I just had to take some pictures of my home and garage and they sent over a detailed description of the work and the price. I decided that before I went with them I would get a few more quotes. I contacted 2 other companies and an electrician. The quotes ranged from "sorry I can't do this" to $14,000! My situation is complex, with the main breaker being on the 3rd floor of the house and the garage is detached, but havePOWER had a simple solution as opposed to the others. I hired HavePower to install the Wall Connector for my Tesla and am very happy with their work starting from scheduling. Firstly it is really hard to find electricians who can come over to install your connector and most of the guys who do say they're available and can come within the week overcharge almost DOUBLE of standard cost and usually do not pull the proper permits! With HavePower, I co-ordinated with Mark to setup a date for the install -- well ahead into the future, a couple of months -- and through out he has always been on point and helpful. I sent pictures of my breaker panel, walls and ceilings so they'd get a good sense of how much work was involved and they got their master electrician to weigh in and suggest I needed a new breaker (slimline) and that I wouldn't be able to pull 60A but 40A instead (which I was OK with since my car doesn't need that much). Incidentally I consulted with other providers (through thumbtack) and their assessment was I needed a complete new breaker panel! Installation day finally comes around and these guys show up on the dot -- 8:15a! After 4 grueling hours of drilling and hammering and wireclippings I came out of my office to find everything was neatly installed. They had figured out the optimal way to snake the wire through my house to my charger and the finish on their job was excellent. It wasn't just a wire, it was sheathed in what I assume is a metallic tube that basically runs all the way to the charger. I'm sure if I used the thumbtack guys they'd have just snaked the wire without any sheathing. On top of a well done job the guys who came over were super knowledgeable and helpful and friendly! Andrew, the master electrician, is a stand up guy who also had an amazing helper he brought along. Just had my Tesla charger installed by the team at HavePower. Ariel did a phenomenal job that was professional, clean, and just amazing. Installation was requested last week and completed today. Ariel took special care of our home and performed nothing short of magical. Why magical? Well our basement is finished and they had to run the wires from basement right side to garage left side and I was told it would require about 4 - 5 ceiling cutouts, which I was fine with and expected. We researched and received estimates from a handful of vendors (from Tesla site, Google, and FB Group - MD Tesla Owners Club ) for an electrician to install a Tesla wall connector in our garage. In the end, we chose havePower for their reasonable quote and professional communication. We anticipated havePower being on the higher end of the estimates, as it was on the top of Tesla's "Find an electrician" site and the company is dedicated to installing EV chargers . Surprisingly, their prices were reasonable with others. The intake form for the estimate was thorough in asking for pictures of what we needed/location. Mark was communicative as the estimator. Cathal, an experienced electrician did our installation and was on time, professional, and knowledgeable with our questions. He was able to complete the installation very neatly without us having to patch up any drywall. We could tell he was experienced and appreciate how organized and neat the installation was. It took about 2 hours and he was great to talk to. Post-installation: within the next 2 hours after Cathal left, we received the invoice/receipt of payment via email. Peter emailed us our County permit and scheduled our inspection based on our availability. He was able to schedule our inspection the very next day. Next day, the County inspector came and took no more than 10 minutes for the inspection and filling out paperwork. The inspector explained he never had any issues with havePower projects, but have failed other electricians. These guys are awesome. They hardwire installed a JuiceBox 40 EVSE electric vehicle charger for me. I followed the instructions on their website and emailed them the requested info for a quote and they were super quick to respond with a detailed quote. I also had them install a generator inlet so I can use my electric vehicle to partially power my house for several days during a power outage. The Hyundai/Kia/Genesis vehicle-to-load technology is relatively new but they were very creative and knowledgeable in how make it work for this situation. They were also good at finding the least invasive way to route the wiring to avoid or at least minimize drywall damage. Overall, great communication, very timely, and very professional. I was very impressed with their 5 star reviews prior to booking with Havepower. I first found them on the tesla website as one of their certified installation technicians and my friend who used Havepower verified their work with me. After getting 2 other quotes, they were the lowest. I was able to get a quote easily with Mark by answering questions about the layout of my house and sending them pictures of my basement, garage, and electric panel. Mark was also very responsive with the emails, however, there was a 2 week wait for the next available appointment. I guess they are in high demand! So for a couple of days, I had to figure out ways to charge my ev car before the appointment. The two guys that came in to install were very friendly and try to accommodate our requests as much as possible. They came on time and seemed very experienced! Overall, they did a good job and I'm happy with their work. It took them around 2 hours of labor and they didn't leave any messes except the large holes in the wall (which was expected cuz they don't fix). There are very few contractors that show up with military precision. I walked out to the garage at 6:58 for a 7am appointment and they were backing up the truck. Impressed. We talked about conduit vs behind drywall install and concluded conduit would be in the corner, not too pronounced, have less drywall impact, and less risk of hitting another electrical line. Chose to go conduit route. They did an amazing job doing a complex conduit bend to use one piece of conduit to come out of charger, snug the wall, do two 45 deg turns, up and another 90 Deb to go along the ceiling. 7 bends to make it look good. I was impressed. They swept up, checked performance, and were done in about 5 hours. They were great to talk with and taught me a few things. First class experience. I've seen electricians that are butchers. These guys were artisans. Very well done. Thanks. I'll definitely use again if I need another charger or any other electrical work. Overall a great experience! I hired Havepower to upgrade my residential electrical panel to 200A service, and install an exterior 220V power outlet near the back yard parking space as a charger for an electric vehicle. The entire estimate process was done virtually through a email survey and attaching photos, which was super easy and convenient since meeting a contractor during the work day is normally difficult for me. One hiccup came from not reviewing the plan to route the exterior conduit along the neighbors fence... Which I had to correct. The alternative (actually originally requested) plan was to dig a trench and bury the conduit, adding $400 to the cost. The crew that did the electrical work was efficient and professional. But because the job could not be completed in a single day, the scheduler was very proactive about scheduling the follow up appointment. Havepower took care of the whole permitting process and scheduling the inspector at the end. The final Pepco hook up is still TBD but all the other work is complete, and the charger is working great. Drywall repair and painting is also my responsibility, and they made that clear in the estimate. read more

I had Havepower intsall an electric charger in the garage. They did a great job from the initial point of contact all the way to installation. The quote is done via email. I send in pictures and they sent me a quote. Scheduling was easy and the electrician found the best way to run the wire from the box to the garage. Please keep in mind, that they make holes in the drywall and only screw them back. You will have to fix the drywall/paint yourselves. read more
