I'm still angry about the evening the next day, the service was pleasant, maybe overly casual but the women were nice and even moved us from the tiny, freezing table by the door. The servers were the best part of the night. The barbecue platter that was shared between the two of of us was expensive, uninspired and cold. My husband and I both love Korean bbq and southern barbecue and we were so sad and underwhelmed by what was served to us. The platter was two pieces small pieces of brisket, 4 ribs and a quarter of a chicken. The brisket (the best of the food) was lukewarm, a tiny serving and under seasoned - what is with places that don't provide salt at the table???? The ribs were underdone, I don't need the meat to fall off the bone but I would like to be able to bite off all the meat and I couldn't, and even though there was only four ribs, we could only eat three. The chicken was a very bland and cold. Each item was supposed to be a different type of barbecue but you couldn't tell the difference between barbecue flavours from one item to the next. They did serve sauces but they too were underwhelming and didn't make the food better. The side of kimchi coleslaw was basically a poor mixture of purple and white cabbage with no taste, no where near what kimchi is supposed to be like. The fries were good but the ketchup was house made and tasted like basic ketchup with too much 5 spice powder - yuck. I'm still angry and disappointed that we spent $150 (we didn't have alcohol) and went home hungry and mad. We will never be back. For an award winning chef we thought this meal would be a special treat and it was anything but.
