Meandering off the main road and down their unpaved driveway, you are greeted by vines overlooking the lake and a sprawling outdoor patio with fantastical art on display. The interior tasting room is casual, a vaulted wooden structure with a library of wine bottles on display. We were instantly greeted and given a cozy corner (6 ft+ from other patrons, appreciate their safety precautions!) to enjoy our tasting. Visiting from California, it was fun to try wines typical to the Okanagan. I especially enjoyed how light and nuanced the Merlots are, since CA Merlots tend to leave me feeling punched in the face. We ended up purchasing a 2017 bottle of The Greatest Love of Mal to bring home. It was divine, with a taste that danced between chocolate covered cherries and a subtle licorice finish... I can easily (and did), keep sipping until the bottle disappears!

This was our favourite of the three reds we tried. - 2021 Cabernet franc - 2020 La droite - 2018 Late harvest viognier - not too sweet, good mouth feel. - Blanc de blanc - first time they've made a sparkling pinot blanc. We heard this winery offered juice tastings for the little ones, so it seemed like the perfect place to bring our toddler. We arrived a little late, but Gina and Michael were so gracious. We actually got the whole place to ourselves for the first half of the tasting (before a tour group showed up), it was wonderful. They poured our little guy his own flight of juices (explaining each one), and we sampled a number of wines. We got to hear about the history of the vineyard, the wine selection was great and I loved the small rustic feel of the vineyard. Unfortunately our toddler got fussy towards the end and spilled a lot of the juice. In hindsight he was probably too young to do a full juice tasting, but Gina and Michael were so professional and gracious. I hope to come back for another wine tasting... when our son is older and can sit through a tasting.

I mentioned to her and she agreed that I do not like to purchase a wine I have not tasted. We ended up purchasing 4 bottles of wine. We feel for the quality of their wines they are reasonably priced. Beautiful winery and views - dog friendly (they are across from a dog park) inside and outside the tasting room. There is a private parking lot, with ample parking and really cannot beat the views of the lake. It's actually one winery and two labels (one with whites the other with reds). I asked a few more puzzling questions to our server, but I can't really fault her for not knowing every single detail (she said she was new). I think there's probably something for everyone's palate here, and a little extra fun shopping for wine-themed gifts as well.

Last-Minute Wine Tasting? No Problem!…read more Stopped by around 4:45 PM, knowing they close at 5, but I still wanted to check the place out. Despite the late arrival, the reception was incredibly welcoming--they even asked if I'd like to do a wine tasting! I mentioned that they were closing soon, but they encouraged me to stay and enjoy since there were still other guests tasting. Even though it was a last-minute visit, I never felt rushed. Instead of quickly pouring whatever was available, they asked what type of tasting I preferred--white, red, or the happy hour selection. A nice touch! Five minutes before closing, they were still welcoming new guests, which made me feel much less guilty about showing up late. The Wine Experience Chardonnay - I'm picky about Chardonnay, but this one was surprisingly buttery and smooth. A great choice for both beginners and experienced wine lovers exploring new Chardonnay profiles. Rosé - A perfect Happy Hour pick! Light, fruity, and refreshing--exactly what I needed to unwind after a long day. Cabernet Merlot - A touch spicy and slightly chewy. If you love Cabernet with good tannins but not too overpowering, this is a great option. Location & Atmosphere Unfortunately, I was too late to try the food, but the location is super convenient--right in downtown with its own parking lot (which is a huge plus for wine tasting in the city!). No stress about parking! If you're with a group, this spot is even better because after wine tasting, you can easily switch things up--there are breweries nearby, so everyone can split off based on their drink preference. I'll definitely be back to try the food and fully experience the chill, hangout vibes. Can't wait for round two!

We didn't go for the Chef's Tasting menu but were perfectly content with the Terrace Dining menu. Service was impeccable and we felt extremely welcomed. Only downside to the experience was the fact that the wines weren't that amazing. Mostly because of the deep freeze that forced wineries to import from elsewhere. Ice wine from Mission Hill is still amazing. Still, the food, service, and ambience made up for this small hiccup!
