Wow gorgeous place and fantastic dining atmosphere. Service is fantastic and I do recommend making a reservation in advance if you can. They take walk in too but you never know how busy it might be. We came as a group of 6 and everyone loved what they ordered. I went for a vegetarian dish which had mushrooms and a pearl couscous type grain. Very well seasoned and comforting. The duck was amazing as well and so was the pork belly dish. I loved the fish we ordered which I can't recall if it was trout or salmon, but the seasoning was perfect. Not too salty and tasted nice and fresh. For the wines, we needed help with recommendations and the staff were extremely knowledgeable. They poured us samples from open bottles that they had available which helped us choose what we wanted to enjoy with our dinner. Fantastic place for a date or just a special dinner.

The wine tasting is great bang for your buck with options for add on a mini board with cheese and ham. Can also add on a tour which was very informative and has gorgeous views The food at the restaurant next to the tasting area are a hit or miss. Their veggies are cooked very tenderly whereas the meet were a bit tough

    View, rainy day.

Quails' Gate Winery has a very nice setting with a view of Lake Louise. The service was amazing; Erica was very engaging and informative. Having experienced many wine, tastings, in many other areas of the world, I did not feel the value was there in that for the price of a tasting you only received four pours. The wine itself was okay. Also, I didn't enjoy having to stand the entire time while tasting. Overall, I recommend Quails' Gate due to the setting and the service.

We had dinner reservations at the restaurant at 6pm but came early for a wine tasting at 4:30. There was no wait and the lady performing the wine tasting, Mini, was delightful. We did the Collectors Tasting and the Richard's Block Chardonnay was the clear standout - both couples bought a bottle. We received a bonus tasting of the Fortified Foch. I personally picked up a bottle of Chardonnay, Marechal Foch and Queue. The best part, however, is that you're able to grab a bottle of wine and go drink it in the vineyards with a beautiful view - they even give you plastic cups if you ask.

5 star all the way. The food is simply so good and the atmosphere is amazing. We ordered the snow crab risotto added four big fat scallops on top, veal cheek was soooooooo delicious i don't understand what they put in the sauce but it's to die for. The only one not that good is the tomato appetizer, simply not worth the money. I can't really taste the wine jelly. The tartare is also amazing, but the choice of bottom block is interesting, I loved it but my friend didn't Service is amazing!

    Perfect meal with fabulous service!

The second stop on our trip was Quails' Gate, another larger, well-known winery.  However, the experience was nothing like that at Mission Hill.  It was crowded and chaotic, and the people there were.... colorful, such as the basketball jersey-clad guy whose face and head were covered in tattoos and the 20-something year old girl wearing a tight leopard print dress, socks, and fuzzy slippers.  Some people had also brought along their young children.  Unlike Mission Hill, where groups had private tasting rooms, the setup at Quails' Gate was that of a typical tasting -- you stand at a long counter sampling the wine, although due to COVID, each group was separated by a plexiglass barrier (which is a good idea even during non-pandemic times, as it gives a sense of privacy).   I wasn't impressed with our host, a middle aged man named Glen, or some other such middle aged man's name, especially when I saw him pull off his mask and rub his finger underneath his nose (presumably to scratch an itch).  Yuck.  We sampled four wines: Chenin Blanc; Gewürztraminer; Rosé; and the group's favourite, the Old Vines Foch, a smokey, spicy, peppery red (I didn't care for it, as I do not like those types of wines, but everyone else loved it). The wine tasting was $10 a person, and you received a voucher for $10 off a bottle of wine, so essentially your tasting was free with a purchase, which is standard at wine tastings (not at Mission Hill, though, in which there was no discount on the tasting with a purchase).  I didn't buy any wine, although my husband and friend did, including several bottles of the Foch.  All of us agreed that Quails' Gate was an overall poor experience (especially compared to other wine tastings), but we were happy to have tried the Foch.  While there's nothing wrong with Quails' Gate wine, I wouldn't recommend going there for a tasting, especially as there are so many other wineries. Fantastic food, beautiful vineyard and excellent customer service from all. We didn't make reservations for lunch at the restaurant as we didn't know what time we would arrived. We were welcomed as there were available tables on the patio. The patio has stunning views! Note: social distancing was kept high in the restaurant and on the grounds. The all staff wore face mask and hand sanitizers at all entrances. We felt safe here. Extending our courtesy to the staff, we wore our face masks onsite when not eating. We order truffle & parmesan fries, steamed mussels with saffron and white wine, and garganelli pasta with fennel sausage, confit garlic, pine nuts and herbs. All delicious. We were so full, we didn't have room for desserts. Upon our server's suggesting I ordered the 2017 Chardonnay which went well with our lunch. It was crisp and very smooth. I'm not a white wine person but this one really impressed me. The grounds are lovely to walk around. From the restaurant, you can walk all the way to the lake front. After lunch, we popped into the "market" to see the wine selection (and also a good place to grab a quick snack with plenty of picnic tables around). We bought a bottle of red without tasting as the staff were so helpful. I highly recommend this winery. It was out first winery upon arrive and checked all the marks.

    A wine coupon.

Upon entering we were told we had to pay upfront for tasting and would receive coupons for wine. The wine was good but the entrance left a bad taste in my mouth. Every other winery we have bought multiple bottles and felt much more relaxed.

A very enjoyable wine tasting. We popped by on a whim without a reservation and the staff was able to accommodate our group. I tried two whites and two reds, and fell in love with Queue. The views were gorgeous - went to their patio and vineyards for photos afterwards. A lovely time.

A wonderful winery with a wonderful restaurant. The ambience is beautiful. Service was amazing. Wine list was ample and the menu was amazing. All food arrived cooked to perfection. It was a busy Saturday night however our dining experience never felt rushed in the least. Overall an imprecise dining experience.

First off, when we entered the building, we thought the "hostess" was there to help others to purchase tickets. Mind you, it was only 2 other ladies [of the same party] that was purchasing the tickets while we were waiting. My husband was looking around at the wine selection, while I stood there and was confused on why we weren't greeted next. The "hostess" [who we shall name] heard us commenting why I was confused THEN finally acknowledged us, when we were clearly standing there a good while. Secondly, when we finally purchased the "tickets," she seemed pretty agitated because my husband kept on trying to explain the options we had back in the States. We didn't realized we couldn't buy a bottle in a Canada, like how we do in the States, If we didn't want to do the WHOLE tasting experience at first. But she finally understood and we moved on from there. Luckily, the connoisseur we had during the tastings was friendly enough to have the patience for us to just relax and chill from there. I would've rated this place as a 1, but the connoisseur had literal knowledge of the wines, along with the hospitality that I know Canada has to offer. And also, the views are amazing, but it sucks that we can't bring drinks out on the patio and do pictures. We have to leave the glasses back and THEN stepped outside to enjoy the patio. Wine NOT right?

THE BLACK AND WHITE: This was our second to last winery before we called it quits for the night. We came in wanting to try some more okanagan pinot noirs and we got them! They gave us a sparkling pet nat to try as we were walking in which was nice. The pinot noirs here in the classic tasting were alright. One was very light and the other was heavy and leathery. For bonus pours, we tried their late harvest riesling which had that petrol taste profile that I weirdly like. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Great staff and service, however the wines were alright. A tasting was $10 for four pours. Very affordable and would recommend to try at least once.

This was actually one of their natural wines we were hoping to try. Turned out to be our favourite. A touch fizzy and notes of blueberry. We debated getting a bottle ($30.00). Decent wines at SV but we enjoyed the organic wines more out in West Kelowna.
