This is a follow up on my initial review of Electrical Connections in Gaithersburg Md. The team led by Dan B., was phenomenal. They completed the outdated, not up to code, electrical wiring in our home. They did it with care, dedication, responsiveness, knowledge and clearly years of experience. They worked tirelessly for hours to repair and install a new circuit box, that included installing a new electrical box outside, checking each room's electricity to label all the breakers, and and the work will recieve a final inspection in the next few days. I am so please that we hired this company and had this team of professionals do this job in our home. My husband and I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a good electrical company. read more

My experience was poor and disappointing. I was scheduled for an appointment today between 8 and 10 AM and no one came by. I was called by their office around 9:30 and was told that they had not heard from or knew where their assigned electrician was. They called again at 10 AM and stated that they still didn't know where their employee was. I am surprised and disappointed that Electrical Connections has no contact with their employees from the beginning of the day for hours during the day. I don't want to do business with a company that is poorly managed this way. Perhaps other customers get better service but this is what I experienced. read more

I welcomed into my home Abby and Jorge from Electrical Connections. They were a dream team for me. From the moment they came in they explained to me the work that would be done, and showed me the light fixtures they would install. They patiently answered all of my questions. I felt involved at every stage in the process. They showed me the work once it was done, and made sure not to leave until we had plugged back in everything inside the house and made sure it had all come back. It was a masterclass in customer care. What do I mean by this? I had asked that the breakers in my box be identified with which part of my home they turned on/off. We bought the house as a flip and my home inspector missed that almost nothing in my breaker box was properly identified to a part of my home. Abby did this-using a labeller. I can easily identify what is linked to which part of the house. No having to guess a person's handwriting. It is such a relief to open the panel and immediately know what connects to where. And she carefully walked me through-twice-the newly identified breaker labels. When Abby set up motion sensor lights for the room where I have my furnace to replace bulbs operated with pull chords, she asked me first which setting I wanted the sensors on before installing them. Plus she left me the instruction manuals. She did not need to do this. she went the extra step. Jorge did a beautiful job in my laundry room and where once I had a hanging by a wire, ready to fall light fixture that never gave out that much light to begin with, I now have a bright LED light under which even the smallest stain will stand out for me to apply some shout prior to it going into the washing machine. Every step of the way their individual professional know how was on display. They treated my home as if it were their home. And that is the feeling all of us as homeowners want to be left with. read more

Juan Carlos did a great job with the estimate and the install. Customer service was good, they needed to make a change and communicated immediately. No concerns as I waited until the inspection to do the review and it passed. Easy and flexible price transparency. I literally cross checked with another company and they were just like thanks, we cant beat that price though lol. Win win overall for me! read more

Electrical Connections - Electricians Near Me - Gaithersburg, Maryland

I had the pleasure of Josh servicing my home to install an outlet in my garage. He took the time to help me understand my electrical setup and answer all of my questions. At the end, he made sure that I was happy with his work (I was!). I plan to use Electrical Connections (and hopefully Josh) again. read more

Josh, the technician was knowledgeable and thorough. Everything worked well when he finished. All debris was cleaned up and was set to be disposed and/or recycled (not reused). We will use this company again, should the need for an electrician arise. read more

I had an exceptional experience with Electrical Connections, and I have to give special recognition to their technician, Jorge. From the moment he arrived, it was clear I was dealing with a true professional. He was punctual, courteous, and incredibly knowledgeable, taking the time to explain every step of the process in a way that was easy to understand. What really stood out was Jorge's attention to detail and his commitment to doing the job right. He didn't rush, he didn't cut corners--he treated my home with care and made sure everything was safe, clean, and functioning perfectly before he left. It's rare to find someone who combines technical expertise with such genuine customer service. Electrical Connections has definitely earned my trust, and Jorge is a big reason why. If you're looking for reliable, high‑quality electrical work backed by friendly, professional service, I can't recommend them enough. read more

