Terrible customer service - food was 45 minutes later than quoted for delivery and when I called to check on it the girl said she realized she didn't give the delivery driver the shakes we ordered. She said it was due to the machine not working but then asked if I wanted to pick them up. So which is it you screwed up the order or the machine is broken? I don't appreciate being lied to. No wonder the reviews are so terrible everything was cold and we didn't get 1/2 our order. The food is good at other Boston burgers and we've ordered from Cambridge no problem but this was pretty terrible and I can't see ever going back there which is a shame because I do love the menu. read more

Came here with 3 other dudes between class around 5 to get the insanely cheap 420 burger deal. Obviously the burger was amazing and delicious, but also the service was quick and efficient!!! Definitely a cramped space but great service and great food! I went on a Sunday and parking was a breeze at a nearby lot. They had their windows open and the airflow was great for covid concerns. All staff kept their masks on properly. I was worried about the wait time per other reviews but we received our orders in a very reasonable time. The options of burgers are phenomenal and essentially endless since you can opt to create your own. I got the killer bee; which was a stack of fried onion rings glazed in bbq, stacked like a bee hive on a burger with cheese and the patty. The Mac Attack was more than I could eat and, disappointingly, looked better than it tasted. The layer of mac & cheese was burned on the bottom which significantly diminished its flavor and that of the burger overall. Service by Krystell was friendly and appropriately attentive. Eh... I'm not sure what the hype over this place is, but it honestly isn't very good. The wait times can be long, but we got rather lucky on a Sunday night with a less than 10 minute wait. We ordered Fried Mac n Cheese Bites, a Nutella Milkshake, and I got an Alpine Burger. Everything just tasted either salty or greasy, and the milkshake was just overly sweet to the point where I could only manage a few sips before not drinking anymore. I will say the chips were pretty good that came with the burger, but other than that, it was honestly just so disappointing. This place really fills up on weekend nights! It's a small place so you can leave your name and number and they text you when your table is ready so you can wander Davis square while you wait. The burgers are really creative and impossibly filling. They also leave me feeling super heavy and lethargic after - but anything is worth for good food I guess lol. I got the 420 which has literally every fried food imaginable on it. My friend got the Vermonter which had fried apples in it which was super new but still tasty. I like this place a lot. Now that I think of it, I don't come here as much as I would imagine I would, especially because I really like Davis and come to this area a lot. The burgers here are really good. There's a ton of choice, and they make the choice really difficult because every burger description sounds amazing. For example there's spicy ones which sound really cool, lots that are G'ed up with bacon, BBQ sauce, mozzarella sticks, cheeses, vegetables of all kinds, peanut butter. I don't really remember all the ones I've tried but there's no one that you can go wrong with. The patties are juicy, fatty, and spot on. On weekdays they have (had?) the 4:20 special where you get the 420 burger for $4.20 which is a fantastic deal because it's normally $13. But I'd pay $13 too. read more

Absolutely delicious. My wife and I came this afternoon. She surprised me with a visit here since I was craving a burger! The burgers are very reasonably priced and they have a lot of choices, which I'm excited to try. I got the burger bomb, and like the name, it was the bomb. I am lactose intolerant and the cheese didn't put me off one bit, in fact it was incredible. The patty was perfectly cooked and the bun was delicious, my only complaint was that the onion was slightly cold but that's no big deal to me. At first I was skeptical that the burgers came with chips since you usually expect fries, but the chips were delicious. They were homemade and very well made, it doesn't make you miss fries! It also came with either slaw or beans, I chose beans. I don't usually like beans or slaw but the beans were ok in my opinion so I'm sure others will like them! My wife had a salad and it was huge! The grilled chicken was hot and fresh and it was delicious looking! Overall this place is great and we will definitely return. The food is fresh. The huge milkshakes here are a great treat, wouldn't do it often but it is definitely a yummy treat! The Davis Square location is cozy little location right near the train stop. There is street parking. The Kitchen Sink burger was delicious and I could barely finish half of it because we had the milkshake first (dessert first ) but both the burger and milkshake was yummy. Root beer was good. Portions were big. I would have preferred some fries with my burger instead of the chips, which were just thick & hard. My tips are: avoid peak times, go with party of four, most of