Giant scratch marks on my nail from the nail drill.

For starters I never write reviews but my experience at this salon made me so angry that I felt the need to write a review. When I walked in I told the receptionist that I wanted a french manicure. The receptionist sat me down and she started working on my nails, and every thing was all right until I saw her take out the nail dremel. I was obviously confused why she was using the dremel on my nails because the dremel is used for acrylics and attaching tips to your nails. I hate when they use the nail drill on my nails, but I figured it was normal procedure at their salon. After the receptionist finished filing my nails she get the UV light out, and it was at this point that I decided to ask her what she was doing. (I should remind you that the woman who was working on my nails was also the woman who was working the reception desk.) The woman told me the UV light was for drying my gel nails. (Again I had asked for a regular french manicure) I reiterated to her what I wanted and she started to paint my nails with the white, and she used the acetone to make clean lines. Except the lines are not clean, they are not strait and she missing large spots of my nail with the white polish. I am so embarrassed to be walking around with these awful nails. I'm going to immediately remove them when I get home. I do not think that the woman who did my nails was qualified, but when I went to the salon my mom got a pedicure and she is very satisfied. I would say that my personal experience was awful because of the woman who did my nails but the other employees seem to know what they were doing.

This is the best place to get you nails done in the area, hands down. Lisa is so friendly and accommodating, not to mention amazingly skilled. They facility is clean, modern and bright and their prices can't be beat. Everyone who works here is always so friendly and upbeat, I always have a nice time in addition to getting top notch not services. I have never had a bad experience and highly recommend Boston Nails.

Best gel manicure of my life. Went with my mom about a month ago and our nails are still perfect and no chipping. Very good prices too!

Yesterday I went in for a mani and pedi. I asked for a Lincoln Park After Dark dip on my hands. The manicurist was struggling with the powder not drying, and kept having to redo it. I asked her several times if I should pick another color and she said no each time. By the end, my nails still had uneven spots so she said not to worry she was going to put gel on it. She actually proceeded to put gel polish and top coat on top of my nails with the powder on them. I really didn't want gel on my hands but I didn't complain because I had sat there for so long. Last evening, I saw that most of my nails had large smudges on them. I emailed the salon and when I never got a reply, I went in this morning to have them repaired. I spoke to the owner and said I thought I just needed a new color because there was something not right with what I had got. She wanted to rewrap all of the smudged nails and I had no interest in doing the gel thing again- I don't want gel and I payed for a dip powder. I said I knew I didn't have an appt and might need to wait a bit or come back in a few- she actually had the gaul to ask me to come back on Friday. Today is Wednesday, New Year's Eve. I told her I could not wait til Friday and would need to go somewhere else to have it repaired. Well, she didn't seem to care at all so I left. Guess what? I will never be back and I won't be sending anyone to her place again.
