We contacted Nathan Miller at VNE Electric, LLC for some outdoor and indoor work, including hot tub reconnect, light fixtures and switches. His work was outstanding. He was careful and thorough as he conducted both his review for estimation of the cost of the work and then the performance of the tasks to accomplish what we desired. He was easy to schedule, easy to work with and was an excellent problem solver when any issues cropped up. He also agreed to additional work at a reasonable cost. We will contact him whenever we need electrical work done. read more

Great electrician who I would recommend to anyone. From the beginning, Nathan was super responsive and helpful. When it came time for the estimate he was very patient and answered my many questions and explained concepts clearly. He even caught some things we didn't request but had in mind. He had a quick turnaround for us and the work looks great. read more

I reached out to VNE for options regarding a NEMA 14-50 outlet vs. Tesla Wall Charger install. Nathan was very responsive to my questions and timely in his responses. Ultimately I went with the wall charger option, and couldn't be happier. One thing that set him apart from other electricians was that he included permit and inspection of the work, while others made it sound like permits and inspection were an extra hassle resulting in an cost. Nathan was very professional, left the area clean, if not cleaner than when he started, and I'm satisfied with the work he did. Highly recommend VNE and Nathan for your electrical work, especially if you need a home EV charging solution. read more

We needed a new 240v outlet in the basement for a wall mounted oven, and we contacted many electricians for a quote. Nathan did a thorough diagnosis and uncovered issues that others didn't foresee with overpriced quotes. Long story short, Nathan has been prompted (always arrived on time, actually 10min earlier), knowledgeable (licensed master electrician), professional (took care of entire permitting/inspection process without any issue), and was nice (my 9 year old boy loved him!). Nathan is now my "go to" electrician and we feel blessed that we found him!!! read more

Very responsive, professional, honest and capable. Would gladly use again for installing a EV charger.

I hired Nathan to install a Tesla wall charger. He was extremely quick and thorough on responding to texts/emails. The estimate was lower than others and he delivered right at the estimate. All his work was great and he cleaned up when he was done. Very nice and professional person. I'll definitely hire him for future electrical work. read more

They say you can have either have quality, quick, or a great value. VNE provides all three. I would recommend them to a friend, and I would use them again for my electrical needs. Additional info, Nathan is extremely knowledgeable about EV Charging. Thanks Nathan and Andrew! read more

I had sent out a bid on yelp for a project and got a few bids but Nathan at VNE Electric was the only one that asked for pictures. I wanted a Sense system installed to monitor my electrical use. He installed it relatively easy and pretty quick. His estimate up front was not the lowest but I was very satisfied with his work. I used him a second time changing out outlets for GFCI outlets in my old Condo. He also checked to make sure the outlets were not hot neutral reversed. I only had three listed but he checked every outlet. When he was finished he left the place cleaner than when he found it! The best part this second time he ended up charging me a little less than the estimate. I will be using him for any other electrical projects coming up! Also followed CDC guidelines for covid-19 read more

I had a Tesla wall charger installed in my garage. Before finding Vne, I reached out to at least six other electricians that were listed on Tesla's "recommended electrician" search tool, which averaged about $2600. Vne gave me a significantly lower quote and I went with them based off the reviews here on Yelp. Everything went smoothly, Nathan was extremely friendly, professional, and was always responsive in the entire process. He's also trustworthy, which is a trait I look for when anyone is working in my home. No one wants to be up a contractors ass 24/7. For those looking for an electrician to install a wall charger - I highly recommend you do your homework first or save time and money and go with this company. read more

Thoughtful as to the requirements of the house. Asked for input. Knowledgeable and kind to my home and cat.