the appetisers and fancy fries would feed four people, so you can sample a bigger range from the menu. They had given us a wait time of 30-45 minutes for three people on a Saturday afternoon. I didn't mind that. They took our phone number while we walked around town. I am a 'Ride or Die' fan of DIves, Diners and Drive-Ins, so on a recent trip to Boston, I had to try Boston Burger. My only question now, is why? Why did I even waste my time? Upon entry we were told that it would be a 45 min. wait by someone who appeared to be real busy doing nothing. However, another receptionist was very nice and stated that there were five reservations in front of us, but that she didn't think it would be long at all! Within 10 mins., my phone was ringing saying that our table was ready! It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon, and I most certainly thought that we would have to wait! WRONG! Then, it all went downhill. The waitress was like Casper the 'Busy' Ghost! I'm not sure if she knew that she was a waitress, because she acted as if she was on a runway hiding from PAPARAZZI! There was nothing extraordinary about the burgers, except for the many varieties of toppings: the good, the bad and the unusual! The meat was not seasoned, leaving it rather bland! You would think that the meat is SO IMPORTANT due to it being a burger place and all. NEGATIVE! The sides of beans or cole slaw were so SUPER SMALL, that a toddler would have still been hungry. #babyportions Not to mention the watered down Pepsi! The homemade chips are FLAVORLESS, just deep fried with NO seasoning! I've been craving a good, hearty burger and Boston Burger Co had it all! They had all kinds of burgers, indoor/outdoor dining are available along with take out! I cameb by on a Friday night. I wish the website had the option to order online for pick up, I felt bad that I had to call and didn't have my order set yet...she definitely was expected a call from someone who knew exactly what they wanted. At the end of the call I was told it should be done in 25 minutes but it took around 45 minutes total, so plan accordingly. There's lots of people around the front and there was quite a few walking in and out the small hallway when I attempted to pick up 3 times. It definitely is a popular location. Love that the burgers come with chips and the garlic parm fries here were perfection! I would definitely come here again, I only wish there was delivery to me haha read more

When I saw the Mac Attack on Food Network, this place was on my to go list for the longest time. I finally got to try this place today and I was not disappointed. This place is super casual with small TVs around. There also a few seats outside. I got the Mac attack and my boyfriend got the hot mess. The Mac attack had bacon (yas) but unfortunately it was a bit too crispy for my preference. The burger was super juicy and the Mac was on point. It wasn't exactly how I remembered it on tv but I was still satisfied. More cheesiest wouldn't hurt! The Hot Mess on the other hand was so good. The sauce and toppings was a flavorful combo - esp if you like thousand island. I have a low spicy tolerance but the spice was just the right amount (aka not really spicy). The burgers are enough to fill us up but I had to get the #freakfrappes because they're so hard to find in Boston! I got the Oreo frappe and it was super sweet. They don't kid around with the chocolate sauce and whip creme. I took pics for proof! I did see some extravagant frappes from the other locations so I was surprised this one only offered the 3 flavors. Regardless it was a nice treat and I would go back and try the other flavors. I ordered the Macaroni and Cheese, The Roots Burger and, the Chicken Pesto Sandwich. The M&C was pretty creamy and from what I could tell was a real cheese sauce. It was a cozy meal that I would love on a winter day. The Roots Burger was an award-winning burger, therefore, I had to test it out. It had a great chipotle mayo sauce (I think) and the burger was as juicy as you'd expect from a good burger joint. Lastly, the Chicken Pesto Sandwich was on homemade focaccia bread that was phenomenal. I would absolutely order it again. read more

There were a few public parking lots but they were not big and filled. I lucked out for a Saturday night and found one spot. Beside that the walk from out parking wasn't bad. The atmosphere was lively outside the restaurant With Live music from a street performer. We waited about and hour for a table for 6. But once we got in the service was quick and nice. The food was delicious. I got the chicken club. Which is chicken cutlet sandwich with mayo,bacon tomato and lettuce. Simple yet good. My friends got burgers and we're very satisfied. The fried pickles In the sampler are yummy as well. They are long pieces instead of short chips. There French fries reminded me of KFC. Potato wedge style. Overall the food was very good. That bull's solid product, and the Inferno setup showcases it well. Suggestions to the Mgmt: - The burgers come with your house-made chips and either beans or slaw. Thank you. But consider taking the massive, made-for-two sides of fries (currently running $4 for plain, up to $7 dressed), lopping the