My experience: the first appointment they cancelled due to a timing problem but rescheduled for a couple days later. The technician (JC) was informative, patient with my questions, personable, and got the jobs done quickly. He also brought my attention to the need for a GFCI in the kitchen which I really appreciated as this was a safety issue. Pricing: Mixed. Lower than the comparable quotes of their competition for rewiring the faulty wall switch to the garbage disposal. But I found $170 for a 7-minute job to install an light flat LED disk ceiling light very expensive. I did appreciate their promo price of $39 to drive out and evaluate the problem, which was absorbed when I decided to hire JC for the work. Overall good. read more

We had an electrician out about three months ago, and something wasn't right. We had a different issue, but as I said, something wasn't right, so we tried Electrical Connections. 1. They sent Peter A. He listened to what I thought was wrong. I checked the issue and then fixed it.2. He checked the problem the previous person said was huge and had to be replaced ASAP. He said, nope, nothing wrong. Awesome service, great communication. We have a new electrician. It is always great to find a company that offers competitive prices, good work, and friendly people. read more

Pricing was very fair/lower than I anticipated. Service was pretty seamless/good communication. Josh, the electrician was really smart, really helpful and really honest. Did a very nice, tidy, efficient job. I didn't have a particular electrician I regularly work with and have been on the lookout for one. I think I found them. Highly recommended. . read more

We were looking into upgrading our HVAC system and based on feedback from our preferred contractor we also had to look into upgrading our electric panel. In all honesty, I was a little skeptical but based on contractor estimates for the electrical work it then appeared to be necessary. Kisan from Electrical Connections arrived at our home and based on his thorough inspection and walking me through the needed scope I felt comfortable moving forward with them. On the day of the job we ran into an unforeseen issue that did augment some scope to the project but we were able to fit it in within budget-again it was something unforeseen but we got it done and the work could be accomplished. Having a new electrical panel and the base to upgrade to our new system were big accomplishments for us as a family. I'm very pleased with the work and Kisan's guiding of the work throughout. I am very happy with my experience and highly recommend Kisan and the Electrical Connections team that helped us (Paulo, Jeremiah) and will use them again in the future. read more

They came and did the job as expected. The price was fare as well. I would definitely call them back.

I've hired Electrical Connections -- specifically, Franklin -- for a variety of projects. And I'll continue to do so. First, Franklin has been responsive to my texts; he shows up on time; and he's patient in explaining things and offering options. Second, he does good work. Some projects have been difficult; some have been easy. Either way, I have confidence that Franklin will fix what needs to be done, and do so with pricing that's transparent and fair. read more

Kisan was by far the best person I've interacted with in a long time. He was compensate, professional and very friendly. He made my family's experience great and helped us in a bind. I'm definitely using him again. Jason read more

Electrical Connections came to give an estimate for a chandelier installation. They were very prompt and came out within 1 week. Their quote was 50% higher than 2 other quote. I did not choose them in the end because they tried to upsell me, not due to the price. This type of thing happens to me a lot when I'm getting house repair quotes without a man around. The electrician suggested that I upgrade my panel even though it's up to code and my house was built in the early 2000's. He also said I need to change all my smoke detectors even though I pointed out I had my house inspected less than 2 years ago when I bought it. I declined these extra services and said I felt safe in my house and have a ton of insurance. Then he said if my house burned down I'd be homeless for 2-3 years while it is being rebuilt. This whole conversation was very stressful for me so I did not want this person working in my house. read more

Pros: *Crew was professional *Everything was explained to me well *The online invoicing system is really easy to use Cons: *$69 estimate fee (which went to nothing because...) *The quote we were given for both the big and small work was really high. *I was given a few different options to ago about the work but they were all about the same price *When I called about prioritizing the work I was told it all was important and needed immediate attention. I've since spoke to a few electricians and I was given the option to break the work into 2 parts, and I was told some things can be amended and made safe without having to replace everything. I wish this was something EC was ok with. I'm mostly bummed about the $69 because the work was unaffordable and I couldn't go with EC. read more

