Probably the worst and most difficult Ram dealership I have ever dealt with. Purchased a vehicle with them 3 years ago and purchased an extended warranty through them. My first repair I took my vehicle to a closer location on Broadway, 5 min from my house, to have work done. Since it was within their "40 mile range" they required a release to have the Broadway shop work on the vehicle. They did this no questions asked the first time but just this week I had brought my vehicle back into the same shop for another repair, when I called to have them release the vehicle they refused. "Per the contract". They were difficult, stand-offish, and rude. Mind you I live 55 miles away. The shop I took it to is over the 40 mile range (when driving) however they measure this off of strait line distance. We are talking a tenth of a mile before it was 40 miles. They still refused to release the vehicle. The fact they did this the first time without any issues then turn around the second time and refuse to release it is so backwards. I will be exploring other warranty options and will NEVER buy a vehicle for them again. Should have know as their overall rating is 1.9. What a joke. read more

I purchased a $40K used Sprinter van last week, paid them $300 to deliver it 100 miles away, they rushed me into signing the paperwork without showing me how anything worked, or allowing me to fully inspect it, they did not disclose until after I signed all paperwork or before delivery they only had one key fob which is critically important to have 2 since it starts the engine and if it gets lost or broken, you can get stuck having to have it towed into a Sprinter dealership. The only way to get another one is for me to drive 120 miles to the Littleton Mercedes dealership, and I was quoted over $500 cost. Then they misrepresented the tires in their website listing, showing they were Michelins then when it arrived, it had one cheap Chinese Linglong tire on the back passenger side with completely different tread, which is a safety issue; the back tires should match. To top it off, they claimed an oil/filter change had been done, but provided no evidence of it. When I called numerous times about these issues, I was treated very rudely, Chris and Tyler the manager, screaming at me, demeaning me, Tyler telling me I should have "asked" if there was a second key, that they did not have to disclose it. I am a 70 year old woman who has owned many vehicles commercially and personally, and have NEVER been treated so disrespectfully and rudely in any of my car buying throughout my life. They owe me not only a sincere apology, but compensation for my having to purchase a new Michelin that matches, and a new key fob, plus my time involved in resolving these issues. I had planned to leave on Monday to drive it to Florida, but do not trust it now with only one key; I could get stuck. Shame on them for treating their customers this way! Disgraceful! read more

We bought a used Charger. Decided to buy the warranty. Should've know better. Car has been completely unreliable and in their shop. They cannot, will not find the issue. Won't use the warranty until they find the problem, but won't look for the problem...it's a joke. Left without a car while waiting for them to work on it, which never happened. Really do not want to trade in the car, however not sure what to do at this point as it needs a mechanic. Very frustrating and disappointing to buy a car and warranty through a dealership to not be taken care of. read more

My eco diesel Ram 1500, under extended warranty, went into limp mode as I was on my way to the airport, so I had the vehicle towed to Boulder Dodge Ram. The following morning I told the service manager, Jeff, that I suspected that the problem was related to not resetting the "Change oil" message the last time I changed my oil (I didn't remove the message following an oil change and the message came up just before the vehicle cut out). Four days later, I stopped in to the service center. Jeff informed me that the oil indicator was not the problem - that my truck would require a new egr cooler, new glow plug, injector service, oil change and air filter - some parts that could take up to six weeks to procure and non - warranty services that would cost me over $1,600. I responded that I didn't authorize any work outside of what is covered by warranty or recall. Finally, after a week and multiple attempts to contact Jeff, I received a reply: Boulder Dodge will not perform the warranty repairs and safety recalls unless I purchase all of the other "repairs" from them, some of which they had already undertaken (against my explicit wishes). Furthermore, Jeff requested that I simply pay the $485 bill for this illicit work and have my vehicle towed to another Ram service center For the necessary repairs and remaining recalls. Having spoken with the manager, Tyler Grubich, that I was told I cannot pick up my broken vehicle until I paid for services that I specifically rejected, he agreed to remove one of the charges ($250 for the replacement of a $17 fuel filter - the remaining billable was for diagnostic services) providing that I delete my one-star review of Boulder Dodge. (I declined and paid full price to protect others from making the same mistake I made ). Conclusion: Having towed my vehicle to another service center, they simply deleted the oil service error, and my truck was back in service within an hour, running beautifully. Overall, my vehicle was with Boulder Doge for 10 days. I have never experienced something like this in my life.. Boulder's a small town and I am a well-connected Boulder business owner. You can bet I will be telling this story to everyone who will listen. read more

