So yeah, I discovered that Retro Metro, one of my favorite little gift shops, in Frederick had moved like almost everything now-a-days online. So I went onto their website and literally within seconds... bought something. I like literally have never been so triggered. I was like- OH MAN, that's cute I'm gonna buy that for my friend %^&*. So the the thing is, I can't tell you what I got cause it's being shipped right now, and I don't want to ruin the surprise for that person. But it's this super cute thing that I know my friend will love. There are very few times I've walked into Retro Metro and haven't walked out with something adorable. And I feel that you get that same experience online. They just have the most unique, cute, fun gifts. ALSO, they have a NICE SIZE Maryland pride section with so much Maryland Flag Swag. Definitely worth browsing around. Perfect place for gifts for pretty much any occasion I can think of off the top of my head.

This is an email I sent to customer support: "We recently purchased an area rug for $249.99 that was advertised as 8ft x 10ft. I have attached a photo that we took when were deciding on which rug to buy which shows this. When we got it home and unpacked it there was a label attached that told us the rug's actual size was 7ft 10in x 8ft 11in. I have attached a photo of this label as well. We are extremely disappointed to have paid $250 for a product that is not at all what we expected. We had measured our living room and wanted an 8ft x 10ft rug for the space. We still really like the rug and do not wish to return it, but are not at all pleased with this case of false advertising. We felt it important to bring this matter to your attention and hope you will consider making some changes in your stores to avoid any more upset customers. As it is, we are not sure we can trust At Home for any future purchases and would advise others of the same." The response I got was: "Hi Stewart, Thanks for contacting us! The shop owners father has made them & if I remember correctly, he's in his 80's. They are so lovingly made! The shop owners name escapes me (my apologies) but she was lovely. This particular HG location was exceptionally neat and organized. The clearance areas throughout the store were a breeze to shop in while walking down the aisle. Items were clearly marked and not just dumped into the area. Furniture pieces were not grouped in one common area, but in the aisles as well by category. For instance, benches were located in the same area. I also noticed that the store had a sign on a defective table with a top that was not secure. I thought that was a good idea to have a warning label on there since there are kids in the store. It was also a good sign that I did not observe a lot of damaged items for resale. Most items were in new condition and placed in the correct location with similar items. The checkout process was quick and fully staffed to accommodate the line.
