Elec Connections originally came out for a faulty switch and we ended up having them do their safety inspection on our entire electrical system. This is the first residential company that I have even heard of that has an IR camera that measures temperature of electrical components. We are glad they did the inspection because they came across a lot issues the previous owners did that was not safe. The issues they found could have easily caused a fire. We ended up replacing our electrical panel and had them properly grounding our entire electrical system. I am sure glad they offered the inspection service because you never know what safety issues you may have. There techs were very knowledgeable and polite. It was a pleasure dealing with this service company. We highly recommend their inspection. read more

Guillermo guided me up front of how much it would cost to fix and install a light fixture. He took his tie and cared about my customer satisfaction. He has a very high work ethical standard. read more

Great customer service. Prompt and courteous, clean up is above average for contractors. Safe, quality work.

Tim at EC has handled matters large and small for us. Always polite, helpful, and thorough in his explanations.

Gabriel provided great customer service. He was on time, courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. He replaced a dimmer switch for me and also took time to replace an outdoor outlet cover for me. He was respectful of my property and cleaned up after he completed his work. In addition he provided detailed information about other electrical work in my home as well as current regulations relative to smoke detectors and provided an estimate. I am very happy with the service and appreciative of the time he took to answer questions and provide information. My overall experience with this company from the receptionist, owner, and technician was very positive. I will definitely be a repeat customer. read more

Guillermo was absolutely amazing. From the time that I contacted the business i was nothing more than pleased with the customer service that I received. Guillermo came to my home and repaired an issue with my microwave and lighting circuits. Although this was an issue from another contractor, he offered a very honest opinion and immediately came up with a solution to my problem. I trusted his opinion and respected his honesty and would recommend Electrical Connections to anyone! Pros: Entered my home and placed shoe protectors on shoes, laid down mats in areas where he would be working, very neat work, friendly, knowledgeable, passionate about the work that he does. Look forward to working with Guillermo whenever my Electrical needs arise!!! read more

"I had a power outage in my home and Electrical Connections LLC responded right away on Monday morning and even called to move my appointment up earlier in the day. Guillermo was very professional, he explained the issues to me in non-technical language. I have a home office and since Guillermo was replacing my electrical panel and had to turn the power off for most of the day, he hooked up my wireless router to a generator in his truck, so I could keep working during the day. Outstanding customer service". Maggie. read more

Electrical Connections did several small jobs around our newly purchased house (installing a new outlet, upgrading existing outlet to handle our microwave, and adding a surge protector to our breaker box). Every time they were prompt, friendly, explained their pricing model clearly, and did good work! They're going to be our go-to electricians; I can't think of anything negative to say about our experiences thus far! read more

Fast friendly service. I called around 11pm expecting to leave a message, but to my surprise, the owner answered. He took my info and called back the next day. Guillermo arrived on time, was courteous, listened to my concerns, explained how he would proceed, then provided recommendations and pricing. I would highly recommend this company. read more

Great solutions at a good competitive price for a certified electrician. Made great recommendations and left my place immaculate.

Yes, I took a gamble! I looked at all the reviews and decided to trust and give Electrical Connections a try. First, Jennifer, the phone receptionist, was beyond polite, clear, responsive and professional. She scheduled an appointment for me right away. Shortly after that, I received a confirmation call from Tim that he would be out to my house and gave me a clear time frame to expect him. When he arrived at the time he said he would, Tim was beyond what I expected and certainly what have experienced in the past with other local electrical companies in terms of professionalism, knowledge and politeness. See, Tim and Jennifer are OWNERS! They care about their business and their customers! I am so impressed by the quality of their service, professionalism and good ole' neighborly kindness! Tim Davis was a GEM! Quick to respond, timely in their arrival, polite, professional, knowledgeable, honest, trustworthy, better than reasonable in their fees schedule.......I can't say enough good things about them! I have FINALLY found the ONLY electrician I will EVER NEED! Thank you Tim and Jennifer! Thank you Electrical Connections! read more

Great Service!!! Really paid attention to the customers requests. The 24 hour emergency contact service reassured me that my needs as a customer were a priority of the company. Overall, they are were a pleasure to work with, I had no issue because the customer service was exceptional, nothing like other companies that put you on hold for hours. I will definitely come back to them regarding any electrical services I may need in the future. read more

I had a fairly complicated job but Josh and Guillermo were not discouraged. They persisted until the problem was resolved. They are competent, courteous, and arrive on time as promised. The service here is not cheap but at least you get full value for money. I would never use any other company for my electrical work and I recommend it unreservedly. read more

