We have hired Huntington Electric several times to work on various electrical projects. The attention to detail is what sets them apart (E.g. screwing the cover plate so the screws slots are aligned). We have a running project list with them that we plan to knock out over the next couple years. As far as pricing, I believe it's fair. Not the cheapest and not the most expensive. They were extremely polite, on time and cleaned up after themselves. I will always use Huntington from now on. read more

Two handymen and a "Master Electrician" later, I contacted Huntington Electric to see if they knew how to fix my deck lights. The first handyman I tried was only here to replace the casing on one of the lights that was dented but did something that caused all the lights to the right of it to be bright and all the lights to left of it to dim. See attached photos. I tried again with another handyman and a "Master Electrician" - no luck. Decided to contact Huntington to see if they could fix this irritating problem and rapidly becoming expensive fix. And guess what? He fixed the problem. He diagnosed the problem right away and now I have evenly lit bright lights! See attached photos. It was more than I was wanting to spend (since I already forked out so much the other three times) but the two men got right to work, completed the job in the time they said it would, and cleaned up after themselves; something that none of the three people did that I had previously hired. read more

I contacted Amanda w/ Huntington Elec. at 8:00 am for a 40 Amp breaker replacement for my A/C unit on a hot August morning. Amanda was able to reroute one of the technicians in the field and Harry was at my house and had completed the replacement of the circuit breaker by 9:45! My A/C unit is back online and cooling. Blair and his crew did a lot of electrical work on a new house we had just bought prior to move-in. We gathered a series of quotes and after comparing them, as well as schedules, we decided to go with Huntington. It also helped that they had come recommended by a friend. I will point out that Blair's estimate was by far the most thorough; he also asked the most questions when on-site for the estimate. The quality of their work was top-notch, and they thoroughly explained whenever they had to open up a portion of a wall or ceiling. When dealing with contractors, you have to understand that there may be unexpected delays and such. Huntington did a great job keeping these to a minimum, while keeping us updated as to their progress. We had recessed lighting put in several rooms, additional circuits, and even had our main house electrical panel entirely replaced, so I would say it was a fairly large job, which they handled quite easily. I would not hesitate to recommend them for this type of work. Their pricing is very competitive (remember you are dealing with electricians, NOT handymen, so do not compare prices between the two) and they are consummate professionals. read more

If I could give them zero stars, I would. They are very difficult to reach and get estimates from. Apparently only the owner can give an estimate. Good luck reaching him. Once they finally did the work, it was not what we wanted or discussed. The light Is not working properly but I don't trust them to fix it. Will never use again. read more

We arranged for electricians from Huntington Electric to come to our house on May 13, to install a circuit and outlet for a microwave oven, and to repair two other outlets. The two technicians, Brian and Travis, arrived promptly on time, where extremely polite and professional and did a fantastic job. They finished quickly and even rehung to case for the circuit breaker box that had been taken down by a previous electrician. I can't recommend them highly enough. They were just great. I wanted to replace a bathroom vanity light and remembered this place I used 15 or so years ago and luckily they are still around so made the appointment. A couple of guys came and took out the old ugly fixture and replaced it with a nice one I'd gotten online. Everything was smooth sailing and worth the $95 fee. read more

I called first thing in the morning to have them install 2 ceiling fans. His prices were more reasonable than the other place I called in Sterling so I booked him. He said someone could be out tomorrow, then called later and said he can come out today if I wanted. That was perfect for me! Turns out I'm slow, ended up with the wrong down rod and didn't know the one hole in my ceiling wasn't equipped with the proper box. So we had a bunch of set backs (because of me! whoops) and they not only made it all work, but sent another guy out to help get it all done. It took a while so I definitely had a hefty bill at the end of it all, but again, I wasn't prepared too well since I know nothing about fans, so can't blame the company on that one. The two guys were great! I would definitely recommend this company to anyone else in the area, and will use them again if I ever need an electrician. read more

I was surprised when a separate decades old electrical company based in Washington D.C. botched their estimate. Thankfully our realtor recommended Huntington who delivered professional estimate and final work. Very impressed with the high standard of work from Huntington Electric. They are my "go to" for all my electric needs. They are excellent.

When a faulty electrical box exploded outside my Reston rental home leaving my tenants without heat in January, Huntington Electric went the next day (a Saturday) and fixed it. They then returned twice to accommodate the contractors repairing the burnt siding around the box. They were flexible and responsive; so easy to work with even as I dealt with this disaster from my home hundreds of miles away! Very quick service and they did a good job. But one ceiling fan cost more than $250 to install. They also charge for the helper, so the total hourly cost is almost $200. They also billed me for the time it took to give me an estimate for some additional work. Wow. Normally estimates are free. read more

Very happy to have discovered this company! They were very responsive both at the office and onsite. The appointment was timely to our first call; the technician arrived on time & was methodical in his trouble-shooting a circuit in the master bedroom & bath that wouldn't reset at the breaker. He traced the problem to a forgotten outlet behind the armoire. Over time the stretched neutral wire connection failed - he replaced the outlet & another he'd viewed that was aging out. My husband is a decades long DIYer - he was impressed with the technician's professionalism, approach to the process & quickness in resolution. I was impressed with the professionalism & responsiveness of the office - easy to get them on the phone, appointment scheduled promptly & friendly attitude. Huntington Electrical did a lot of small jobs for us in the same day and were fast, efficient and reasonably priced. They cleaned up after themselves, so the only thing different after they finished was the wonderful repair. I will definitely call them again when I want to upgrade my home or need a repair. read more