Great company that comes through when you need them! Power went out in my home on a Sunday afternoon. Called and initially spoke with Oscar who said he would try to get a tech out there today but if not, would have someone out there first thing in morning. Sure enough Josh showed up at 9:00 Monday morning and was able to diagnose the problem right away. He provided me with different options for upgrade of the indoor and outdoor breakers, including price estimates. Josh was even able to temporarily get the electricity back on while he ordered the necessary parts. Parts took a couple days, during which the power went out again. Josh came all the way out to my home again in between job calls and got it back up and running til the parts arrived on Friday. Throughout all this I was kept informed with calls from Selena in the office as well as texts from Josh. Paul came out soon after the job was completed to do the final inspection and was also very professional and courteous. Very positive experience with Electrical Connections. Gonna make them my go to for any future home electrical needs! read more

Had an electrical panel replaced for an upgraded one. Also some additional electrical outlet work as done. However their finish was not the best as other companies had. They replaced the panel just fine, but the finish on the foundation where the electrical wire entered the home was not as cleanly finished as other companies who performed similar work. Also the labeling for the electrical panel was not finished the same day as installation but had to be done on another day. Over decent service for the prices. read more

I scheduled them due to ease of scheduling on their website. They mentioned a discounted consultation fee to assess my issue. But they did not let me know that they proceeded to do work and charged me an extra $200 for work I didn't authorize. They "lowered" that price from a $500 charge. On top of it all they didn't even find the solution to my issue. Avoid and find another electrician. read more

The front desk was nice and considerate. technician came on time, friendly and knowledgeable. price given was better than other quotes I had. I'm sure i will use this service again next time. read more

I like how they do business; well organized, good processes and they know their jobs from electrical code & safety to back office scheduling & billing. I had them out to quote me to add some outdoor outlets; very thorough inspection and scoping the project & even identified an incorrect grade of power line feeding our outdoor HVAC unit. This had been previously missed or overlooked by a home inspector, another electrician, & an HVAC tech. I thought the quote was reasonable and we set up the installation. I wanted to say how happy & impressed I am with the excellent work Kisan did. He was timely, professional, very helpful & easy to work with, & very detail oriented. He communicated very well about any breaker shutoffs needed to integrate the breaker, showed me everything that was done, & explained the breaker & outlet operation. Kisan left the work area very well buttoned up & clean. Found my go-to electrical shop & electrician Kisan! read more

Eddie is a true professional. Upon entry he immediately identified himself, slid on shoe covers, and ask if we had any questions. WOW. Old school is truly appreciated. Eddie is very personable, knowledgeable and someone your company should be very proud to have on the team. His approach made all the difference in rectifying our situation. We have used your services for a while now and we certainly will continue and will pass on our experience with you to all to our friends. Eddie is good people and a straight shooter. We had Josh T. add outdoor outlets, a whole-home surge protector and upgrade an outlet in the garage. Sounds like an easy job but our house is old and presented lots of challenges. He was very sharp, clearly knows his stuff. Professional and cleaned-up all the areas well where he had to drill through brick. Would definitely call again. read more

I don't think you could find a better encounter with an electrical contractor then these folks. Now, don't just take my word for it. Wait until you hear what the County electrical inspector said, and how the inspection went down. During a third party safety inspection, we got some bad news about our 47 year old electrical panel. I went looking for someone who could get the job done right. I settled on Electrical Connections after getting multiple bids to replace the entire panel. They weren't the cheapest bid, nor were they the most expensive. They were in the middle. The work was performed by Tim Davis. He was prompt, professional, and prepared for anything. He changed out the entire panel in six hours. Fast forward to the county inpection: On Friday, my wife and I were in the kitchen. She said, "Honey, there are four men with clipboards coming up our walk." It turns out the senior inspector was training 3 other new inspectors. At each turn during the inspection, he would quiz each of them separately. Before he replaced the panel cover, he said, "This guy's been around awhile. It's a textbook installation." What better service could I ask for? I'll be referring this contractor to anyone that will listen. Thank you all. read more

