We had a lovely lunch here, and the service was excellent. The trout and bison carpaccio were also excellent.

The food was incredible. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor--we especially loved the duck, the fresh local produce, and of course, the wine pairings. You can really taste the quality and care in every bite. What made the night even more special was the service. The staff were attentive, kind, and made me feel genuinely celebrated, even bringing out a surprise birthday dessert. Whether you're a local or visiting the Okanagan, Old Vines is the perfect place for a special occasion. Great wine, amazing food, and one of the most beautiful dining settings anywhere.

We booked a Happy Hour reservation for the long Sunday Easter long weekend at 4:30pm and we were the first to arrive. As Salt & Brick has an evolving fresh sheet menu, you never know what's on the menu but they usually have a few staples like their Brussel sprouts. As this was my boyfriend's first time here, we ordered the Brussell sprouts with popcorn and the Rigatoni. We were given the regular menu but did inquire about Happy Hour and the Brussel sprouts, pastas, and charcuterie board were on special. Unfortunately, they didn't have any oysters available that day. Small cozy atmosphere with a cute front porch. It's a small bar and kitchen that you can see and wonderful that you see and hear all the food being freshly made to order. Our server was friendly, chatty, and attentive but also gave us our space too. The Brussel sprouts served with cheddar popcorn, grapes, and ripped beer cheese is a bit salty, sweet, and so satisfying! My partner doesn't love Brussel sprouts but really enjoyed this dish. The Rigatoni was a bit rich with a nettle became sauce but served with the earthy lily spears, it was a well rounded dish altogether that we also enjoyed. Cute restaurant on the Downtown main strip that isn't a major chain, which is refreshing. Will continue to visit next time in town and hopefully they will have oysters then!

Passing through the area for work. This rating is for my experience…read more My food was very tasty at a great portion and price and my waitress Leann? was an angel. I'm giving a low score due to the fact that I feel this establishment is heavily discriminatory of people of color. When speaking to locals I had met. They all agreed. I was passing through Kelowna on a work trip and this location and golf course was near my hotel. So I decided to walk over as I was excited since I frequent driving ranges and courses. When I walked in the door, immediately I was stared at like I didn't belong there. Of course 95% of wait/hostess staff were white/white passing. I asked to sit on the patio because there was a great view. There were multiple 2 and 4 tops available. I was sat at a huge table at the very back away from the view as not to be intermixed with all the white diners that were all seated forward towards the view. I was there drinking and dining for almost 2 hours and none of those tables had diners. So the excuse that they were "reserved" isn't valid. I was gawked at by wait staff and just stared at. It was not a great feeling. When I spoke to friends and other locals of the area. They all confirmed that's exactly what was happening as they had heard the same from other people. If you're a person of color STAY AWAY. This was absolutely the most uncomfortable I felt within the entire western half of Canada. As I've gone through A LOT of cities and Provinces. I didn't event get a chance to do the driving range on the property because I was so uncomfortable with it all. I would've preferred to be turned away versus sitting there being treated this way. Locals then recommended multiple other options where I may be more accepted. Again food was tasty but seeing myself and the only other table of color being tucked away out of site truly left a horrible taste in my mouth.

We ordered the Crunch and Munch roll, three mini crispy sandwiches and truffle parm fries. As per usual, food was solid and delicious. Server was great even though it was mainly one server, one bar tender, and 2 managers operating. For dessert, ordered tea and a slice of the strawberry cheesecake. It took awhile for the cheesecake to come but was delicious when it did. Everything came out to $50 including tax and we left full, satisfied, and happy.
