Came for a wine tasting yesterday (June 27). We first tried to go to Mission Hill Winery nearby but was turned away since we didn't have a reservation, so we headed to The Hatch. The folks there were much more warm and welcoming, and we were given the option to either stand and do a tasting or wait a few minutes for a table to open up. We opted to wait for a table, and were seated within a couple of minutes. All seating is outdoors here, though unfortunately there are no lake views. The tasting is $5 per person (waived if you buy a bottle) and includes 4 wines which range from a bubbly to white to red. I appreciated the variety! In this pandemic era, the wines are pre-poured in plastic cups and brought to your table, where the server goes over each wine and answers any questions you may have. Of the four, I enjoyed the 2019 Winemaker's Wench the most, and bought a bottle of that to go. My main complain was that because it was quite windy, dust would periodically blow over from the parking lot to the tasting area. Definitely saw some in our cups...

My mom and I decided to drop into the Hatch in between wineries and WOW, we are so glad we did. We both did wine tastings and our server was incredible. We bought some bottles of wines and I bought a funky candle. The server was incredibly knowledgeable and told us a lot about the history of the winery and the artwork around the grounds. When we return to Kelowna, we'll definitely be going back!

What a cool, anti-wine-stablishment vibe! This is truly an artist inspired place with a fresh young staff and wines I've never had before. Definitely put this on your must stops in Okanagan especially if you're open to something hip and new. But if you're expecting a typical, stuffy wine tasting experience, maybe not the place for you. ‍

Best wines ever, friendly staff. Kathy was amazing. Wanted to buy more wines from this place

    Fun farm theme winery.

This is indeed a cute winery with lots of little touches that lend to the farm theme. The service was friendly, but because it was busy we didn't get a lot of information during the tasting. The wines themselves didn't blow us away. They felt a bit young to our palates; I thought they could benefit from a little refinement. Or maybe, this what they're going for... it does fit the rustic theme. It's definitely a fun and unique spot amidst the more traditional wineries nearby.

This was by far our favourite winery we visited on our trip to the Okanagan Valley. At first we didn't know if we walked into the right place but we loved every moment! What a different weird but cool vibe here, sooo different from all the other wineries we visited! Grayson explained the different wines, where the grapes are grown, the stories behind the wine and of course do the tasting. We were blown away with how much we liked almost all the wines we tried. The Pinot Gris and Smoke Show were standout. We brought a whole bunch of wine back to Seattle with us and will savour them until our next trip back.

    Such a cool little winery

Each of the five samples were tasty. $5 tasting fee waived if you buy a bottle of course. And of course I did! Best winery of the day!

If you love dry wines, this is definitely the place for you! The sales associate/pourer had a great sense of humor and shared a wealth of knowledge about the wines, covering everything from geography and history to food pairings and even wine trends. He truly knows his stuff and represents the winery well. Everything I tried was on the drier side. While I typically don't prefer dry wines, I still found them enjoyable. Beyond the wine, the winery itself is a stunning architectural gem. The building's unique design, with its aged and seemingly "falling" pieces, gives it the feel of a hidden kingdom or lost city. Inside, the dark walls contrast beautifully with a red-and-gold ceiling, reflecting the intricate bottle designs they've created. A breathtaking 17-foot-high ceiling features a striking piece of artwork, making the whole atmosphere feel so French. I originally stopped by as part of my wine-tasting journey and wasn't planning to try anything here due to a long day. But I decided to go for it, and I'm so glad I did--definitely no regrets! At first, I had a private VIP tasting, but soon after, a wine tour group arrived, making the experience even livelier as I got to drink with new friends. This winery is a must-visit for tour groups, but if you want a more relaxed experience, walk-ins are welcome. However, reservations are recommended during the summer season.

Wine tastings are complimentary but they limit you to four pours per person. Bottles are in the $15.90 to 43.39 range. We were a large group so we split our group in half. We were four so should have had 16 total tastings to try. Instead, the pourer only let us try 13 out of 14 on the list. Super lame that we didn't get to try the 2014 Eruption. Interestingly, the other half of our group got to try 6 samples each. So I have no idea what was the issue with that guy. Icewines - 2016 Gewurztraminer late harvest - this was incredibly sweet. - 2015 Pinot noir icewine - not sure how but it was even more sweet than the gewurztraminer. - 2014 Riesling icewine - only icewine that was balanced. Wasn't impressed much with the wines or the service here.