I wish I could say I had a good experience with this company, but I was left feeling like they didn't have time to switch out a few lights. Tim, who was scheduled to come between 2 and 4, never did show up. Nor did he call. What did happen is a different person showed up, very nice guy, but late in the day - almost 5. He couldn't stay. Needless to say, the whole afternoon was a waste. Too bad Tim didn't have the courtesy to call. I was super frustrated and their bid - straight-front pricing - was astronomically HIGH. $950 to do what I had an electrician do today for $400. It took 2 hours. So glad it didn't work out. I would have felt cheated. I'd say $400 for 2 hours work is still very good money. read more

We used Electrical Connections for the first time today, and Yelp came through again. It was a great experience. The company provides excellent customer service, and straightforward pricing. After making the appointment, we were sent background information about, and a picture of the electrician. It's a nice safety feature to know who to expect at your door. Plus it's a bonus to see the electrician's level of experience. We were really impressed by the electrician, Josh Neal. He did the work efficiently, and has a great customer rapport. Josh also gave us some tips to think about for future projects. No pressure, just stuff to consider that we hadn't thought of. Don't expect a bargain price. Instead, expect fair pricing for quality work performed by skilled electricians. In our book, it's definitely worth it. We won't hesitate to call on Electrical Connections for future work. read more

Originally I posted a negative review but Guillermo contacted us immediately to rectify the situation. There was a misunderstanding and his technician charged us for installing a doorbell kit which includes a transformer. We already have a transformer, the only installation he did was put in a new plastic doorbell. Guillermo was very responsive and immediately rectified the issue. read more

With so many electrical companies available in my area, I chose Electrical Connections largely because of their outstanding reviews on Yelp. After the work done by EC's Tim Davis, I am pleased to add another 5 star review for this company. I am not handy at all and have almost no understanding of things electrical. When Tim came to install my three ceiling fans (with lights), he explained EC's straight forward pricing system and described exactly what he was going to do, step by step. He worked efficiently, patiently answered all my questions (helping me to decide between pull chain and remote control installation) and did a great job. A year passed and I decided to install new track lighting. Tim was endlessly patient and guided me through the process of choosing the right type of lighting for my particular needs. He explained the differences between LED and CFL bulbs (I grew up with incandescent lights) and suggested that I send him links to various track heads and integrated fixtures that I was considering. He served as my lighting consultant really, before I finally made a purchase and he came for the installation of tracks, lights and dimmers. Tim is a professional in the best sense, highly skilled and proud of his work. Customer satisfaction is a very high priority for him. I think that must reflect the overall integrity of this company. I have recommended Electrical Connections to the property manager of my condo community unreservedly. read more

We are working with Tim for several projects in our house. He's exactly what you want in an electrician - knowledgeable, fast, courteous, responsive and he does a great quality job. Their pricing is straightforward and fair. I would recommend Tim and Electrical Connections without hesitation, and I will definitely be using them again in the future. read more

Guillermo, Tim and Wilmer were superb. According to my husband, every small business should operate as this team does. Guillermo made us feel very comfortable and at ease - the estimate was on point, and we felt they carried out the work as if in their own home. Cannot recommend highly enough. read more

My husband and I were in a sticky situation after finding electrical issues on home inspection during home purchase. After talking to numerous electricians, Tim was the most helpful and honest electrician out there. He gave honest opinion and options for my husband and I to take. Even though I ended up not using their services b/c we decided to not purchase the home, I know for a fact that I will be using this electrician in the future for all my electrical needs. They are highly professional with their response and advice. read more

Great experience. I think great workmanship (this was done on a rental property so I haven't seen it) and outstanding customer service from Tim, Guillermo and Ximena. read more

I too contacted Electrical Connections after reading the Yelp reviews. My internet/cable was down--related to an outdoor plug Verizon was using. I am so glad that I used Electrical Connections to update all of the lighting in my home. Tim was very knowledgeable, patient, and thorough. What I really appreciate about this company is their straightforward, no BS approach. When Tim came to my house, he came equipped with a couple of binders. One had all of the licenses, insurance forms and other certificates to show that they are a legit, professional and well bonded company that thoroughly vets and performs routine drug testing on all of it's employees. The second binder was the company price list. He explained in detail each level of pricing and showed me the page that would apply to my specific job. He also explained that the prices on the page were flat rates - that even if the job took longer than he anticipated or if he found something that would require additional wiring, etc., he would not call me and say, "Weeeellll, I didn't know at the time that there were other issues, so the job is going to cost you $500 more". Nope, none of that. The price I was given was FINAL. Next, scheduling the actual job was a breeze. I told him that I wanted the job done fairly soon, but I needed it done on a weekend or later in the evening because I don't work near home and wasn't able to take a day off. I agreed to leave him a key to my house so that he could come in and do the job while I was at work - a great leap of faith and trust for me! That day, I received an automated call to let me know that the technician was en route to my house. Several hours later, I got a call from Tim letting me know that the job was complete, that everything looked good and to let him know what I thought when I got home. I was excited to see the final result, so it was the very first thing I did when I walked in the door. WOW! What a difference! Not only was the job was done perfectly, but there was no sign that he was ever even there. He left no mess, no debris, no dust behind. The house was just as I had left it, but with MUCH better lighting. I HIGHLY recommend Electrical Connections to ANYONE who is looking for honesty and integrity (and friendliness!) in a business. These guys are great and I will definitely call on them for any future projects! read more

