Oh man! I cannot say enough good things about this winery! We were driving by and noticed it was new to us, so we decided to stop in and check it out. And boy, we were blown away! Everyone of their staff was so friendly and really knew their wine! We did a tasting in the room to the left and it was so relaxing! They even gave us a taste right from the barrel! I have been coming to Temecula for years and never been offering wine from the barrel! That was very cool! I also LOVE that they have a pool! The winery is just beautiful. The wines are so good with pretty packaging. The front desk is welcoming and professional. We have been a few times for tastings and Claudio has been great ! We went down to the beautiful pool area which is a must do in the summer. Unfortunately the bartender was rude, not helpful, and irritated we were there towards the end of the day. A small situation was blown out of proportion by the manager of this establishment "Shar" (she covered her name tag with her hand when asked her name, so the spelling is assumed). It was a confusing and disappointing event that resulted in a group of 13 suddenly being asked to leave without warning (most of the party were simply told to leave without taking part in the conversation or even having the situation explained). We were told that we were warned 3 times while standing outside (after already being kicked out and recorded by the manager). Even when we tried to pay for our wine tastings, we were refused. They walked out to the parking lot as we were walking in to tell us we weren't allowed in the tasting room except but the pool. The wines are good, but not great. Truthfully, I prefer some other winerys in the area. That said, our group found this "experience" the best. The building is brand new and the view and vibe are awesome. You feel like a million bucks sitting on this patio enjoying the wine and view. Pro tip - Come here last. We spent the afternoon at the pool during the week. The pool is nice, views are even better. The resort feel, but right in your backyard, was awesome. Loved the beautiful, clean lines and minimalist feel. The cabines add to that resort feel, and we're great to park a stroller, your belongings, etc. We had the place to ourselves. Which, having an infant in tow, made it pretty awesome. That said, the price point was very high considering no one was there. I wouldn't see myself coming back unless they offered discounted weekday prices. Our waitress couldn't answer a single question about food or drinks, a bit disappointing considering (again) the high price points. Food was decent, nothing spectacular, but a good menu for poolside eats. We joined Bottaia in March, and last week was our second visit. We love the amazing service that we get from Bernadette! Her recommendations for wines and delicious snacks are always right on! Since we live in Phoenix, it was a big decision to commit to a Temecula winery. I went here for my friends birthday and the service here was above and beyond! There were a lot of complications to our reservation since some were unable to make it and the rest were running late, but Sadie was understanding and helpful and just overall awesome! Sadie made sure we weren't stressing about things that she had the power to fix. Our server, Mike, was also amazing! He was very knowledgeable about the pairing of their wines with the food. He was very helpful and friendly! The food was great and the wines were good as well. My favorite wine was the Late Harvest desert wine. Amazing service from our server Nick! He made us feel welcome from the beginning. We sat on a nice deck overlooking the vineyards. I'm so glad we stopped here! It's not like other winery's where it feels cramped. You actually have a table space here to relax and enjoy what wine country is all about! Buckle up, this review is a rough ride. I visited this winery with a group of 13 women, celebrating a friend's birthday. Immediate elitist vibes upon entering. Most areas are reserved for members only. The tasting was disappointing; couldn't choose which you'd like to try and often times were given no information about the wine being poured into our glass. However, this was not even the worst of it. Of the 13 of us, 11 are black. An unfortunately important detail in this scenario. There was a misunderstanding between a few in our group and a security guard. Our waitress who witnessed the exchange was apologizing to us for the way the security guard handled the situation meanwhile the female manager was outside threatening to call the police if we didn't all leave the property immediately. We were abruptly ushered out and continuously yelled at by the manager. It was heartbreaking and absolutely appalling the way she treated our group in what bystanders agreed was a blatantly racist manner. It left us all in a state of post traumatic distress. read more

Yes, Newest winery in town who's positioned themselves as an exclusive property. Just how exclusive are we talking about? Well, the pool at Bottaia will set you back $30 a chair from Wed-Fri and $40 on Sat-Sunday. At the price point, it really does segregate the people who wants to swim and people who would love to just indulge in a day here. I guess you can reserve the Cabine for $120 on weekdays if you would to do that. I do have to say this place looks like a sparkling clean farmhouse currently with minimal foliage around the grounds. While there, of course you have to try the wines. Nothing here is less than $14 a glass so be ready to pony buck some more money here. Though we never had the opportunity to to try the wines here since we arrived at 5pm, I do love that terrace area where you can get lost staring out in their vineyard. Even though this is a sister property to Ponte, I hear their wines are not re-labeled nor is it similar. Most expensive is their Montepulciano reserve, Arneis Reserve, and Caldare reserve. But they do have a barrel room in which you have to pay $25 to enter and try those more complex wines upstairs. We couldn't speak for the wines, but based on the some of the service after 5pm, I would say maybe have more options for people to come after work? Perhaps like a gift shop or even a little hall where people can know a little more about this place? I'll have to update this review after a visit next time. I'm intrigued, but just not enough to make it on the priority list. read more

We've been long time members on and off with Bottaia and Ponte. We stay at Ponte maybe 3-6 times a year. Ponte staff are always welcoming and friendly BUT Bottaia only treats you well if you are a member. Im been going to Bottaia since they opened when all seating with opened to everyone. Yesterday's visit was disappointing to say the least. It was a Wednesday and I was picking up my last box of wine and my membership expired September 30, 2022. We booked a seated tasting as I invited guest to join us. Loung was empty but they asked for wait in the lobby because lounge was for members only. After our tastings we wanted to enjoy a glass of wine on their outside area where maybe one or two areas had people sitting, the rest was empty. All areas used to be open to all guest at all times. I was told to go back out and check back in with hostess to be seated. Hostess wanted to seat us in the 2nd class section with hard uncomfortable chairs. I said, no. We are leaving. This type of mentality hurts your business and money walks out the door. Its a Wednesday Not a busy day. I can see how these rules might possibly apply on weekends. Anyhow. Try out other wineries like Avensole & Oak Mountain as ALL people are treated equally with great views, good Serivce and good wine. read more