I normally take my Promaster in for oil changes here but I had an issue with my heater come up. They took the appointment quickly but after I dropped it off, I didn't hear back for 2 days. Then the price I was quoted was almost twice as much as I ended up finding at a dealer elsewhere. Just an overall unprofessional and predatory place. read more

These guys are criminals. I busted my oil pan on a rock in a National Forrest so i took my van to them and they quoted me a little over $2k. I told them to complete the repair and when I went to pick my van up they tried to charge me over $6k! Yes they literally misquoted me by over $3k and made me split the difference with them and then acted like they did me a favor. I've taken my van back to them twice since then to get my radiator fixed for free because it was under warranty. During those two visits they kept my van for an extra day after they completed the repairs, so that they could find extra things to charge me for. I have reason to suspect that they sabotaged my engine cooling system causing constant leaks that were never an issue before coming to them. The last time I went there they tried to charge me over $400 to replace my battery and tried to hold my van for an extra day when the repairs were already done. I demanded that they return my van and they did. I started my van right up in sub freezing temps on a battery they said was dead and have not had a problem with that battery since then. I thought I was back in a dealership buying a car in the 70's. Four levels of salesmen until they got to what they called "the big boss." At least they didn't try to sell me undercoating! I've bought dozens of cars in my life and have never encountered a situation where a car couldn't be held with a sizeable deposit for a few days when paying cash. Full cash payment by the next day? Seriously? They're that strapped for cash? I'd say they were a bunch of used car salesmen, but that would be an insult to most used car salesmen. I walked away. read more

The front license plate holder was not put on the truck but just stuffed in a storage bin with a hole torn in the bag it was in and screws removed from the bag. Wow, this place is sad. I like how they haven't even bothered to claim their business on Yelp. I really like the looks and drive of the Chrysler 300, but literally walked out of this dealership three years ago because the salesperson was so obnoxious. (I ended up purchasing a Cadillac SRX, so I was a serious about a car.) I still see the Chrysler 300 on the road and love how it looks, so I thought I'd give them another chance. I show up (at 4:30 on a Tuesday, by the way. Not exactly peak time). I wait almost 10 minutes. Sales manager appears. Introduces himself. Tells me he'll get a sales guy ("how about you?" I wonder). Five more minutes. Sales guy appears. Tell him I want to drive a 300. "Great, let me show you one." A few more minutes, he arrives with key. We walk across the parking lot. Car won't open. Says it must be the wrong key. We walk back. A few more minutes. Another key. We walk back out. He opens the car manually. I sit in it. I look at him, "can I drive it? That's what I came here to do." Sure, let's go back in and get something. 30 minutes in. Lots of waiting and being offered water. Two strolls across the parking lot. NOW I get the confession -- he didn't have the wrong key, the car won't start. I ask if there's another one. No. So, now I've been there 30 minutes, I've been lied to twice and there's really no car to drive. I leave. Later this evening, I thought, maybe I'll call the sales manager. Well, that was another waste of my time. Never asked what happened. Never asked my name, just let me know I could come back and ask for him or his two buddies anytime on Monday. Hard pass. I was thinking I could try another dealer, but then I'd still need to come to this shit show for service, or drive to Denver. Sorry, Chrysler. I'll just drive something else. I'm actually surprised this place can afford the real estate they have on 28th in Boulder. Buying a car ALWAYS sucks. These guys take it to a whole level of suction. read more

