Their crew removed the walls as well as all insulations behind the walls, they cleaned everything in the common area and they did a truly excellent job. We highly recommend Restortech and Will S. for any restoration work.

Lemony Snicket A Series of Unfortunate Events...that pretty much describes us, and RestorTech is…read moreour MIRACLE, go-to fixer every time we have an event. I don't mean to brag ...but, we're sort of frequent flyers there. We were introduced to John Pletcher, RestorTech's owner, and his crew in July 2011, after our house was struck by lightning and caught fire. We had a lot of structural damage but lost surprisingly little of our personal belongings and household furnishings. RestorTech came out and packed up everything in our house. The pack-out and moving process took about a week and a half. It happened during an awful heat wave with daytime temperatures exceeding 100 each day. The entire crew worked (and sweated) their butts off. All of our belongings were professionally packed, cleaned up/restored and held in storage until a little over a year later, when our home repairs were completed. When it was time to move back into our home, John made sure to send the same crew out to move us back in. Our move-in was more comfortable for the crew because we had working air conditioning unlike during the pack-out. It was wonderful to see them again and it kind of felt somewhat like going to a reunion and seeing friends you haven't seen in a long time. All of our belongings and "stuff" were returned in great condition and several things came back in better condition than when they left. For example, I have a family heirloom desk that belonged to my mom. One of the legs was broken and I just never got around it having it fixed but it was fixed when RestorTech returned it to us. The second and third encounters with RestorTech were for water damage from a burst pipe. They got out here so fast and did such a great job so that only the padding under the carpet was ruined. They were able to extract the water out of the carpet and once it fully dried we just had to replace the section of padding that had been ruined. The cost of those two water encounters was very reasonable which made us happy because we paid out of pocket for those instead of making an insurance claim. There were one or two more minor events where they came to our rescue as well. Throughout all of our history with RestorTech we've worked closely with Molly. She and I, well, we're practically BFF's at this point. Okay, I may have exaggerated that slightly, but seriously, Molly is amazing and we adore her. RestorTech is a great company led by a great man and you can't go wrong in picking them to help you when those traumatic, unfortunate events up-end your life.

They didn't do a good job at all. When I ran my hand over the kitchen counters? You could feel grit like dust. Same for the window sills and blinds. I sent a video to the company and got a long email about how dust/human hair/pet hair settles. They cleaned the day before I was scheduled to move in and no one was in the home and I don't have a pet. Bathroom was dusty still. I asked for my carpets to be cleaned and it seems they just vacuumed them. I need to be able to trust the people I work with and that isn't the case here. Yes, they offered to send the team out again but I wanted my home cleaned BEFORE I moved in. I would not use them again. Update 12/11/20222: I know you are wondering if they were so horrible, why the 4 star review? The owner/manager, Cristian, reached out to me. Very responsive. Very kind and respectful. We came to an agreeable resolution. I respect and greatly appreciate the service in terms of how he responded. In the interest of fairness, for that and based on the first time they cleaned the townhouse, I can give 4 stars.

Communication was lacking the day they were supposed to come out and only became more responsive after I voiced concerns about the quality of the work. To their credit, they did make an effort to address the issue by offering to send someone back, which I appreciated. However, it feels more like a recurring issue with their team. Overall, I did not find the value to match the quality of work done, and I personally would not use or recommend their services. We live and we learn.

Installers show up without stair runners, never added to the work order, never ordered. Got passed around from person to person until I ended up with Mike, who was totally dismissive. Said Warren didn't work there anymore and we "couldn't" have stair runners with LVP anyway. No explanation for why no one reached out to us after Warren left or why we were sold stair runners and LVP if they weren't compatible (which isn't true). Finally had to go to corporate to get someone to take this seriously. Now all of a sudden we *can* have stair runners but someone has to come measure, order them, then schedule a separate installation. No apology, no explanation for what happened or who dropped the ball. I would never work with this company again and we are still trying to unravel what happened with our installation. No accountability, no apology, just Mike offering lame excuses about how he, the director of operations, has no idea what's going on.

The customer service when communicating with the owner was exemplary- the response time was quick and the questions were answered. The cleaning itself was exceptional. The time and attention to detail were impressive. My parents were visiting at the time of the cleaning, my mother asked if they could come to Richmond because she had never seen a crew do such a great job. A crew of two arrived at the appointed time. When my husband made the appointment, he specified a 'move out' cleaning, and I personally stressed to the crew the windows, baseboards needed extra attention. I took for granted that when they arrived, they would know what they were supposed to clean, but in actuality, they diid not. It seemed they did a cursory wipe down of surfaces, most cabinets, and then mopped the bedroom and living room floors. The blinds were cleaned, but not all the windows. We still found dirty/dusty areas in the bathrooms and closets, and certaIn cabinet doors weren't even touched. They also didn't touch the kitchen floor, the stove, or the fridge. My husband reached out to the owner, Phil H via email, regarding the lack of attention to detail. Phil thanked my husband for emailing and not leaving a bad review, and assured my husband the work done by the team would be of no charge to us. BUT, we were still charged $351 - without any warning or further discussion with Phil. Another email was sent to Phil inquiring about this charge. Phil stated that the charge is just based on hours worked and the charge would have been higher had the crew stayed longer and been more attentive to the cleaning. Since the team was not attentive, we will be given a $25 credit. **If anyone requires the emails for proof, I'll gladly post them on Yelp.
