I never leave bad reviews, but this was probably the worst manicure I have ever gotten in my life. I used to go to Boston Nail but I have since found a new place. I only came today out of convenience. I already had a full set, but I had one broken nail and two nails that I didn't really like the color of, and Boston Nail was right across the street from where I was coming from. I'm pretty sure the woman who did my nails was the owner. She put the three tips on and all three were crooked, but one of them was especially bad. I politely told her that it was pretty crooked, and instead of fixing it she told me that it was because my natural nail grew that way and she was just following that. That may very well be true, but first of all, I've gotten tips hundreds of times and they have never o been this crooked. Second, I've never had a nail tech make an excuse instead of fixing their mistake. Third, even if the natural nail grows crooked, the tip can easily be applied so that it looks straight. Not only are all three crooked, but they are also lumpy, and none of them match the shape of the other seven nails. read more

Boston Nail is OK; average however, I am leaning towards below average. I stopped in on a whim to get a pedicure and ended up also getting a full set manicure. The folks were nice but I found it super weird one of them did their own nails while I was getting mine done (felt unprofessional). My nails did turn out nice hence the 3-stars. The establishment could use a good deep cleaning. I question the cleanliness of this place because when the pedicure tech worked on my feet, the towels looked dirty and had some kind of yellow stain. Hands down the best pedicure I've had in the last 5+ years. Get the spa version - so worth it. Place is so clean, so thorough, so well done. Worst mani/pedicure ever!! They didn't even use a proper cuticle remover, also no tool for removing the dead skin. Apparently, the scrub & buffer should do the magic?! Also, the lady who did my manicure, clipped my skin & it bled a lot. To hide it from the owner, she asked me to put my fingers in a bowl of water, without even cleaning the wound. She kept saying "it's okay", which is even more annoying!! After all the drama, my nails were not filed nicely, the shape was uneven & bad. This is a crappy place with unprofessional bunch of people. For starters I never write reviews but my experience at this salon made me so angry that I felt the need to write a review. When I walked in I told the receptionist that I wanted a french manicure. The receptionist sat me down and she started working on my nails, and every thing was all right until I saw her take out the nail dremel. I was obviously confused why she was using the dremel on my nails because the dremel is used for acrylics and attaching tips to your nails. I hate when they use the nail drill on my nails, but I figured it was normal procedure at their salon. After the receptionist finished filing my nails she get the UV light out, and it was at this point that I decided to ask her what she was doing. (I should remind you that the woman who was working on my nails was also the woman who was working the reception desk.) The woman told me the UV light was for drying my gel nails. (Again I had asked for a regular french manicure) I reiterated to her what I wanted and she started to paint my nails with the white, and she used the acetone to make clean lines. Except the lines are not clean, they are not strait and she missing large spots of my nail with the white polish. I am so embarrassed to be walking around with these awful nails. I'm going to immediately remove them when I get home. I do not think that the woman who did my nails was qualified, but when I went to the salon my mom got a pedicure and she is very satisfied. I would say that my personal experience was awful because of the woman who did my nails but the other employees seem to know what they were doing. read more

Really nice place and very clean! I called the night before and they were willing to see us first thing in the morning. They are very efficient and mine and my daughters nails came out great! I went in to get a gel manicure the other day and I will not return. My fingers got hatched. The nail polish is as thick as I have ever seen gel nail polish. And my actual fingers right near my nail beds are still red, as the manicurist could not keep the polish right on my nails. As of right now my fingers are still throbbing and my cuticles are clearly infected. Never again. read more

I went in for a pedicure and gel manicure. I walked in and nobody greeted me. I had to say hello very loudly to get any service. The lady who did my nails was nice but she rushed through. She barely got rid of any of my cuticles. She left polish around the edges of my toenails. And my fingernails are not even shaped nicely. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. read more

I pay for quality and they missed the bar. I love getting a nail dip because it lasts more than 2 weeks. However I already had to go back the day after I got my nails done because not even 24 hours later my thumb cracked. Now, three days later I see my index finger has a big chip. Recently relocating from Seattle to Massachusetts meant, among other things, finding a new nail salon. While at a local restaurant I noticed the bartender had great nails so I asked her recommendation. She said Boston Nails. Every aspect of this place is on point. The atmosphere is modern, yet warm and inviting. I received a full set of acrylics with gel and a polish change on my toes. She did amazing on both. Perfect. I regretfully didn't get her name. I've gotten nail tips for 30 years and this establishment ranks very high on the list. When going without nail tips for a while I typically go into a salon to get a full set and my nails are pretty beat up. I'm a biter, and chew my cuticles something awful. I dread going to get a full set because Im usually greeted with fake smiles while knowingly being degraded amongst staff in their native language. I have lived all over the country and this happens 99% of the time. Not here. When I apologized for the horrific state of my nails she told me she was there to help, and she loved my ring. Soft Tissue Injury to the Arch of my Foot - I had a pedicure appointment on July 17, and the result was the best-looking pedicure I have ever had. The pedicurist worked quietly with her head down until the foot massage, when she looked right at me and painfully dug both thumbs in the arch of my foot, causing a soft tissue injury that I still have. I reacted to the pain with my whole body and told her to stop. She wanted to repeat the motion first on the same foot and then on the other foot, so I had to tell her to stop twice more. I consider myself a nail salon connessoir after nearly 15 years of getting manicures and pedicures regularly at many salons throughout the metro Boston area. I can say confidently that Boston Nail is the best nail salon in the Maynard-Acton-Stow area and rivals places in Boston and Waltham. The place is brand new so everything is clean and updated with good air quality (doesn't even smell like a nail salon). Also, not a lot of customers yet so the experience is quiet and relaxing. Amazingly good massage chairs for the pedi, lots of massage during the service, and flawless application of the polish. My feet feel soft and look great! Their gel manicure is equally as good--it has lasted longer than any other I have gotten in the past. The prices are about the same as other salons. As a Stow resident, I am very happy I no longer have to rush to get my nails done at a not-as-good place in Waltham while I am on my lunch hour. Boston Nail is my new go-to salon! read more
