Later, I hired another contractor, who fixed the clogged sewer pipe for less than half the price charged by this company and confirmed that there was no problem with the water heater. I will never hire this company again, but in the case of a sewer pipe clog, reputable contractors will typically provide free service if the pipe clogs again within a month, so it's best to hire a company like that.

It was a big job that took most of the day, and it was a very windy day. When they left, the place looked spic and span. They used canvas drop cloths to eliminate dust and dirt on the floor.
