Place of business, simple and straight forward. Wine tastings and product purchase available. Certified Organic wines.

I got lost and found this simple winery with no touristy flash. Just a plain and unassuming building, housing a work area, storage ,tasting room and shelving holding their current selections of wines they have for sale. They have about 10 varieties available. They are also Certified Organic. I forgot to take pictures of their other wines but believe me they tasted very good. The staff were very friendly and professional. Tasting of different selections were free if you purchase I had trouble selecting what I tasted as they were all well balanced. Also my wife was with me and I had a budget . I chose the Fort , their version of a port wine and another red wine that contained no tannins that would give me a headache. Next time you are in West Kelowna, drop in and try it for yourself. I am glad I did.

What's this about walking through a little mud to the wine shop located in a metal barn? Yup, all you la-di-da types need not apply. Thanks to the wonders of google maps, this was our last winery visit before heading back. Turning off onto a dirt road, we weren't sure what to expect. We pulled up to this metal barn to a couple of guys busily operating misc wine-making equipment. With a kind shout welcome from the red head and bearded employee, we entered this magical barn. It was pretty cool to see the presser in action, spitting out all the seeds (I think). The barn contained everything. Barrels, stainless steel tanks and the sorts. Anyhow, we got right down to the tasting. Again, being a small (2 man operation), we were treated to a good laugh-filled service. They have several certified organic wines and everything tasted great. Gotta love wine tasting at 11am. My highlight of course, their ice wines. We sampled their Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, and the very unique Portage ice wines. The last being titillating spectacular. Yes I use that word too much. Internationally, this small winery has done damn well, with their 2006 Pinot Gris ice wine scored a perfect 100points in the World championships in Spain. Best put in the red head's words "not bad for a couple of hicks from the boonies". Beating out the mighty French is quite the achievement. And who said gingers don't have souls.

Good wine, great service, so so tasting room. Picnic tables and plastic cups don't enhance the quality of the wine.

We had a sample of their Ice Wine, and I do not like sweet wine, but was pleasantly surprised to have enjoyed them.

If you love dry wines, this is definitely the place for you! The sales associate/pourer had a great sense of humor and shared a wealth of knowledge about the wines, covering everything from geography and history to food pairings and even wine trends. He truly knows his stuff and represents the winery well. Everything I tried was on the drier side. While I typically don't prefer dry wines, I still found them enjoyable. Beyond the wine, the winery itself is a stunning architectural gem. The building's unique design, with its aged and seemingly "falling" pieces, gives it the feel of a hidden kingdom or lost city. Inside, the dark walls contrast beautifully with a red-and-gold ceiling, reflecting the intricate bottle designs they've created. A breathtaking 17-foot-high ceiling features a striking piece of artwork, making the whole atmosphere feel so French. I originally stopped by as part of my wine-tasting journey and wasn't planning to try anything here due to a long day. But I decided to go for it, and I'm so glad I did--definitely no regrets! At first, I had a private VIP tasting, but soon after, a wine tour group arrived, making the experience even livelier as I got to drink with new friends. This winery is a must-visit for tour groups, but if you want a more relaxed experience, walk-ins are welcome. However, reservations are recommended during the summer season.

Wine tastings are complimentary but they limit you to four pours per person. Bottles are in the $15.90 to 43.39 range. We were a large group so we split our group in half. We were four so should have had 16 total tastings to try. Instead, the pourer only let us try 13 out of 14 on the list. Super lame that we didn't get to try the 2014 Eruption. Interestingly, the other half of our group got to try 6 samples each. So I have no idea what was the issue with that guy. Whites - 2016 Bubbly gewurztraminer - 2017 Rose - 2016 Magma white - 2016 Viognier - 2013 Reserve chardonnay - 2016 Lava white blend - this was the only white I liked. A blend of 6 different whites. Reds - 2015 Pinot noir - 2013 Merlot - 2014 Syrah - 2015 Magma red - the only red that was decent. Another blend of 5 reds. Icewines - 2016 Gewurztraminer late harvest - this was incredibly sweet. - 2015 Pinot noir icewine - not sure how but it was even more sweet than the gewurztraminer. - 2014 Riesling icewine - only icewine that was balanced. Wasn't impressed much with the wines or the service here.