I heard about Electrical Connections from a friend that was very satisfied with their work. We initially hired them for electrical inspection. Guillermo did a thorough inspection, he checked the whole house very carefully, and explained everything to us addressing all the safety problems that we had (four hours inspection!). He found many code violations and exposed some floppy job that the previous "expert" made. We hired his service to fix all the problems and we add also installation of outdoor sub panel, smoke detectors, surge protectors, TV and more... My husband and I were very impressed by Guillermo's professionalism and knowledge. He gave us some electrical solutions that no one thought about before. He is very reliable, arriving at the specified time and doing the job to our 100% satisfaction. The price was fair for the labor and some of the non-standard parts that were involved. I felt a lot safer after he finished. When we do renovations, we will definitely work with Electrical connections. read more

I've had electrical connections (Tim, specifically) out to do a couple electrical projects for me in the past 6 months. Each time the service has been outstanding. They do a great job at a set and reasonable price. This should be everyone's go to company in the area for any electrical needs. read more

We had ceiling fans installed in our house. Making the appointment was very easy. The wire needed to be run and the installer was incredibly professional about everything from his knowledge to cleaning up after himself. We had other electrical work done in our home before finding out about Electrical Connections and I would never use anyone else again. The cherry on top was the customer service to follow up with the project after completion. I highly recommend! read more

James from Electrical Connections did a fantastic job installing two lights in our new home. He was on time, patient with my chatty four-year-old and extremely professional. He walked me through everything he was doing and did a complimentary safety check of the home. Can't recommend Electrical Connections enough! read more

We requested Electrical Connections to review our outdated outside lighting. The safety review they did was also useful. Their recommendations were very good and we hired them to install new lighting and update a few items inside. All the work was done in a high quality manner. We felt very comfortable with Guillermo and all the technicians, who were very careful about cleanliness and courtesy, as well as being very skilled at their work. The project was completed in a timely manner, at exactly the price they quoted us. Over all we had a very positive experience and would recommend them without reservation. read more

Responsive, attentive, and communicative. Yes, I am talking about a contractor... Electrical Connections! We had some issues during the last string of thunderstorms. The entire team got involved - from the Office Manager (Jennifer) to the techs (Tim, Josh, and Guillermo) to ensure the issues would be addressed promptly and effectively. They were awesome - making adjustments to their schedules, putting their customers first, diagnosing the problem, and implementing solutions and back-ups. Great team and great work ethic! read more

The technicians did a great job. They explained everything they were doing and performed the work requested of them. Another great thing about Electrical Connections is that they try to come out to your house ASAP. I've dealt with too many electricians who can't schedule timely service. Not a problem with EC! read more

My experience with Electrical Connection was a very pleasant one. Tim arrived at my house to diagnose the problem with my electrical box and give me an estimate. While investigating my electrical box he found additional problems (some illegal) that had been done by the previous owners. He was very informative about the problem and what steps should be taken to fix the original problem and the illegal ones. Ultimately it was more cost effective to get a whole new electrical panel box. Tim couldn't make it the next day to do the job but he made a few calls and had victor at our house the next morning almost within 12 hrs to fix the problem. Victor was nice and receptive to all my questions and completed the work quickly. Also I like the fact that electrical connection has a price guide book that they show you. So there is one set price no matter where you live or who you may be. Tim kept me up to date from day one to handeling the permit inspection by Montgomery county, which passed on the first inspection. Definitely will be using electrical connections in the future. read more

Recently, I had a small breaker box electrical issue that caused me to look for a licensed electrician. I called Electrical Connections and they were able to send someone the same day. After confirming the appointment, I received background information for the Tech being dispatched to my home, which was great. Tim called when he was on his way and arrived within the timeframe. He was professional and very friendly. He quickly assessed the situation and fixed the issue within minutes. He also provided me with some feedback and suggestions for future work I inquired about, as well as the fixed pricing guide and maintenance plan options. This was great. I hate feeling like I'm haggling or unclear about the cost for work projects/repairs. This was very straightforward! I will be using EC and Tim as my go to electrician and would recommend Tim to anyone asking for help. Bonus: His knowledge, work ethic, and passion was enough to persuade my son to consider a career as an Electrician! read more
