This art-focused winery was a lot of fun. When I entered the tasting room, there were many paintings on the walls, and even the wine labels featured art. The staff provided us with 3D glasses so we could enjoy the paintings with a 3D effect. I was already excited as I walked around the tasting room and decided to try a wine tasting. We tried the Rosé, Woops 2022, Gewurztraminer, Wolf Song, and Phoenix. Our most favorite was Woops 2022, then, Phoenix which we purchased. The Woops wine label is designed upside down, which is really fun, and it tastes great too. Phoenix was full-bodied and tasted really good. I also liked the Gewurztraminer for its well-balanced fruit flavors and sweetness, and the Wolf Song for its buttery taste. We also purchased their original wine glass. Our second winery stop of the day was to The Vibrant Vine. They have an art gallery upstairs and all their label artwork is in 3D. They give you 3D glasses to use when you first walk in. Tasting fee is $10.00/person (for 5 pours) and they require payment right when you walk in. You get a $10.00 coupon which you can apply to a purchase of a bottle. Bottles are in the $24.90 to $54.90 price range. Interestingly, we found out it's cheaper to buy several of their bottles at the Wine and Beyond store in town. - Rosé - Pinot grigio - Woops - Gewurtztraminer - The Mask - a blend of four grapes. A herbaceous note of dill was added. Couldn't detect that note myself. None of the wines at TVV were memorable and the whole experience felt very gimmicky. read more

Having only heard about Vibrant Vine the day before while at Frequency Winery, we hadn't booked a reservation and decided to take our chances dropping in. Our gamble paid off, and we only had to wait about ten minutes or so before a spot became available. The setup was that each group had a one-on-one session with an employee at their own bar (no running back and forth between groups, as with Quails' Gate and Sandhill). I don't recall the name of the employee, but she was fantastic and very enthusiastic, and it made for a great experience -- well worth the $6 per person (which was waived with a purchase.) We sampled six wines: 2017 Sparkling Vibranté Rosé (a blend of Pinot Auxerrois and Merlot); 2019 Pinot Grigio; 2019 Rosé (a blend of Gewürztraminer, Pinot Auxerrois, and Merlot); the award-winning 2019 "Woops" (a blend of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Auxerrois, Pinot Gris, and Muscat), so-called due to a labelling mishap (although shouldn't it be called "Whoops"?); 2019 Gewürztraminer; and the 2019 Foxy (Gamay). All good stuff. After the tasting, we took a walk through their art gallery. Vibrant Vine's schtick is their 3-D psychedelic art and wine labels, and while it's not a huge draw for me, it was fun. Brought another Kelowna visitor to the beautiful winery up the road from my house, The Vibrant Vine. As always, a magnificent experience. The moment you enter the vibrant colours and artwork take your breath away. Then the well guided wine tasting tour leaves your palette wanting more. Since it was close to the Christmas holidays we had the option to upgrade our tasting with ice wine served on a chocolate cup, how could we say no to that? It is a tourist trap. But is something to do. Wine tastings are an exorbitant $15 per person. But will discount any bottles you buy. Tacky 3D glasses given to view the artwork. They charge a tasting fee that is refundable upon purchase but unlike most other wineries you have to pay your deposit before you can taste the wine. I guess they don't trust you. The wine tasting was okay. The girl pouring our drinks was new and had only started work at Vibrant vines that week. The wine are okay. Not some of the better wines that we've tasted during our wine tasting day. We did buy a bottle of Whoops. We were going to have lunch on their deck but they charge an admission on top of what you would pay for your meal because they had a singer. I'm sorry but that is just wrong to charge a fee on top of the cost of the meal. We could hear the singer and it is not someone that I would be willing to pay a fee to listen to. If you choose to have a singer you should consider it to be the cost of doing business. We went elsewhere for lunch. The wine was okay. We did not feel that our business was appreciated and certainly did not feel welcome. We would not return. read more

I've been here several times, always a fun, exciting adventure. This year however, I brought a family member new to wineries and was completely disappointed in the experience. $15.00/person for a tasting, only 4 wines that are pre decided. The nail in the coffin was the pours that were less than an ounce. My guest to kelowna actually thought they forgot to pour her tasting, when in reality it was a half a finger pour in a whiskey glass. I have never seen such disappointment in a winery ever. Save on foods later that day had poured more wine for a tasting in one glass then the entirety of the tasting at vibrant vines. read more

We love The Vibrant Vine and because my parents live in Kelowna full time now, they're regulars at showing off this great place. The owners have actually expanded the showroom/tasting room recently quite a bit and it makes for a great experience. They will soon be having a private area for wine club members (and you know my mom jumped at that)! Regular wine tasting starts at $6 which you get waived when you buy a bottle. The best part about tasting wine here is they separate you into small groups at different bars and explain their backstory of each wine so for someone who isn't a full blown wine expert, it's a cool place to learn and ask questions. Our guy, Rohan gave us advice of which to try and in what order and you really have to pay the $2 extra for a chocolate cup of ice wine. The artwork inside is loud, colourful 3D fantasy meets kaleidoscope and all the bottles are decorated with their own cool labels which we proudly display at home in Edmonton! Just outside the viewing room is a big lawn with tons of chairs and picnic tables with a large stage at the back for their hired live music. Both times I've been the lawn has been just packed but in a "we're all here together" kind of way. The Snack Shack has wine popsicles which are awesome but you can totally get a sand pail full of ice and a bottle of wine to share. The reason we didn't give this place a 5 star review is just because the food could stepped up a notch. I know our group would have gone back for many snacks but instead we all shared a packaged charcuterie box and store box spinach dip. Not the worst, just didn't match the experience. One of the coolest things aside from everything else was that the proprietor, Marion met with guests on the lawn walking around to each one thanking them for coming down and her husband Anthony actually welcomed us behind the till where he snapped a cool picture of our group. We wanted to visit a winery and they have so many near Kelowna that it was hard to decide. We decided to visit the Vibrant Vine and were happy with our choice. They have 3-D art which is unique and they give you the 3-D glasses to keep when viewing the art work on the wine bottle. They charge a $10 tasting fee which is deducted from the price of the wine you purchase after the tour (which we did). This is a sales gimmick but it works. So we checked off our bucket list a visit to a winery in Kelowna which worked out great. read more

