Lovely space. I was drawn to the window arrangement and had to go inside. Once inside, I got a better view of a rack full of decorative, but functional, bowls and wanted to buy all of them. The entire store was filled top to bottom with random odds and ends I want, but don't need, for my home. Very cool tchotchkes but also very pricy. Drawback was the hovering staff. No matter where I was, one of the two women there was somewhere nearby, straightening things that didn't need to be straightened. I was with 3 other people who didn't get the same amount of attention. Hmmm. Anyway, my friends were lingering too long, so I made my way outside. read more

This a lovely boutique store in downtown Frederick! I'd never been in the store, but I'm so happy that I stopped in. It had perfect items for gift giving. The store is still stuffed to the brim with random nicknacks that make it uncomfortable and anxiety inducing to walk around in. Especially when everything is so expensive The staff hovers around you like flies and never seem happy to be at their job. Conversation seemed forced and superficial. I had just moved into a new living situation and had discovered this little hole in the wall while exploring Fredrick as I am always a huge fan of smaller shops in general. But honestly, I wasn't impressed being here. It really seemed like a more expensive home goods for the same quality of items, and staff always seem irritated or annoyed whenever I touched any of the items. If you are going to charge these prices I should at least be able to interact with the item without eye rolls or glares from the employees. All and all, I walked out without buying anything. I've been here so many times and always loved their products. I've bought there cute little pinch pots, jewelry trays, calendars, and recently stalked the store for wine glasses. I came in three times to chose the perfect ones and finally settled on two different types (4 glasses total) all together totaling just over $100. On the very first use, one broke by just simply putting an ice cube into it. I didn't not even get to use it once. I can back to speak with them hoping to work something out like returning or getting a replacement. I expect that a store that sells expensive higher end goods would be able to guarantee quality. The manager would not allow me to return but said "it should have lasted you a while". When I pointed out there must have been an issue with the ones I was sold, they said "it seems situational, but they are sorry.". I'm extremely disappointed in this place. read more

My husband and I had an awful experience with Relish Decor. We registered for a set of "fine" dinnerware (marketed as fine stoneware--$100+ per table setting) from Relish Décor and were so excited to receive the set. When we received them, we were horrified to find many pieces broken or chipped in the set. Considering the set seemed to be packaged and protected very well, we had concerns about the quality of the dinnerware set, especially considering how expensive it was ($100 per setting). We requested that my sister-in-law receive a refund for the set and we would return the pieces to relish décor due to the quality issues. What followed was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Relish Décor refused to let us return (we were even willing to pay for shipping) the set so my sister-in-law could get a refund for the low- quality dinnerware. Despite going back and forth about the obvious quality issues, the owner of relish decor refused to offer a refund. They did replace the broken pieces but you've guessed it--they're already showing significant wear and damage despite only 1 month of use. Now we are stuck with the low quality dishes. We were hoping these dishes would be a blessing as we start our marriage but have turned into a nightmare. 1 month later we are having to buy a brand new set of dishes from Target and my sister-in-law is out $200+. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM RELISH DÉCOR. YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE ANY KIND OF REFUND FOR THEIR POOR QUALITY, ONLY RUDE MANAGEMENT AND UNACCEPTABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. This is such a gem of a store with all kinds of options and selections. Today they had 20% off on all Frasier fur products like scented candles, diffusers hand creams etc. They have so many packages of items from cooking utensils to iron cast pots, beeswax products. Specialty mugs, well designed storage canisters, and unique signs. They greet you at the door and say goodbye when you leave. It is an awesome small business that offers so many unique items. Strolled by during the "Frederick In the Streets" Street festival on a beautiful sunny day in September 2021. The jars on tables caught my attention and upon inquiry learned they were drink mix in a jar concoctions. Thinking this was a resturant or some kind of craft cocktail place went a bit further with the sales associate and ended up purchasing an "old fashioned" "Camp Brand" cocktail mix in what looks like a mason jar. There were also large "family size pretzel jar" containers with what appears to be dried fruit and other assorted ingredients when after adding liquor of your choice transform into deliscious cocktails, maybe even better than the bar-tender made type. Well not really thinking about it and riding high on the in the street vibe, went ahead an shelled out ~ $30 for a mason jar with some dried fruit in it. The sales associate was somewhat cluless and didnt even offer to return change or a receipt and on completing the transaction immediately latched on to another passerby without blinking. I walked away contemplating the purchase then realized that my change was absent as well as receipt. On walking back to the sales associate, she offered to go inside to get change, which seemed odd and unprepared.. Also there was another sales associate there who didnt offer any service either.. From the other reviews of this place, agree with the assertion that the items here are on the $$$ pricey side. Really overpriced when you think about it... Im not sure what the "Camp" brand cocktails go for on the internet, but quick searach returned website https://www.campcraftcocktails.com/ with $25 price range for the item that Relish charged $30 for.. So I would say buyer beware. Not going to knock this place for quality but the prices could use reality check and even willing to pay a bit more if the service improved.. For example a quick apology for no change or acknowledgement that they are basically re-selling another companies product with mark up.. Good luck. read more

Walking through Frederick late Saturday night, but all the antique stores are closing! SO we wander into Relsih Decor (open late on Saturdays!), which looks and acts antiquey, but is modern in taste (and price!). I'm a dude, I was kind of bored in here, but my wife LOVED it! Top 5: 5. Aprons - that will make your lady look GOOD and fashionable whilst cooking 4. 50's era american vintage kitchen-stuffs - mixing bowls, kitchen timers, ice-cream scoops, and swirl straws 3. Mason jar themed stuff - your grandma would never guess that those jars she had in a box in the basement are making a STRONG comeback 2. Wooden cutting boards - Natural woodcut boards of all shades and shapes 1. Wine and Liquor scented soy candles - in old bottles to boot! (I couldn't smell it though) The staff was super nice, so I wanted to give them a shout-out. We bought a mint-green mason jar flower vase, but my wife is gonna go back this weekend. Relish is my favorite store in Downtown Frederick! The products they carry are thoughtfully curated. This is my go-to store for housewarming or birthday presents, or a treat yo'self gift. I love their cocktail section-- the Jack Rudy bitters are out of this world. Also, they have Kantha quilts!!! It is so very hard to find these in person.