Chrysler I took my van in to be diagnosed at the Chrysler service department in Boulder. I told Russ over the phone that I wanted the BCM checked and mentioned that I was also not getting any heat and wondered if that was related to the BCM. Russ said he would have a service tech check everything out and get back to me. When the vehicle was done, Michael called me from the service desk to tell me my vehicle is ready to be picked up and said that I had a blown fuse and a blocked heater core, that's why I was not getting heat. I asked him if it would be a problem if I drove it that way and he said it shouldn't be a problem... "but you just won't have heat." I picked up my van and the next time I drove it, alarms started going off and I immediately pulled off to the side of the road and shut off my van. I opened the hood when things cooled down, and I looked in the radiator to find out it was completely empty! So that was the source of my heating problem. Oddly, the tech didn't even think to look inside the radiator! As a result, I missed a very important doctor appointment that I could not reschedule (before I left town for two months) and I had to get a tow truck. I took it to a different mechanic and he said that I had a radiator leak and that it should've been easy to find by Chrysler. I called Michael at the Chrysler service desk to let them know that it turned out that my radiator had a leak and he said he would pass that information onto his service manager, Jeff and have him call me. Jeff never did call me back. I left messages every three or five days and still no calls from Jeff, the service manager. I finally caught him when he was in the office about three weeks later and told him the story about how his service tech missed a very obvious heating problem. He looked at the work order and said there was nothing on there about lack of heating, bringing into question the truth of my story. He also said he did speak to Michael and Michael confirmed that that the tech has said that about the heater core. However, Jeff still stuck by his story that since it wasn't written on the service order, they could not be held responsible for missing it. If Russ did not write down that I had a heating problem, that is not my fault. But Jeff went out of his way to put the blame at my feet, questioning whether or not the service tech actually knew to look (even though he knows they told me I had a blocked heating core). So in essence, Jeff just talked in circles. I would never, ever take a vehicle to this service department. I warn others to stay away. Jeff does not operate with integrity. read more

The Worst In a world full of unethical, dishonest car mechanics, these guys might be The Worst of all. Took my car there first thing in the morning to fix a minor leak. What was supposed to take a couple of hours took all day. The service manager did not follow up with me as he promised. When they finally finished it at the end of the day, the service manager told me that they had damaged an unrelated part while they were fixing the leak. He charged me for that part. He also charged me for an additive that I did not request or authorize. He also charged me almost double what he had quoted me on the phone. I was angry, but I was so disgusted that I just wanted to get out of there. The next day, my car wouldn't even move. Whatever extra stuff that had done to it had damaged it worse than it was before. I called Boulder Dodge in a rage, and they told me to "bring it back in and we'll fix it up." Well, by now, I had no faith or trust in them. The service manager had been so dishonest with me that I didn't want him to touch my car again. I had a bad feeling that if I brought it back in, he would say that I had to pay for a bunch of expensive extra stuff, all because of his crookedness. So after agonizing of this dilemma, I finally decided to take it somewhere else and have it fixed all over again. Boulder Dodge basically stole $700 from me. read more

We were traveling through Colorado when the brake warning light in our new Ram Promaster van illuminated. We called Boulder Chrysler Dodge Ram for guidance, not knowing if it was safe to drive the vehicle. The service department representative was able to quickly diagnose the problem, provided guidance, and provided instructions to safely get on the road. Next time we are in Boulder and need service with our RAM, I won't hesitate to bring our vehicle to this dealership. read more

I have worked with this dealer for 10 years, unfortunately. Since they are the dealer, I have to go to them for things like recalls. Every time I have to go to the Boulder Dodge/Ram dealer I leave frustrated. Service is highly over-priced. You can get the same service for 1/3 of the price - literally. They have even tried to charge me more for a service after we've already agreed upon a price. I had to take this all the way to the GM and it was finally corrected. I also took a truck in for appraisal and they offered 60% of the Kelly Blue Book price! Ridiculous. They have absolutely no regard for customer service. I thought I'd pass on my experiences with Boulder Chrysler Dodge Ram, as a cautionary tale to people considering dealing with them. I contacted them by email (I live outside Colorado) in October 2020 to inquire about a particular used car. A representative responded to indicate the car was available and that the price was $20,000. Over the next two days I exchanged several emails, text messages and telephone calls with salespeople at the dealership, mostly gathering further information about the car (it was a fairly new listing and photos were not yet up on the website). I told the salesperson that if he could provide me with evidence of a clean diagnostic scan, I would buy the car at the price quoted. After one more day, he did provide me this evidence, and I told him I would buy the car as discussed. This was three days after my initial contact and receipt of their price quote. When I told him that I would buy the car, he told me that the price had changed and was now $22,000. When I expressed my frustration with what I perceived to be a bait-and-switch tactic, he just told me that the "sales manager" had decided to increase the price and they would not honor their initial quote. The matter was not open to discussion. In my opinion, while I don't know if Boulder Chrysler Dodge Ram did anything technically "illegal," this incident certainly is reflective of questionable business practices, a lack of respect for customers and a willingness to abandon good-faith dealing for a few dollars more in profit. To say I was discouraged and frustrated by my dealings with Boulder Chrysler Dodge Ram would be an understatement. read more

