This is my second visit to Summer Nails-nude with neon green tip (just discovered them in May) and I am beyond pleased about my gel manicure. The manicure I got in May (black with gold flecks, my friend got multiple pastels for her manicure) lasted 6 weeks without any lifting. Very nice family but their polishes are all watered down. One day after my visit, I went on vacation and my gel manicure was cracked and breaking, and my pedicure was dull, bubbled-up, and literally flaking off after one day. I tried to combat the mess with clear-coat, but it was too late. I was so embarrassed. Everyone around me had sparkly beautiful manis and pedis. There was also an infestation of ants next to the first pedicure chair. The garbages were overflowing. Tools were not sanitized. Gloves were recycled between customers. The sink was filthy. There was a horrible smell. Counters were dusty and dirty along with the UV light machines. I don't like leaving reviews like this, especially for a family business, but I paid $75 for horrible work, horrible polish, and unsanitary conditions. Sorry, and beware. read more

I used to come here often for manicures. They've hired new staff since I was last there and the girl who did my nails made me bleed so much and left scratches on the top of my feet from buffing with a nail-file like object (an object WAY too rough to be scrubbing on the tops of someone's feet). Instead of apologizing, she kept telling me I had sensitive skin--basically blaming me for her roughness, but I've never had my fingers or toes bleed like that when getting a mani pedi before. It didn't really register to me how much she dug up my cuticles until I went home and saw them in better light. She used that salon antibacterial solution on them at least. If I had seen them like this when I was in the salon, I would not have paid for them. They're that bad. I really hope they don't get infected. They've been burning and stinging ever since I left and some even started bleeding again since the skin is so raw. That being said, both James and the woman who did my nails seemed to be very kind people. I messed up two of my toes after she did my pedicure and she fixed them after I told her and was very nice about it which I appreciated. Also, they ONLY accept cash now. If you're a business only accepting cash you need to let your customers be aware of that beforehand. Luckily I had my debit card with me so I could use their atm (with a fee of course) but very inconvenient. I don't plan on coming back. read more

Everybody here was really nice. But I was charged $50 for a gel "pedicure". This was the most pathetic pedicure I ever got. They have an express pedicure which is cheaper...I was charged for the more expensive pedicure and didn't even receive all the described aspects of the express pedicure. My pedicure consisted of soaking my feet. Less than one minute of scrubbing my feet on each foot, applied lotion and applied gel to my nails. There was no massaging the lotion, no massaging the feet, and almost no scrubbing the feet or removing the dead skin. I still needed a pedicure after my pedicure. read more

Hello I moved to Leominster recently and I was thinking why not to go to summer nails so I spent hours waiting then finally they talked to me so I got my feet done and I went home then the next day the panit stared to come off so I called the place and nobody answered the whole day my nails came off in 4 days after I recommend u to not go there this is to your own risk of nails to let you know one of the lady's amolst made me bleed. I don't understand how this place has such high reviews. Literally THE WORST time getting my pedicure and nails done. They both look horrible. I wasted 2 and a half hours of my life and $100.I ran late cause of a hair appointment, tried to call ahead but while I was there I noticed they just let the phone ring the whole day. No one answer it. When I got there they said I didn't have a nail appointment scheduled but I did. I told them if they couldn't take me no problem but they said it was ok. The guy doing my pedicure rushed through, hurting me and almost burning me with the massage oil. I had to ask him to slow down and take it easy. He still didn't. The guy that did my nails had no clue what he was doing. They're bubbling like crazy and are nowhere close to what I wanted. Highly disappointed. Went back to ask them to help me fix them and the owner was trying to CHARGE me to fix them! Then blamed it on me that they look so shitty. Unbelievable. read more