Nathan is everything you want in an electrician. He is honest, prompt, communicative, detail-oriented, and very efficient. He came in the fastest to provide us an honest and reasonable quote for an electrical panel upgrade. We upgraded our ooooold original 150 AMP panel to a 200 AMPs panel and he was very honest about pricing, scope of work, and making sure everything was up to code and inspection ready! It was an all day project and he had insane work ethic, which is hard to come by these days. Not to mention he was very kind to us and our pets. I don't even know if he even had lunch! We highly recommend him for all your electrical needs! It's hard to find people like Nathan these days! Thank you for all you did! read more

Nate is a one-man operation and the work he does is impeccable. If I could give him more stars I would. He was so meticulous and so professional that I will refer him to all of my neighbors who need electric work done. He went above and beyond my expectation and we are extremely satisfied with all of the services he provided to us. He is now our go to person for everything electrical. One of the best aspects of this experience was Nate is familiar with all of the electrical code and he worked directly with the inspector to sure everything was 100% inspection ready and passed the first time with no issues. read more

When we bought our house, we immediately noticed that the electrical work was not up to par. Outlets were loose and recessed, and shortly after we moved in, some outlets ceased to provide power. Over time, a hot contact point developed on one of the light switches. We had previously called another electrician who guessed that there was a nicked wire and that it would be necessary to cut into our walls and go on a fishing expedition. Nathan was able to quickly determine which outlets were connected and how, and more importantly, that our issues were due to loose connection points throughout the house and not damaged wires. Nathan replaced outlets and switches and installed a new GFI in the kitchen. I highly recommend him for any electrical work. read more

I asked for an electrician via Yelp and outlined that I needed to have a NEMA 14-50 outlet installed for my electric vehicle in the garage. Nathan was among the first to respond and it was clear he had expertise with this. We had a quick FaceTime call so I could show him the setup in the garage, the breaker panels, etc. He secured a license with the city and setup the new outlet in a couple hours. The inspector gave it a thumbs up, I hooked up the EV to the charger and everything is working perfectly. In addition he fixed a recently installed ceiling fan in order to make the switches work properly. Professional, highly knowledgeable, friendly and great rates. Definitely the person to call for all your electric needs! read more

Nathan was extremely professional and very responsive. He liked to walk through what he was doing, which I really appreciated even though I understood only half. I highly recommend. read more

Nathan from VNE Electric installed a tesla wall charger for me. Not only was he always on time, cleans up perfectly at the end of each day, answered all of my and I mean all even the dumb questions, walked me through his steps and concerns ahead of time and his pricing was very reasonable for this level of attention to detail, too. I've worked with a lot of electricians over the decades, and I have to admit I've never come across a more professional, knowledgeable (seems to know the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local county codes by heart), and personable electrician with a sharp attention to detail. He was always focused on both my location and the project's safety as well as aesthetics. Would HIGHLY recommend him bar none. He should charge even more for his work so book him before his rates go up (my opinion of course). read more

We purchased a new washer/dryer combo only to discover that the old dryer AC receptacle was incompatible with the new dryer plug. Sent out multiple requests for bids and VNE was one the timeliest and priced very competitively. Nathan showed up at our home hours later to fix our problem. Courteous, friendly and very professional...a pleasure dealing with him. The work was completed quickly and we had our dryer operational shortly thereafter. Great service and a very pleasant experience. Highly recommended by these happy campers. read more

We had some old wiring issues, asked for a quote and Nathan from VNE was quick to respond. We thought his estimate was fairly priced so we went with his service. We were not disappointed. Will definitely reach out to VNE again for our future electric needs! read more

I searched on Yelp for an electrician to install my Tesla Wall Connector. Nathan at Vne Electric was not only the first to respond, but the most complete initial proposal and a very competitive price. After trading emails and speaking with Nathan, I could tell he had great EV charging experience. He even stocks Tesla Wall Connectors, shortening lead time on an often backlogged item. He obtained a permit before he arrived. He showed up on time, explained the process, installed the 60A circuit in my panel, pulled wiring behind the wallboard, and installed the Tesla Wall Connector. He even patched the wallboard. He was very professional and the workspace was very clean when he finished. He scheduled the inspection for me. I highly recommend Vne Electric for your EV charger. Works was done in Alexandria, VA. Not sure why Yelp insists I'm in Manassas. read more