Jermey Banned me from coming to Boulder Dodge or phoning because he could not explain why they had written that my brakes were metal to metal and they had not looked at them. I contacted the General Manager and he explained that Boulder Dodge Technicians are skilled and with years of experience can tell the pad and disk measurements without actually looking and quote a $1500 repair. I took the truck elsewhere and had it check and what Boulder Dodge had written was not true. Not a place to go for Honest work. read more

Called Jeff in the service department to see what could be done, and he offered to fix it for us at no charge. I will admit that when I called in I wasn't expecting to hear that. Bought an $85,000 Ram 3500 in December. The starter went out May 5th, (2,169 miles) dealership said I can't get a new starter until August due to factory in Mexico being closed due to covid. Had to trade in my truck for a new one because I needed it to pull a trailer for work. I had paid $2000 for an extended warranty that they won't refund. In Aug 2019 we purchased a 2018 Dodge Ram Power Wagon. From the moment we arrived until we walked out the door everyone was very professional and accommodating. We came in to to sign for the truck and everyone was so prepared they stood in line to get all the appropriate signatures, we were in and out of there in less than 30 minutes. Purchased a van from them & it ended up being a nightmare. Didn't care about what we were wanting & needing. Key fob didn't have a key. Stated multiple times that the title HAD to be delivered to the bank. They delivered it to us. After we told them multiple times , wrote down the address etc. very much a "hungry" dealership & not a caring one. They also promised they wouldn't do a credit check, (there was zero need to) but they did. Absolutely ridiculous. Update: My vehicle had a bad water pump & had head gaskets. The heat will not run. No trust whatsoever. It seems to me like they take advantage of customers who don't know any better. Service department quoted me about $550 to replace two headlights (just the bulbs!) and said if I did not get it done by Dodge that they would not work because of some kind of wiring mechanism and such. They also said they would have to take the front/side fender off just to access the driver side headlight. Guess what. Bought the same lightbulbs for $65 for the set online with a slightly different warranty plan but the EXACT same type of light. Yes, it was somewhat challenging removing the headlight bulbs being that it was my first time ever doing it. But, driver side replacement took about 20 minutes, passenger side replacement took about five minutes. Saved myself from a scam. read more

It's a shame that "0" isn't an option! I traded in a 2000 Xterra to these guys more than year ago. Instead of doing their jobs and getting the car's title changed into their possession, they went ahead and resold it ILLEGALLY under my name to another dealer. Worse yet, today when I called in to get more information about what happened I was transferred around to several different people and no one ever helped me! Had to waste my time at the clerk and recorder getting hundreds of dollars in parking tickets resolved since Boulder Chrystler Dodge Ram failed to do their job! I have never been so disappointed in a dealership; as someone who has worked on cars for the last twenty years, I would never recommend these guys. Let me start by saying that the manufacturer was required to warranty my driveline for 999,999 miles because they used inferior parts and got caught. That being said, the dealership is never happy to service my vehicle..... I brought my vehicle in last July due to overheating, $700 later the two thermostats had been replaced. Less than a month later, it started overheating again. The engine was replaced but the workmanship was terrible.....my window washer lines are broken and the hood barely opens because the radiator is binding the latch....neither of these items were problems prior to the engine work. when I told the service staff, they said it was my problem but I could pay for them to be fixed!!! DO NOT TRUST THE SERVICE STAFF, they only care about the money and the number of vehicles they can move thru the department. read more

