I always support small and local businesses. In times like these it's more important than ever. I called the business and the owner answered, he was friendly and said how can he put a smile on my face today. With just that I smiled and knew they were the business for me. For me to help local businesses and keep them going, it's everything right now. And I want to do my part. I got an appointment for the next day and was told of the fee to come out and asses the work (I needed some lights and a lampost removed) and was completely fine with that. The next day I got a call that the tech could come earlier, would that be okay. I said yes, of course, because where am I gonna go, LOL. Got and advanced call that Josh was on his way then a call that he was here. He gave me the price and I was very happy with that. He removed the lights quickly and I then mentioned that the doorbell were not working, can he look at it. And yes, there were two for the font door. Mind you, I just moved in and there are things that need so much fixing, these were just a few that can get done now. He proceeded to fix the one that came with the house. So I got on yelp to look for an electrician, and it seemed like most had the same star ratings, so I just narrowed it down and went with the first. I have to say that I am glad I did. I had called and left a message I'm thinking after hours, so I was not expecting a call back until the next day, but low and behold I get a call back 5 minutes later, after giving Guillermo some info we try to figure out a time for him to come, long story short, he was able to make some arrangements and he was able to have one of his manager techs Tim come by the next day, he also took the time to explain what I should expect from Tim. The day of, I reach out to my wife to ask if Tim had showed up and what the damage was, and the fist thing she said was, how extremely impressed she was with Tim (note, my wife can be hard to impress), she started on how professional and knowledgeable he was, and that he was very respectful and courteous. He went over everything and was very thorough. All in all, my wife and I are more then happy and impressed by how well they do business. He fixed an issue I had (power was not making it to the yard - turned out to be a short in part of my pool equipment) as part of the initial visit - didn't try to bilk me for it or anything. This place is great. We called on a Sunday, and they got back to us Monday. We were able to schedule an appointment for that Wednesday. We had initially hired another electrician to wire some ceiling fans for us. My husband was able to put the fans up, but needed someone to set up the wiring because there was previously no wiring or lights established in these two rooms. When we set up the ceiling fans, one room wouldn't even turn on (lights or fan) and the second room the remote control for the fan wouldn't even work. After paying so much it was frustrating. So, round two, we hired these guys and it was a world of difference. Josh is amazing. He called to let me know when he would arrive, he arrived on time, and was friendly and courteous. He even encouraged me to ask him any questions and all questions I had about what he was doing. He then also explained to me the individual issues with each set of wiring, and what he did in order to rectify the problem. The only reason this place is getting 4 stars and not 5 is pricing. It is a little pricey, but completely worth it. They have a book system, which establishes price. So there is no guessing game if they happen to be charging you more than another more knowledgeable customer. I found this to be a sign of trustworthiness and integrity. You get what you pay for. You want great work, it's going to cost a little more. And I would totally pay it again. I just wish we had started with them. And if you have Josh come out, you're definitely in luck. read more

First off, This company is amazing, they arrived to my house at the beginning of the scheduled time window (which never happens), and put on shoe covers which I really appreciated cause I just had the carpets cleaned. With so many electrical companies available in my area, I chose Electrical Connections largely because of their outstanding reviews on Yelp. After the work done by EC's Tim Davis, I am pleased to add another 5 star review for this company. I am not handy at all and have almost no understanding of things electrical. When Tim came to install my three ceiling fans (with lights), he explained EC's straight forward pricing system and described exactly what he was going to do, step by step. He worked efficiently, patiently answered all my questions (helping me to decide between pull chain and remote control installation) and did a great job. A year passed and I decided to install new track lighting. Tim was endlessly patient and guided me through the process of choosing the right type of lighting for my particular needs. He explained the differences between LED and CFL bulbs (I grew up with incandescent lights) and suggested that I send him links to various track heads and integrated fixtures that I was considering. He served as my lighting consultant really, before I finally made a purchase and he came for the installation of tracks, lights and dimmers. Tim is a professional in the best sense, highly skilled and proud of his work. Customer satisfaction is a very high priority for him. I think that must reflect the overall integrity of this company. I wish I could say I had a good experience with this company, but I was left feeling like they didn't have time to switch out a few lights. Tim, who was scheduled to come between 2 and 4, never did show up. Nor did he call. What did happen is a different person showed up, very nice guy, but late in the day - almost 5. He couldn't stay. Needless to say, the whole afternoon was a waste. Too bad Tim didn't have the courtesy to call. I was super frustrated and their bid - straight-front pricing - was astronomically HIGH. $950 to do what I had an electrician do today for $400. It took 2 hours. So glad it didn't work out. I would have felt cheated. I'd say $400 for 2 hours work is still very good money. read more
