually provide the service. I have called both my point of contact and the office multiple times with no response. As a result I am having to go with another company to have the rest of our work done which is extremely unfortunate. I really dont post reviews that often but I just wanted to relay my experience as I use yelp for a lot of my home service projects and rely on honest feedback not just artificially generated positive reviews.