I called the day before the make reservations for 3 pedicures on a Saturday afternoon. They got us in right on time and were able to do all of our pedis at the same time to get us in and out quickly. Be warned: I've never walked out halfway through a pedicure before. You know how they buff the bottom of your feet to smooth rough skin? He used dish soap. Is that soap, I asked? Yes, soap. Um, my feet were already clean when I walked in here, thanks. And by the way he attempted to use the tools, it was obvious he hadn't performed many pedicures before. I was nervous about what was coming next, so after the tub was literally FULL of bubbles, I told them I wasn't comfortable and would finish them myself at home. I've tried a lot of nail techs, no one has come close to the owner of this salon. I absolutely love the way she does my nails. She is super thorough with manicuring the nails, even with doing powder dip which other salons won't do, and I'm always happy with how they come out! The reason I only gave 3 stars is because cleanliness seems to have gone downhill (sink, bathroom, and nail brushes by sink). They seem to do well in terms of sanitizing tools but other areas definitely need more attention. There are other local salons that hit 5 stars with cleanliness in my eyes but actual satisfaction with nail service is much lower. If this salon can improve on this it would be 5 stars for me! read more

Had the deluxe manicure with Theary. Absolutely amazing work. Warm towel wraps, exfoliating, massage. Cuticles trimmed perfectly. When you walk in, you're greeted with a smile. Lots of color choices. The massage and lotions were amazing. The paint job was flawless. I just had a regular manicure but looking forward to doing a gel manicure next. I can't recommend this place enough. After searching far and wide for a great nail shop I stumbled upon this one here on yelp and I do not regret it one bit!! I walked in yesterday without an appointment but they made some room for me and I'm so happy they did!! You should definitely get an appointment prior to coming for guaranteed service. Elena was my nail tech and she was very attentive to my wants and needs and struck up good conversation while working. My feet are the softest they have been in a LONG time because she took her time and great care with my pedi and my hands never looked this good!! I will def. be returning. read more

Summer Nails is a great place. I've gone twice now for a manicure and pedicure after moving to the Leominster area the end of last summer. Teri, the owner, is very nice and welcoming. Unfortunately, I did not catch the name of the gentleman who did my nails this last time but he was incredible!!! He was very meticulous in his work and my nails came out fabulous! Probably the worst customer experience I've ever received. Don't bother making an appointment, they intentionally book over you and don't try to hide it. I booked 2 manicures for myself and my mother before Christmas and they took my mother 15 minutes late and told me I would be next after she was done???? In the mean time the accommodated walk-ins. After I complained and another 30 minutes later they told me they would fit me in. I declined and I'll never go back. Horrible ownership, however the manicurist (not owner) was very apologetic. Ok so I was desperately in need of a good mani/pedi. I'm from the north shore and my boyfriend lives out near Leominster. I looked on yelp for the best nail salon in the area and I came across this salon. It had a lot of stars so I thought why not give it a try. I had an appointment for 1:30 pm and I showed up right on time. I legit waited for 20 minutes before anyone starting doing my actual pedicure. The girl that did my nails legit went so slow, and then someone else came and took over. The guy who did my nails was too rough with his hands while doing my nails, and my nail was bleeding. He didn't give me anything to help the bleeding. The staff was very nice,but I just felt I wasn't satisfied with my overall experience.Safe to say I will not be returning back and I will find another nail salon when I'm in the area again. read more

My mom and I just had Hot Stone Pedicures for Mother's Day and it was sublime. Totally relaxing. The salon is super clean and everyone who works there was incredibly nice. I will definitely be back. I am 54 years old and asked my son for a pedicure for Mothers Day. I have never had a pedicure in my life. When i entered, I was not greeted or acklowledged for a good 5 minutes, even though it was a scheduled appointment. While in my chair, other patrons entered and were greeted immediatly. I will say I enjoyed the experience, however when I left, I noticed nail polish on my skin and missing polish on the tip of my nail. I will say that with only two technicians/owners? He bought the business in Feb and said he KNEW there were outstanding gift cards he needed to honor. It was only Dec '14 gift card.
