On our first evening in Kelowna for Labour Day long weekend (Saturday), we decided to have dinner at Bouchons Bistro. It was a beautiful evening and we sat on the patio! We ordered a bunch of appetizers to share and each of us got our own entrees. For appies, we ordered: Gratinée Lyonnaise (French Onion soup), Les Huitres (oysters), Salade d'Endives au Bleu (Belgian endive salad with apples, walnuts, and French blue cheese), Les Escargots de Bourgogne (Burgundy snails), Foie Gras de Canard, and Le Steak Tartar. For entrees, we ordered: Halibut (fish of the day), Filet Mignon grillé, Terre & Mer (Surf and Turf with Prawns and Scallops), Le Carré d'Agneau (rack of Lamb), Le Cassoulet (Duck Confit Leg), and Spaghetti à la Sauce aux Truffles. We ordered so many appies that most of us were full by the time our entrees came, so a lot of us ended up packing most of it to-go (excluding me, cause devoured my Halibut). We also ordered two sides of French Fries (not pictured) but majority of them were burnt (I still ate them though, lol).. but aside from that, overall it was a delicious meal.

Had an amazing time dining here at Bouchons. The food is unreal, the escargot and the rack of lamb is amazing. Definitely worth checking out. The service was great too, Joffrey was amazing. Will definitely be back again!

Dinner for 2 on a recent Friday night on the patio at this French bistro in downtown Kelowna was pleasant. Warmly greeted and seated immediately, our server Mathieu recited the off menus specials (2 apps, 2 mains) and came back with water (sparkling $9!) and TAP ($0) & some freshly baked baguette and butter. We shared 2 apps: gravlax, blinis with cream cheese - very generous portion of silky smooth melt in your mouth salmon with a smooth creamy chive cheese with 3 small blinis was enjoyable, only missing the caviar! The endive walnut apple blue cheese combined very well for a tasty salad. Bouillabaisse was choc full of perfectly cooked halibut, shrimp, mussels and scallops in a very rich, tasty broth, but the rouille was not the rich thick paste I am accustomed to. Halibut (off menu special) seasoned, cooked perfectly sitting in a white sauce with accompanying veggies was awesome. There was a nice selection of wine by the glass and my friend enjoyed her pinot gris and I loved the Chardonnay Mathieu recommended. A wonderful dinner with my best friend in downtown Kelowna - doesn't get much better!

Noodle inside taste uncool and beef need some soy sauce to bring out the taste I m not sure?

Had their "Dine around Okanagan" 3-course special which was delicious. No wonder they were busy. Apricot pâté with mustard was fresh and vibrant, and a good flavor combination. Salmon with grapefruit butter sauce was rich and rewarding, with a nice array of vegetables. I tried a mouthful of the pork tenderloin with mushroom and parsnip, and every flavor was rich and hearty and all flavors worked together well. The floating island dessert with meringue over custard was light and tasty. The cape gooseberry on the side was a nice unusual touch. Service was remarkably good, eager, helpful, and not intrusive. A really nice night out.

We were in the Okanogan Valley in the town of Kelowna, BC Canada for about four days. This little spot is a real jem. Old-school French bistro menu. Great price fare menu which we indulged in. Reasonably priced of course the American dollar is stronger than the Canadian dollar so it was really a bargain. It's kind of off the beaten path which is good because the other side of town is sort of a mob scene of tourists, bars, shops etc. This is in a real quiet area right off of the lake. Service was terrific. The atmosphere was wonderful. You can sit outside if you want, they have heaters. We enjoyed the inside ambience. I would suggest anyone that likes French food to come here. I don't think there's another place in the valley or around the lake with this type of cuisine. We loved it and highly recommend it.

Amazing!! Had a wonderful experience and the food was fantastic!! Couldn't have asked for a better place, the waitress was very knowledgeable and great at her job. The price was fair, food was delicious and decor was beautiful!! Very high end and relaxing.

A town favourite judging by the filled tables in this quiet part of Kelowna. The staff were friendly and the owner even swung by to make sure all was well. Menu offered standard French fare presented nicely and with fresh ingredients. I thought it all tasted quite good but wasn't terribly memorable the next day. The restaurant gets busy and is a bit loud. The interior is an interesting mix of extremely casual with elements of fine dining. Overall, it's a very casual place.

Good - not great. But the profiteroles are the bomb. The chocolate sauce was to die for.

Our servers on both occasions were highlights, attentive yet also leaving us be. Last night it was just K and I and the previous visit there were five of us outside on the patio. The space is nicely decorated but has no real charm or ambiance, which is understandable in a big hotel. The menu is extensive enough that you should be able to find something to meet the needs of your palate while here, but there are many choices within walking distance that may be a better choice of you are looking for a specific culinary experience. If you don't want to leave the hotel, you shouldn't be disappointed with your choice. Our food while not amazing during each visit was solid, and well presented. It might be a little on the higher end cost wise, but what isn't these days. You walk in and it's always bumping and bartender is always making funky and cool drinks and everyone's always having a great time. Lots of conversation between friends or even between strangers at the bar. Service was always great. I've always appreciated their evolution of their dishes and it was never boring to come back again and again. We booked a Happy Hour reservation for the long Sunday Easter long weekend at 4:30pm and we were the first to arrive. As Salt & Brick has an evolving fresh sheet menu, you never know what's on the menu but they usually have a few staples like their Brussel sprouts. As this was my boyfriend's first time here, we ordered the Brussell sprouts with popcorn and the Rigatoni. We were given the regular menu but did inquire about Happy Hour and the Brussel sprouts, pastas, and charcuterie board were on special. Unfortunately, they didn't have any oysters available that day. Small cozy atmosphere with a cute front porch. It's a small bar and kitchen that you can see and wonderful that you see and hear all the food being freshly made to order. Our server was friendly, chatty, and attentive but also gave us our space too. The Brussel sprouts served with cheddar popcorn, grapes, and ripped beer cheese is a bit salty, sweet, and so satisfying! My partner doesn't love Brussel sprouts but really enjoyed this dish. The Rigatoni was a bit rich with a nettle became sauce but served with the earthy lily spears, it was a well rounded dish altogether that we also enjoyed. Cute restaurant on the Downtown main strip that isn't a major chain, which is refreshing. Will continue to visit next time in town and hopefully they will have oysters then!

Similar but different, it promises a premium steakhouse experience, which it, for the most part, delivered. The building itself is cool, with plenty of parking across the street, or on the street. It's dark inside like a steakhouse should be. Timbers on the ceiling, good sized booths not to close together. The service was excellent as would be expected given the prices. The table side Caesar salad was very tasty, and well presented. Our waiter was top notch, and the maître de came around and showed us the cuts of steak while explaining how they should be cooked. The sides were very good, served family style. The mashed potatoes were top quality, and the fries (we had a young person with us) great as well. The steaks were all excellent, except my tenderloin, that looked unlike any tenderloin that I have ever been served. It had a fair amount of fat, which I've not seen before and was hanging out one side (see photos). The "choose your weapon" was a nice touch, I'll let you experience that for yourselves. We all had a dessert which were great, other than my sorbet that had quite a few icy bits and chunks on it, which should not be there. Overall almost perfect, as it should be given the bill, but that $60 steak should have been fed to the staff. Would we go again, probably.