Shady high pressure salesman. Was looking at Promaster vans and they were unwilling to even negotiate on price. When he refused, I asked for his business card and thanked him for his time. When I asked for his card he didn't have one, so we went to "go get one" and brought another guy in for some sort of strong man tactics and weird posturing which at that point I just left. It was really awkward and I felt uncomfortable, not relaxed. They were all about the shady used car salesman tactics that I though had gone away in the age of online car shopping. I've tried to give this service department multiple chances thinking it was last an unusually bad day. Twice when I have taken my Durango in for a tire sensor replacement, I called ahead so they could order the part, and both times they did not have the part and could not say why it didn't get order. I was there for a walk in oil change that took 2 hours and asked for water or water fountain and was told they didn't have any. Finally I took my car in for service at 8:00 am and never heard back from them. When I called at 1:30 they had not yet started on it. 8 hours later I pick up my vehicle that had an oil change and no tire sensor replacement. How do they stay in business??? read more

My history Boulder Dodge goes back many years. I have bought three vehicles off of their lot over the years when they were Valley Dodge before they moved to their current location. I think we all know that things are usually look a bit more expensive at dealerships and we have to be cautious, but I felt like I was always treated fairly. In the last couple of years of been purchasing oil change cards that are good for four changes and a service check. In the past, they've come up with a big, expensive list of things that needed work. I have have taken most recommendations to other places and found that I could get the work done cheaper are even that the work wasn't even needed. So still, I am going there for oil changes until recently. I went in and I had some noise in my front in suspension and I asked them to take a look at it. They could not do it at that time because of a shortage of personnel. They still change the oil and made a service check Two weeks later I had an appointment to check the suspension (I had previously taken it to another place and they said there's nothing wrong with the front in suspension), but I wanted to take it there to make sure. Once the Dodge guys got a hold of it again they came up with about $3600 project, even adding things onto the potential bill that were listed as okay two weeks before. They gave me a bill for looking for $140 which I paid. They had also added that I needed a brake job, which turned out to be not necessary, and they took that off of the $3600 quote because Jeremy realized that I had been in two weeks before and everything had been rated is okay. Sunday, one of my friends commented that if they don't give you a written signed form on what the price will or they are limited to $75 charge which I would have paid. When I went in there to complain about that they refunded my money and told not to come back again and lied about telling me that they had told me what the fee would be. That was an outright lie and was repeated over and over again. I the end when they tell me I would never come again, I didn't have to say that yes I agree, you didn't have to say that. I had taken the vehicle now to two other places that told me that there is nothing wrong with the front suspension and that could have the work done and although not necessary and there were no charges for the examinations. It might improve the sound quality of my suspension, but it would be less than half the price of a quoted. Boulder Dodge did return my$140, lied about what was said and offered. I have learned my lesson with Boulder Dodge. read more

Be Aware. Bought a 1999 Dodge Ram V10 from this dealership about a year ago. They are very dishonest. They said they do a safety inspection on used cars. That is a joke. I have called several times and told manager will call back and of course no call back. After getting the truck a week later I noticed every time I started it and put in gear something would beep four times and then stop. So I looked in to what was beeping. 1. Found abs warning light in gauge console was removed. Put in new light and plastic bulb holder from a junk yard. Yep that was the issue. Light of at ignition - put in gear and it would beep and light now on. 2. Took it in to have code read. Bad abs module. Guess what - module has been discontinued - No Longer Available. Truck can NOT BE REPAIRED. 3. Fuel Pump also when out in the first week. So I bought an unsafe non repairable Truck for $10k. Yep they got me good and laughed all the way to the bank I'm sure. Decided to post a review because I interviewed one of their former employees for a position at my place of employment. I told her about what had happened because she listed them as previous employment. She said that is why she left it was a common business practice for them. read more

This is my second bad review for this dealership. Normally, once would be enough, but my extended warranty is forcing me to return to this dealership for service. I took my vehicle in to find out about possibly getting some warranty work done, and as it turned out it none of my issues were covered. I was waiting for my vehicle to be pulled off the lift so I could leave, when a service associate that I had been working with approached with another man, who introduced himself as the General Manager of the store. He asked me to come to his office, so we could see if he could possibly help with the warranty company. We went into his office, where he pulled up my previous 1 star review on Google. This review was written when I had initially purchased the car less than a year ago, detailing that once I took the car off the lot, I had discovered that things they had told me had been checked, and were in good working order, we're, in fact not. For example the brakes (a major safety issue, and should have been part of the dealerships safety checks), the brakes were so bad they had gouged the rotors, and I had to replace them all ASAP. The GM told me my previous review was untrue and slander. I replied that it was correct, and pointed out and I had receipts for the work performed in my car and would go get them and he could see for himself. He told me he wasn't interested because he already knew the truth and due to my review he was unwilling to help me any further. He then escorted me out to my car and told me to leave. I don't see the point in this terrible display of professionalism and customer service. He could have used this as an opportunity to win me over- I see your last visit wasn't great let's see if we can change your mind this time... Nope because that requires caring about your customers and clearly this G.M doesn't. I am now currently trying to cancel my extended warranty so that I never have to deal with this dealership again. read more