This company is worth its weight in gold. I have a home built in 1975 and it needed a good update after a few issues were occurring. They sent Josh out and he performed a professional examination on my property. We than discussed what was best to protect my largest investment and than EC gave my 18 months interest fee payments. Over 5 years we have replaced every.single.inch of our house (and I mean everything: the entire HVAC system; every inch of plumbing and electric; all the walls down to the studs; interior and exterior doors ripped out and replaced; every single window; new siding; every single appliance; replaced the wood stove; even repaired parts of the foundation). Every step has been a literal nightmare - for example the latest issue was that the siding contractor trimmed so close to the windows that none of them have sufficient clearance to open anymore. I've had no fewer than 50 contractors work on my home in the past 5 years and it's been awful. Tim from Electrical Connections is the only person that ever did a job right the first time. And he's done all our electrical work, including gutting two bathrooms, gutting and expanding the kitchen, relocating the entire electrical box to another room in the house, and moving outlets. And our house is very weird - no crawl space, no attic space, not even space between the ceiling and the roof to run wires, so it's required lots of unique solutions. He is worth his weight in gold. read more

After some initial communications issues, Guillermo, the owner of this company, contacted me with a personal apology and a promise to resolve my recessed lighting issues. He even offered us a hefty discount for our troubles. Tim and Guillermo installed everything I asked for, answering all of my nagging questions, and kept a kind and professional manner the entire time. This is peak customer service and excellent electrical work. They did thorough research beforehand to ensure my needs were met 100%. Highly recommended, and will most likely use them again for future electrical work. Thank you! read more

I purchased an electric vehicle and required work to add a Nema 14-50 plug. I ended up needing additional work done (Heavy Up + replacing 3 exterior outlets) to bring our house up to code before I could get the plug installed. Electrical Connections really differentiates themselves with their fixed pricing solutions so you are not left feeling the quote came out of thin air. As I researched the benefits of copper vs. aluminum they help us understand the value of copper wiring. I was able to verify everything they told me with my in-law who is a master electrician. Tim Davis was professional and maintained a standard of excellence from quotation to project completion. Electrical Connections completed our project as stated and even helped us with a few minor items at no additional cost. I won't hesitate to use them in the future. read more

At the end of last year my girlfriend said she smelled smoke in our Guest house when coming in and out of our front door. I never smelled anything and dismissed it as someone having a fire outside. That weekend at about 8pm, I did smell it and realized it was coming from the electrical panel. Being a contractor, I pulled the panel cover off and saw nothing, but it did smell worse. Our neighbors also have a Historic home, and said great things about Guillermo and his crew. I called Electrical Connections and they were at our house within 45 minutes. Guillermo's father also works for the company and was near by and came right out to start diagnosing. Within minutes he discovered the problem and some charred wires. It turned out that the amount of power being used in the Guest house was more than the outdated wires running to it could handle. They made the problem safe that night and then came back to trench and run a larger wire from the main house to the guest house. They were always on time, clean and polite and even managed to work around the not so friendly dogs on the property. They honored the price quoted and never tried to push any unnecessary services. I cannot recommend these guys enough. This is the company I would trust to send to my Grandmas home if she ever needed their services. Thanks William, Tim, Guillermo and everyone that worked at our house. We will definitely use you again. read more

I contacted Electrical Connections after reading their glowing Yelp reviews and I emphatically affirm their professionalism and quality of service! I needed my televisions mounted, so I completed the inquiry form on their website for a quote. Within an hour a representative called me and scheduled a time for the contractor, Tim, to do a home visit. Tim is fantastic! He is very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. We finalized the service date, and Tim arrived promptly and expertly mounted the television. If you are in Gaithersburg and require electrical work, these guys can't be beat. Thanks again! read more