Bottaia Winery is taking the wine tasting experience to a whole new level! Thick with the air of exclusivity this winery boasts some unique Italian varietals, a wine blending lab experience, and a gorgeous pool surrounded by the vineyard topped off with a FULL bar (rare for the wineries in the area that are strictly beer and wine) all with absolutely exceptional service from start to finish. The norm for this prestigious little spot will be reservation only; however since they opened barely over a month ago, they are graciously accepting walk ins. We were greeted at the front as a staff member opened the front doors welcoming us to Bottaia, and proceeded to check in at the concierge desk. After selecting our wine experience; traditional (standing only) barrel room tasting of seven wines, a seated food and wine pairing experience, or the wine blending lab experience (set to open next month). The concierge noted that due to just opening, everyone is welcome to enjoy the lounge and terrace areas where they serve their wine by the bottles and by the glass - but eventually those areas will be available to members only. After our barrel room tasting we ventured out back to see the pool (yes, pool!) lined with 'cabines', tables and lounge chairs all for rent with a full bar and restaurant under the covered patio area. A quick lunch of chips, salsa and burgers had everyone thoroughly satisfied - enough to sign up for a membership! Four bottles a quarter, two reds and two whites - plus typical membership discounts off bottles and amenities along with four tastings a quarter for you and/or guests. The experience today exceeded any and all expectations from start to finish, and I would highly HIGHLY recommend paying this unique winery a visit to revitalize your Temecula wine tasting experience. read more

What an absolutely amazing experience! This vineyard's grounds are stunning, absolutely top-notch service, well-maintained and clean facilities, and a gorgeous pool (unique to this location.) First, we started in the Barrell Room for a tasting that I booked the day before for my husband's birthday, where Cynthia took excellent care of us, even bringing out some additional options based on our personal preferences. As we are interested in becoming members, Dennis took the time to give us a tour and educate us on the history of the vineyard and the options available for both members and guests. They were able to book us last minute for their tasting and charcuterie pairing, where Aaron went above and beyond explaining the wines and charcuterie pairings, which truly elevated both the foods and the wines. Let me preface this review by saying our hostess, Hannah, absolutely killed it! She was so attentive and sweet, and my comments have absolutely nothing to do with the waitstaff. However, this is the SNOBBIEST winery I have ever visited. Very beautiful and wine is solid, but everything is super overpriced and the second you stop ordering, you're ignored. We paid for a cabine as well to shower and freshen up for dinner once we were done at the pool. I guess the $130 we paid didn't include warm water or privacy. About 10 after 6pm someone knocked loudly on our cabine and told us to leave. I had to open the door in my towel, to tell her the water never warmed up so we could shower. Complete waste of $$. In addition, this was my birthday and they tried to stick us all the way back next to the kiddy area. First of all, WHY ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED??? I expect an adults only setting for the kind of money they charge. Kids were jumping and splashing all day. Just overall, so many problems with their attitude towards well paying guests. If you want to bring a large party...dont bother. The place is empty at 5:30 pm. We came in with a reservation for 10. We pull some chairs together. They tell us we cant all sit together because no more then 8 can sit together. There is nobody around us and they wont let us move some chairs. Calling all serious wine drinkers! This is the perfect place to sit back, relax, and enjoy some delicious wines without the presence of children. Yay! This place is gorgeous from the moment you pull up. Since they just opened a few weeks ago, they may still add some finishing touches to the exterior, but it's still very pretty. When you approach the front doors, a member of the staff opens the doors to the lobby and warmly greets you. You check-in at the front desk (reservations preferred) for your experience of choice, and are then seated. My husband and I sat in the lounge, which you should check out now, before it becomes members only. There is also a barrel room for tastings, a covered patio where you can enjoy a glass or a bottle, and an incredible space where they offer seated tastings with charcuterie pairing. All of it kid free. BOTTAIA also offers a cafe and full bar located by their pool. In order to utilize the pool, you have to have a day pass. You can reserve a pool chair, lounger, or cabine (dressing room with a shower) which includes 2 loungers. You do not need a pool pass to have lunch, dinner, or drinks in the cafe and bar area. Children are allowed in this area. Our experience in the lounge was delightful. We thoroughly enjoyed glasses of the Aglianico and Sangiovese Reserve, which paired well with the complimentary snacks. The level of service is superb. Our server and the other staff members were incredibly attentive, informative, friendly, and professional. The attention to detail is impressive, and the unobstructed views are the cherry on top. I can't wait to go back and see all of you there :-) read more

I wouldn't recommend this winery to anyone and most certainly not to anyone who is Black or POC. I was here last weekend with my friends for an annual trip to Temecula. This was our first and last time at Bottaia for the simple fact the winery manager Sharlee Martin was racist and made this a horrible experience. She was indignant towards my party who received an unwarranted noise complaint from staff member Randy who was outside while we were in the tasting room. Our party nor anyone else in the tasting room was loud or obnoxious to be treated that way. Her resolve to our tainted experience was to call the police advising we were hostile. The lady who served us during our tasting was shocked and apologized to us but we will never return. read more