I purchased a truck and traded in a car I owned outright. They agreed to pay me $36,000 for my car and I wanted to take $10,000 of that and use it as down payment and the remaining $26,000 back in cash to me. A few days after I got the truck home I discovered they had mistaken left a "dealers plate" under the rear seats and called them to let them know. They didn't even notice it was missing at the time, but thanked me for letting them know and asked I send it back. I did send it back out of courtesy and at my own expense, they didn't even offer me to use their fedex account or anything. So a few weeks pass by and I hear nothing from them and still haven't got my check for $26,000 they said would be issued and sent to me. So I called and the person I spoke to didn't know anything about it and took my info down to have someone call me back. Tyler, who claimed to be the owner, called me back stating that they didn't get their plate back and thus were not going to be issuing me the $26,000 they owe me (as stated on our contract) until I get them the plate back. They have not contacted me AT ALL during the past several weeks about their plate...I had forgot about it even. It was only once I called and wanted my money they turned this missing dealer plate into an issue at all. I don't have the plate or a receipt for the shipping from several weeks ago, maybe if they had called during the 20 days since I bought the car we could have found it! read more

Save yourself time and go to Repair Auto Masters on Pearl Street. This service centers scheduling model is "we'll get to it when we can get to it". Where do I start........... ok first of all, my lease is up on my 2018 Ram so I went back to my original dealer first and they were out of stock on the truck I want. I started looking online and found the exact truck im after at this Boulder dealership. I called my other dealership and asked if they can get it?? I was told no, Boulder Chrysler Dodge Boulder is kind of know for not cooperating with other dealers. Ok, no biggie? I called Tyler at the Boulder dealership and told him the scenario, he didn't even let me finish what I was asking saying "we don't do dealer trades" I explained that I'm not looking to deal with my original dealer?? I'll come buy it from you if it's available and I told him details on my trade in. He said "let me see if it's available and I'll call you right back". He never called. I called him back the next day he said "yes it's available" I said perfect let me send you my quote I got from the other dealership so you can see what I'm looking for price range wise. All week and he never got back to me! I called a 3rd time asking for a manager and explained the situation...... he said he apologizes for Tyler not getting back to me and he will get with Tyler, find out what's going on and call me by tomorrow for sure. Guess what???? Nobody has called!!!! I feel like I'm being discriminated against because I was looking at another dealership first!!!!! The absolute worst customer service!!!! At beginning of a road trip with our pro master camper van, we noticed that our heater wasn't working - stopped in to the dealership and the service dept was able to fit us in and found that it was just a stuck actuator (not sure of spelling) -they unstuck it and we were on the road -no charge for the service even though they had to spend atleast an hour pulling out the radio to get to the heater -awesome! read more

I have purchased two vehicles from these guys over the years and both times had great service. I would like to call out the guys in the service center also. They are always extremely courteous when I drop off a vehicle for any service. Andrew especially is extremely efficient and takes the time to remember who I am and my cars. Brought Jeep in for Recalls - they came back with $1124.20 suggested repairs that had nothing to do with the ignition or computer / Further - they noted a "leak" in my font diff - within one week it was completely dry - and it appeared someone had hit a curb with it and it was cracked. I drive less than 10k miles per year as I work from home - it's parked in my garage 99% of the time. VERY VERY shady and I will be notifying the GM of this crap !! Update - Contacted this Tyler Grubich GM - gave me every reason why he believed there is no wrong doing at his flagship because they've been there for 20 years - even said let me interrupt you - really ? Further - began talking over me. I simply said have a nice day and terminated the call. Yeah - That's what I expected ! DON'T GO HERE for service - I can't speak on Sales. read more