Part of the Wicked Wine Tours - this was our third stop. Psychedelic and a very unique experience! Upon entering the tasting room, we were greeted by the owner who instructed us to grab a pair of 3D glasses to browse around at the trippy art and bottle labels that were designed by his son with a 3D effect. The owner took his time to introduce himself and welcome us which made the experience very intimate. After a quick look, we gathered around the tasting table near the back to sample some vino. About an ounce pour which seems to be the standard around the Okanagan area. Their "Woops" is their most popular wine with an interesting story on how the wine got its name. Part of the tasting included a choice of either red or white iced wine in a little chocolate cup. Terrible. I'm a dog dad. I get that you can't take dogs into wineries. My family and I went to the vibrant vine , they were going to do a tasting whilst I stayed outside on their deck. Not so much, I got kicked off their lawn and told to sit on the picnic tables out front. Guess what, I got kicked if those. I had to sit with my dog in the parking lot in my car with the ac to full. This is the stupidest winery I've ever been to. Their wine is unfortunately mediocre as well even though they charge prices that are not so mediocre. You're better off buying a good $20 bottle from the liquor store and sitting on your deck. You suck vibrant vines read more

This was another stop on our winery tour. The 3D glasses was a pretty cool effect although I must admit that after awhile, my eyes started to hurt. This place is super popular and unfortunately, the tasting room was quite crammed in. While I really appreciate the décor (and the coolness factor of this winery), the wines were all right and nothing to scream "I MUST GRAB THIS BOTTLE". Forget about what you know about wineries. To tap that well-worn cliché seen in every big-budget movie trailer, "you will not be prepared". The Vibrant Vine is unassuming. It doesn't blast Laser-Floyd against a dark canvas. The building doesn't resemble the theater from The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. We had been given the recommendation to visit from Camelot...and I just realized that I need to specify that it was the Camelot Winery; otherwise, readers will think I'm Robin Williams' character from The Fisher King (that's two Terry Gilliam references, and I'm only one paragraph in). We realized something would be a little askew as we approached the door and noticed a sign asking for us to recycle our 3D glasses. What? At this point, we still had no idea what to expect. Into the building, within a minute, I figured someone had slipped me LSD, mescaline, or that cured beef stick I'd been chewing on had actually been the mummified flesh of Hunter S Thompson (which could be a third Gilliam reference if you think about it). I can't say for certain that the idea for The Vibrant Vine came about via recreational drug use, but I'm going to assume something stronger than Advil was involved. The entire winery is one front-to-back, top-to-bottom, psychedelic trip. A Dennis Hopper lookalike should be in the corner laughing hysterically. Even with glasses off, the winery is a colorful mélange of animals and landscapes, with paintings and novelty items all emblazoned with the same euphoric flamboyant colors, ones literally leaping off the surface with glasses donned. This is what happens when Bob Ross eats mushrooms. You'll end up wandering for twenty minutes, gazing at the massive murals floating off the walls before even attempting a wine tasting. Usually, I don't care for it where a winery promotes their brand over their wine, but this will be a very notable exception. It was such an impressive location that ten months after our first wine trip, where we visited 60 wineries over a week and returned with 120 bottles, we took our friends on a similar journey with The Vibrant winery one of the few revisited. But after all of that, even with already offering the winery the highest recommendation, how was the wine? Meh, it was okay, but that doesn't matter. I'd still go again, and part of me wants to buy bottles just for the bottles themselves. The wine itself is almost an afterthought. The irony is that the best wine has one of the more lackluster bottles, though saying that with the disclaimer than a dull bottle at The Vibrant Vine is like the worst Kurosawa film--even the bad ones are better than Michael Bay entire filmography. The star player is the Whoops 2015, named after a mistake in its creation when it's label was wrapped upside down. It's legit good wine. One of these days, I will buy all the bottles just to keep in a collection. It's just too bad their trippy designs don't carry onto their ice-wines, of which I bought two. On our second trip, we enjoyed a picnic on their patio, enjoying the amazing view. There's no denying that The Vibrant Vine is by far the best winery east of Kelowna, and the star among the Fab Five, sharing company with The View, Camelot, House of Rose, and Spierhead. All are good wines but The Vibrant Vine is the one mandatory visit of them all. And I hope I am not the only one that thought their name was The Vibrant Wine. I thought it was called that for like a year. read more

I just got back from a 3 day winery tour with a few friends and The Vibrant Vines was our first stop. The second I walked in, I immediately felt like I was sipping wine at an art show. We were instructed to put on these disposable 3D glasses to have a more interesting wine tasting experience. All the paintings and artwork on the walls came popping out. Stopped here with friends and it was out of this world. 3D paintings on the walls!? Crazy good and excellent wines, though the ice wine was overwhelmed by the taste of chocolate.....In a good way. We left with three label paintings ( on the bottles). I chose the Woops, appropriate name, my friends got the Gewurztraminer and Pinot Grigio.
