After your introductory rate, expect an arbitrary and undeclared increase every 6 months. Our rate for a 5x8 unit ballooned from $134 to $196 per month in 3 years. Also, we heard from another customer that there was a robbery of 13 units due to the cameras not being monitored when office staff leaves. In response to my concern, they told me they weren't obliged to notify clients whose units were not robbed. I should have asked more questions when we signed our rental agreement. I'd avoid any facility managed by this owner. read more

This review is for truck rental, NOT for self storage although the facility was in fantastic condition and I would definitely try them for storage based on my experience with them. I called frantically at 5:00pm the night before I needed a truck in the morning for a last-minute move. They were only there until 6:00pm and I could not make it. They had a truck that fit my needs and they were the closest place so I really wanted to work through them. Jim, who I believe is the manager, offered to come in early and rent me the truck the next morning 2 HOURS before they opened because he was going to be nearby anyways due to electrical work on the building. The actual rental experience was fast, convenient and the truck was in great condition. I've rented before through Penske at Home Depot in South Bay and their trucks are in worse condition even though they have lower miles. The truck came with a full tank so there was no, "Well you're at 5/8ths of a tank so you need to be there or we'll charge you!" Check out was easy, I just dropped off the keys and Jim emailed me the receipt. Jim is a stand-up guy, the service was fantastic and the experience was great all-around. Thanks Jim! read more

Super clean & brand new building. The manager is really cool & thorough. He explains everything really well. Makes your small city condo bigger with storage space. The small unit even for our two bikes & plenty of other boxes. Insurance is required. Reservations done at the desk. Then, everything is automated on move-in day, including a free lock dispensed at the kiosk. Note$25 fee when you get the key. read more

As far as climate controlled storage goes- this place is great. It's clean, technology driven (kiosk allows you to rent and buy a lock easily), and they have a number of amenities that you wouldn't expect. All at a reasonable cost too. There is Uhaul on site for your moving needs, a business center, etc. If you live near or have storage needs near Seaport and Southie, I highly recommend this place. read more

We used seaport as we were de-cluttering our southie condo and then to store all of our stuff while we were between houses. Jim the manager was fantastic from the day we moved in to the day we left. The systems are all new and up to date and there is plenty of parking. The place isn't just clean, it's shining much cleaner than it needs to be for a self storage facility. You can't beat the hours either. Early mornings and late nights. You don't even need someone to be in the office to rent a unit, with the kiosk in the lobby you can select a unit, or an additional one and purchase a lock right on the spot. We shopped around to the other places in southie/Dorchester and seaport is the best in terms of logistics, hours, and customer service. Highly recommended! read more

Entered my unit to find rodents had eaten through many documents that can't be replaced. It took 6 days and a follow up call to receive a phone call explaining to me that they hire exterminators and they will need to look at this. Convenient location from Theater District. Online reservation process is efficient. I did not have issues reserving a unit. The facility is very clean and well lit - seems like an office or apartment building with many garage doors. Jay - the office manager - was very helpful upon arrival. I just moved my things into the unit so this review reflects satisfaction with the facility and reservation administration. I hired Hill and Sons on two different dates. The first was to move me into a small office and the second was to move me into a three bedroom house!! I loved their attitudes and I had by far one of the best customer service experiences that I have had in a while. They were kind, friendly, hard working and reasonably priced. They packaged everything with no scratches! We went from Dedham to Revere and it was very affordable. I hope to use this family friendly company again soon and I encourage anyone with any job big or small to check them out! read more

This is my second time using this storage facility - the first time was in August/September to hold my stuff between a move - and I definitely recommend it.Both times I booked online or over the phone and was checked in at the office by Jessica. She was friendly and helpful by walking me to the unit to check it out and make sure it was what I wanted, then getting me set up with a lock and information about the facilities. The building looks pretty new it's kept nice and clean. Both times I've gotten promotions through CubeSmart with the first month free and some kind of discount on the monthly rent. I live in Mission Hill and I feel like the drive over to South Boston is worth it for this place. read more

I am a first time customer and subscribed to a storage locker last weekend. The automated kiosk let me sign up and get my lock without speaking with anyone at the desk, and I was able to move my items into the loading bay and upstairs without any problems. The flat beds that were provided were helpful to move my heavy items. Gary from the front desk stopped by to say hello and give me a tour of the facility. I was not aware of the perks that were provided, outside of the clean and well light storage facility. read more

DO NOT ORDER A UHAUL FROM THIS LOCATION. We had an 11am appointment on Sunday, showed up and waiting for AN HOUR without anyone showing up to open the store nor give us keys. Called their phone number, with no answer, called UHaul corporate, who were 0% helpful. Apparently, because this is a "branch" not an actual UHaul store, they are hardly involved, unable to contact anyone to come help us or really be helpful at all. Would have liked a reimbursement, or at least a follow up call. Instead, we paid another 10 dollars for an Uber to the next Uhaul location, the full charge there, and got to move in the peak heat of a July afternoon. Thank you EStreet Uhaul. read more

Fantastic service, prepaid my shipping supplies, all available as expected. Gave update that he continually refreshes inventory, so that if some things not online in the store will quickly be replenished by the time you probably come into the store. Great suggestions, and gave tips how to optimize my move. They have a nice clean facility, especially if you were needing to arrange storage rental. With all the new condos/apartments popping up in the Seafront area, this is a great location. Best customer service: when I called for a mini-van cab to come pick me up with my boxes, they still hadn't arrived after 1 hr 20 min. Cube Smart in the Seaport area of Boston is one of the best storage facilities I have done business with. The units are clean and new. They provide wifi and business office services (computers, printers and conference room). Both Jessica and Alanna are so helpful and friendly.
