It was pulling off my gutters and fascia board with it too. One more heavy wind situation, it was all coming down. Immediate help required. Some of the bigger roofing companies were too busy to get to me right away. I called Custom Home Exteriors. They didn't have a lot of reviews but the reviews they did have were rock solid so I thought I'd give them a shot. Glad I did. Wilfredo was able to come out the same day to inspect the job. We talked about what was needed for repair. He gave me a fair quote and was able to come back 2 days later. He was very personable and knowledgeable. I hired him. Wilfredo and his assistant did excellent work. Exceeded my expectations. My column, gutter and fascia board were repaired, looking good as new. I also had them put a covers on top of the open areas of the columns that should have been done when they were installed decades ago. Wilfredo didn't skimp on that job either. Went above and beyond. They neatly cleaned up when they were done. Wilfredo brought to my attention some of my other gutters were coming detached from the roof line and should be addressed at some point. I thanked him for his attention to detail. Preventative maintenance is cheaper than having to address problems after they occur. Wilfredo has earned my confidence. And without hesitation will be my first phone call for future such work.

Their quote was on the high side, but we appreciated the professionalism and how candid their inspector, Dan was. We agreed to have them come clean, tighten, seal, realign, and extend our gutters. They came one day while we were at work, and as far as we could tell didn't actually do any of the work beyond cleaning the gutters. The gutters still leaked, were bent, and they did not install the gutter extensions we agreed upon. We called the company back to come out and finish the job. They did come out and add one more gutter extension, but still failed to realign our gutters, replace the miter joints on the corners, and seal the gutters. What a waste of money. We are very disappointed and in the future will go another roofing company - these folks will take your money and not satisfactorily complete the work.

Dan came out, got up on the roof in multiple spots to check everything over - and even found one other problem spot. He was on time for the scheduled estimate, polite, very knowledgeable, and gave me quotes on two other optional things I was also considering. Sent over the detailed quote by email PDF the next day and answered all follow-up questions I had. They scheduled us in pretty quickly for the work, and despite that massive windstorm - kept to their appointment in the aftermath and didn't bump us for other repairs. Paid $3650 to C A C for 140 sq ft concrete slab. Work initially seemed ok but we were left with a…read morebit of mess which turned into a spot of bother. CAC workers were on time and showed up reliably, which was helpful. The front and back of slab were plumb, no issues - but the left and right sides were not square as measured using the 3-4-5 square method, creating a problem for tile work. The discrepancy was enough to delay tile install by another contractor. It had to be made right or the tile surface would have been uneven and unattractive. When asked to inspect his work product and make it right, the owner Carlos responded that his measurements were perfect and he had made no mistakes. What could have been resolved with action and accuracy instead led us to hire someone we trust (a different yelp-verified business) who squared the slab and lumpy surround expertly. Their work wasn't bad but the part that wasn't good was mishandled with a closed attitude, unpleasant communication and delays. Finally we recovered $300 of the $450 we incurred to fix the surface and get on with tiling. But not without stress or dramatics. C A C Masonry owner used pressure tactics to get me to remove my factual review, and when I sent his text to Yelp Business, they encouraged me to repost. Their message in photos. If you hire them, do it by the book. contract, communication and course-correct as needed on the spot. Pay attention!