portion in half and charging two or three bucks to replace the chips. Some kids just want that infamous duo and don't feel like shelling out $16 (sixteen dollars) for a burger & fry meal they simply cannot finish alone. - Split the mayo smear on the top and bottom halves of the bun. Your junk is juicy (great!) which disintegrates the lower bread (not great!) - Tell the tall, faux-brooding server with the studded belt and a penchant for laughing at her own writing that I have a crush on her. I've been to this spot a couple of times now and my experiences there have been rather inconsistent. On my first visit there I decided to get a salad and it was rather disappointing. A sad excuse of a salad if I've ever seen one. But more recently, I returned to this place to meet a friend of mine for lunch and decided that I would not leave this place until I tried one of their burgers. After much hesitation in trying to pick my burger as they have a pretty varied selection of them (24 of them to be exact), I decided to skip their Hawaiian themed one which featured pineapple and instead get a pretty classic and favorite of mine: a blue cheese burger, medium. As a side, I didn't try anything fancy and settled for sweet potato fries although they do offer a few interesting takes on it by offering a bunch of options like having your fries with cajun seasoning or buffalo cheese, or even a lemon pepper coating. I thought that was rather unique and interesting. The black and bleu burger arrived a few minutes later and the patty was coated in some cajun seasoning which provided a nice, spicy contrast to the soothing blue cheese. It was actually rather tasty and the burger was cooked nicely. The bun wasn't all that great and the condiments weren't all that great. I actually had to remove almost half of my leaf of lettuce which stuck out like a sore thumb - Maybe it's my OCD but I felt like the attention to detail was inconsistent. The service was minimal, just present enough to take our order, bring it a few minutes later, and clear our check after the meal. It wasn't all that friendly but it was somewhat efficient. Note that they have a television with sports on and a pretty decent beer selection considering the size of the place. There's like... 10 tables, 15 at most and it's all rather cramped but pretty pleasant. Would I go there again? Sure, why not, it is after all conveniently located in Davis Square itself but is it any good? It's average and has nothing compared to the delicious burgers at R.F. I'd say this is a hidden gem but it's right there in Davis Square! God, I love my neighborhood. After wanting to try BBC for a while I finally went on a quiet Tuesday night and had a great meal. First off, the service was excellent. Our server was super friendly, nice, and effervescent. The restaurant, while small, was clean and tidy. You can see the kitchen, which is cool. I was expecting the place to reek of meat or be stifling hot, neither was true. Ok, on to the burger! I got the turkey bomb burger. It WAS the bomb! Huge hand packed burger, juicy and cooked perfectly. The smothered mushrooms, peppers, and onions were super tasty and the cheese gooey and yummy. We had a side of fries which were HUGE. Seasoned perfectly and really tasty. We had an order of boneless wings too which were unbelievable. I didn't think it could get better than Wings Over Somerville but these were great - perfectly cooked, moist, delicious terodactyl sauce, and creamy bleu cheese. I've been here a few times and there have always been a few things too nitpick. Their burgers might be either over or under-seasoned, the onion rings are soggy, cold, and doughey, buns are under-toasted, service is inconsistent. Don't be surprised if orders are messed up and it takes a bit of patience to get the staff's attention. I once somehow ended up with a veggie patty in a bacon burger... Tasty Burger has better burgers. Two redeeming qualities of this place: sweet potato fries and the cole slaw. The patty: cooked medium rare the way I like. And that was probably the only good thing about my burger. Their description: sweet potato fries, American cheese, chopped pickles, jalapeños, bacon, red onion, shredded lettuce and thousand island dressing. My burger DROWNED in sauce and the flavor of the thousand island wasn't too special. I tasted none of the other ingredients listed. I even opened up my patty to see if I could find any other ingredients - I think they must have pureed it into the sauce or not added it at all because ALL I SAW WAS SAUCE and tiny slivers of green here and there - pickles? Jalapenos? The burger wasn't seasoned AT ALL. Bland and disappointing. Did they even bother adding salt or pepper? Usually, juicy flavorful burgers give me some satisfaction but this one didn't do it for me in any way and I'm wondering if I got the same burger that won the Boston Magazine Battle of the Burger and was featured on the Rachael Ray Show. Really?? Whoever's judging needs to check out DNB Burgers in New Bedford or try a burger at The Met Back Bay. I was too stuffed halfway through my meal (I had lots of snacks prior to coming here for dinner) so I had my burger and untouched chips and remaining slaw wrapped up.
