THE BIG: Located in West Kelowna, literally down the hill from mission hill. Plenty of parking. Beautiful beachfront lakeside views with restaurant onsite, Annie's Beach Cafe. THE BLACK AND WHITE: The wife and I came here excited to try the wines because the owner of the winery sold his dating startup (plenty o' fish) to start this winery. However we ended up somewhat disappointed. All of their wines were very mid and had very muted notes for the whites and jammy notes for the reds. The price per pour is great, 5 pours for a tasting. The only wine I remember that was somewhat decent was their merlot. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Tastings here are $10 CAD. Not my favorite wine tasting but definitely worth a visit if you're looking for an affordable wine tasting and great lakeside views.

Although the word "winery" has a pretentious connotation to it (especially in Kelowna), this place is far from that. They are super friendly and welcoming. They have a huge pizza oven (wood-fired, I believe?) that makes some of the best pizza I've had! My girl friend and I ended up splitting a pizza and charcuterie board, which was more than enough food. They also have a super cute cafe that serves HUGE cinnamon buns! They are also the only winery in Kelowna with their own boat access and beach front

Located on the lake and has a great patio for wine tasting and dining. They offer two ways to dine...order pizzas and find your own seating, or order from a menu from a server. The pizzas are the highlight, and they have appetizers, bowls with olives and mixed veggies that can be topped with salmon or other protein. There's outdoor seating big red was my favorite wine from the tasting. They had an artist playing a guitar and singing the night we were there. I really liked the casual vibe.

Last year, I accidentally discovered this winery and was amazed by it, as I had never seen a winery with a beach or beach view before. The view from the winery is one of the best I've encountered. While I only visited last year, this year we sat at a patio table and tried the lunch menu. We ordered the Vegetalian Pizza to share, paired with Riesling wine. I really enjoyed the ingredients on the pizza--artichoke, tomato jam, balsamic vinegar, and mozzarella cheese. They complemented each other perfectly, and the Riesling was just right for this pizza. The wine enhanced the sweetness and made the meal even more delicious. After lunch, I visited the beach café and picked up baked goods, including a bruschetta croissant and a jalapeno scone. The croissant had a crispy, nicely moist dough, while the scone had a strong flavor with a crispy outside and moist inside. Their baked goods were actually better than those from other local bakeries. I really love the ambiance of this winery, especially with its beach view, outdoor patio, and sophisticated tasting area. I will definitely be back again!

Where to begin? The lakeside beach view... the live music... the great varied menu... the friendly service... the glass of NV Brut... the Salmon Bowl with warm salmon and beautifully dressed grains and pickled zucchini. I have a long list of wineries to check out, but in between will be many return visits.

Last time we were in town, we'd tried to go to Frind Estate Winery but it was packed and the wait time was ridiculous. If you didn't know, the owner started up this winery after selling off Plenty of Fish. Tasting fee is $10.00/person (for 5 pours) but the fee is waived with a purchase of a bottle. Our pourer was friendly but didn't like how she tried multiple times to push the wine club on us and didn't state how much their tasting fee was upfront. They also don't have it anywhere on their tasting sheet. - 2019 Big white - 2021 Viognier - 2021 Rosé - easy summer sipper. Light with mostly strawberry notes. We bought a bottle ($19.99) for home. - 2020 Premier cabernet franc - 2020 Midnight - this was their most interesting wine (marechal foch). Hint of coffee and cocoa notes came through. Sweet, beach side views at Frind but unspectacular wines.

Beautiful winery with a nice restaurant on the patio and picnic tables next to the lake for folks doing tastings or getting takeout from the restaurant. I made a wine tasting reservation for the two of us at 6 pm on a Sunday, but they let us do the tasting when we arrived early at 5:30. We both did the tasting, which includes 5 wines each. They had 10 wines available to taste, so that worked out perfectly and we tried one of each. The tasting costs $10/person but the fee is waived with the purchase of a bottle. We ended up buying a bottle of the Baronesse and the Premier Red to support the winery, but to be honest neither of us particularly liked any of the wines we tried. As we were chatting with our sommelier during the tasting, we learned that this winery is relatively new and only started operations 2 years ago or so, so the wines we were trying were produced by other wineries and white labeled under the Frind Estate label, or something along those lines. We also tried to get a table at the restaurant but no luck. Put our name down when we arrived at 5:30 and an hour later (at 6:30) they still didn't have any openings... We primarily picked this winery because there was a beach restaurant here as well, so we were quite disappointed we weren't able to dine here.

Enjoying our Cinnamon bun and charcuterie set after our wine tasting. There's picnic tables right outside of the winery on the beach front!

Cool new winery with nice views and a beach front where the kids can swim & play and padddle boarders can come straight in! The bakery next door is a nice touch too, I definitely got their cinnamon bun and it hit the spot with the wine tasting we got

Love this new Winery! Very new and beautiful property. Service was great and it's located next to the beach so you can take a walk around as well. They also have a restaurant inside the winery but we didn't try. The wine was great and we bought a couple of bottles home.

Great wines. Great price point. Lovely area on the beach to have a picnic and sip a glass of wine. I would definitely go back and try the restaurant.

Stunning office space, with Bennett memorabilia.

The service and two ladies at the front were awful. So many better options in the area. One could say they are not my "frind"

If you love dry wines, this is definitely the place for you! The sales associate/pourer had a great sense of humor and shared a wealth of knowledge about the wines, covering everything from geography and history to food pairings and even wine trends. He truly knows his stuff and represents the winery well. Everything I tried was on the drier side. While I typically don't prefer dry wines, I still found them enjoyable. Beyond the wine, the winery itself is a stunning architectural gem. The building's unique design, with its aged and seemingly "falling" pieces, gives it the feel of a hidden kingdom or lost city. Inside, the dark walls contrast beautifully with a red-and-gold ceiling, reflecting the intricate bottle designs they've created. A breathtaking 17-foot-high ceiling features a striking piece of artwork, making the whole atmosphere feel so French. I originally stopped by as part of my wine-tasting journey and wasn't planning to try anything here due to a long day. But I decided to go for it, and I'm so glad I did--definitely no regrets! At first, I had a private VIP tasting, but soon after, a wine tour group arrived, making the experience even livelier as I got to drink with new friends. This winery is a must-visit for tour groups, but if you want a more relaxed experience, walk-ins are welcome. However, reservations are recommended during the summer season.

Wine tastings are complimentary but they limit you to four pours per person. Bottles are in the $15.90 to 43.39 range. We were a large group so we split our group in half. We were four so should have had 16 total tastings to try. Instead, the pourer only let us try 13 out of 14 on the list. Super lame that we didn't get to try the 2014 Eruption. Interestingly, the other half of our group got to try 6 samples each. So I have no idea what was the issue with that guy. Icewines - 2016 Gewurztraminer late harvest - this was incredibly sweet. - 2015 Pinot noir icewine - not sure how but it was even more sweet than the gewurztraminer. - 2014 Riesling icewine - only icewine that was balanced.
