Incredibly overpriced in my opinion along with other electrician company I contacted. But honestly that wasn't the main issue. This was maybe the most annoying and oddest consultation of my life. From the very beginning I was being very clear that I only wanted my outlets replaced, nothing else. I reiterated this verbally in person. The technician, kept on trying to sell me a membership and additional services. I would say "I just want my outlets fixed" and then he would completely ignore me and go on to sell me about replacing the circuits. This happened over and over again. I would say "please I don't want this service" and then he would just go right back to other services. I actually couldn't believe what was happening. I was incredibly uncomfortable the entire time. For the 4th time, I was again very direct in not wanting any additional work. I literally said "I do not care for anything but the outlets". But he just didn't care and kept going for 15 minutes about working on my panel. Like oh my god, what is happening. It was additionally rude when I told him I was on a time crunch but then he still spent 30-40 mins creating an additional 4 quotes for the work that I insisted I didn't want. They straight up did not care about me and what I wanted. He kept saying I'm the top priority while also completely disregarding what I do not want. If a customer tells you to stop, please stop. I was incredibly upfront with the services that I wanted but this guy was on a mission to charge me $9356. I ultimately didn't continue with this company and reached out to another one who did the work for $300, which was the quote I also received from other electricians in the area. I truly do not know how they justify charging $2807 for only 6 outlets. Listen to the other reviewers. I had the same experience of the worker just looking for upgrades rather than what I called for. He spent nearly 20 minutes analyzing my electrical panels to see where he can charge me additional services after I just told him I only want the outlets. Stop trying to phrase this is for your customers when you blatantly ignore their needs and wants. This was such a weird experience and I lost $89 for the dispatch fee.

And even though the scope of the project increased, he insisted on completing the job at the original rate (although I'm not going to let him, because the scope had increased substantially, and that is clearly my own doing). When working with someone new, it's always a toss up on how things will go when unexpected difficulties arise, and I'm very pleased in how Luis does business. Six-stars! UPDATE: the job is done and we are awaiting inspection this week. The pictures speak for themselves. We are extremely satisfied with our Tesla Wall connector Gen 3 installation. Luis went up and over our garage with EMT to get to the nearby panel. He had to upgrade a breaker to a double pole 60A breaker and also had to update the breaker that goes to the subpanel in the main panel to 100A. Tesla had sent us a bad wall connector the first time around and advised us remotely that the electrical work done was perfect and that all power levels were as expected. Luis insisted on coming out himself anyhow to double check everything even though I assured him it was Teslas wall connector. Sure enough the wiring was perfect and when the new wall connector arrived I popped it on and everything worked like magic.

Then, upon realizing there was no power to the light switch, the technician just left my old wires exposed after removing the old outdoor light fixture. Just moved in, so I wasn't sure what was going on with that switch. So I asked if he could fix it, while he was here. His response was "he had to call his boss to get an estimate and that it had to be done another day because it was too late." At this point the technician offered to install the Blink Video Doorbell for $100. I guess in his mind, it was half the work, so half the price... Again, I was given an estimate in person, the day before for installation of both. The Video Doorbell is maybe 1/8th of an inch off center. He did a decent enough job. For $100 to drill two holes, I would've liked it dead center. Then the next morning I received an email with an estimate for $525, to fix the power and install the floodlight.

I just bought a house and needed a few electrical jobs done in order to have things working the way I needed them. I reached out to a few electricians for quotes and JD Electric was the most reasonable. I scheduled for JD electric to come and work on the projects. Julian was prompt and professional. I had a bedroom that needed a light fixture added because it was the only room without lighting. Not only was he able to get a matching fixture to match the existing ones in my house but he was also able to change the switch in that room to control the new light instead of an outlet. I also had a row of outlets that were all connected to each other including the fridge. He was able to rewire it so that the fridge is on its own circuit. I would highly recommend JD Electric for any job anyone needs. They'll definitely be my go-to electrician for any further jobs I need. read more

I can finally use my garbage disposal and dishwasher again! My garbage disposal stopped working just as the pandemic hit. Without it I couldn't use my dishwasher, else the sink would back up. I figured I would have to replace the garbage disposal at worst. Had JD Electric check the connection, just in case. Julian found a bad switch, replaced it quickly, and had my garbage disposal and dishwasher back up and running within the hour. On an earlier visit, he also ran a long line and installed a high amp outlet in our garage to charge our electric vehicle and did a high quality job. Julian was very responsive by email and text. Was even able to arrive a little earlier when I arrived home earlier than our scheduled window. He was reasonably priced, polite, and his work was thorough. Julian and his team were simply the best. (BETTER THAN ALL THE REST) He walked us through our *numerous* issues dealing with old wiring in our home. Then they went above and beyond to fix everything as we had planned: receptacle replacement, new wiring, installation of can lights, install of new receptacles in our garage, cleaning up wiring in our utility room, fixing poor wiring between two added breaker panels... you name it, they did it. We were so impressed with their speed and commitment to detail. Absolutely a master electrician. In his work he discovered an issue with the wiring to our boiling system and fixed it, too! Wow, what an incredible team. JD Electric is everything you could ask for in an electrician. WE called him out to install a list of new equipment in our home we recently bought. Little did we know when we bought the home that the entire home is made out of 3/4 inch plaster on every wall. That didn't stop the JD electrical team from getting the job done! I had him install three ceiling fans, replace all the outlets and switches, and installed 15 recessed lights throughout our house. Julian and his team where punctual, professional, and worked their butts off to get the job done in time for my daughters birthday party. Julian was great to work with, I don't normally write reviews but I would recommend him to friends. Him and his assistant were able to install several complicated light fixtures and fans in our home while abiding by covid best practices. Their work was very clean and meticulous in the best way possible. I purchased an expensive designer fixture second hand from community forklift and I watched him make sure he did it perfectly while I was working from home in an adjacent room. I really appreciate the attention to detail and he was super nice. If it wasn't covid I would have asked him to hang out and have a beer. read more

Service was outstanding and reasonable. Had an unusual electrical problem. Whole room loss power. Thinking it was an easy fix, had a service person identify a breaker in the service panel. After testing, had the breaker replaced. That did not fix the problem. Called JD Electric and they diagnosed the problem to a strangely wired outlet. I have some experience and I thought the problem was much worse. I could have easily been talked in to a more costly service and repair. Nice to have an honest company and technician that only sold me the service needed. read more

I found JD Electric through Yelp and Julian was very responsive and got back to me quickly. I needed someone to run a 50A power line to the back of my house so I can install an electric car charger. After coming out to take a look, Julian promptly sent me 2 estimates for two different options. I ended up going with Julian and he showed up right on time to start the work. Julian is a true professional and a master in his trade. When i moved into my house in February it was completely knob and tube and all of my outlets were not grounded. He came the next day and got it all knocked out in the midst of my move in chaos. Recently, I needed an outlet put into my fireplace and i knew he was the man for the job. He confirmed a loose neutral wire was the cause, corrected the issue, and replaced the arc fault breakers that were shot due to the original issue. We were back up and running very quickly.
