Texas Takeover!! Had to check out their Texas takeover during the Orange International Street Fair. Made reservations ahead of time and we were seated promptly. Service was great overall with friendly staff ready to recommend their specials. They redecorated the interior with Texas flags and other Texas inspired decor. Between that, the country music playing over the speakers, and the cowboy hats everywhere it was a fun experience! We started with the crab stuffed cheesy mushroom caps which were seriously cheesy. We had to wrap the cheese around the spoon just to get a bite! Then we had the Tex-Mex wedge salad which was very fresh and delicious. We had to try the Skillet Honey Butter Cornbread with Salted Maple + Jalapeño Butter. All I can say is wow, the combo of sweet, spicy, and savory was amazing. I pretty much ate the whole thing myself with no regrets! Katie got the coffee rubbed new york and I got the prime rib. Her steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and had a great crust from the coffee rub. My prime rib was a bit overdone for my liking and didn't have a ton of flavor from the Texas rub, but it was still really good. We washed it down with a couple cocktails that went perfectly with the meal. Thanks for the fun times Bosscat!!

We came here for happy hour. They got a pretty nice selections of food and drinks to choose from. I had a mule to drink. We ordered fried pickles, Korean fried chicken sliders and beef ribs grilled cheese. I loved the sliders and the grilled cheese. I also enjoyed the crunchy fried pickles without the middle part. The ones with the middle part were soggy and mushy. I didn't like those at all. Our waiter was nice. The place is big and modern. I was told that they saved some decors from the previous liquor store. I liked the whisky room as well. I'd come back when I'm in the area again.

Thank you Amanda for the friendly and funny service! We enjoyed having you around. Their gravy train was good but the portion of protein was very small in comparison to the rest of the entree. Can't imagine it without the added in eggs. I will continue to return but I would try something else. Quick service for our group of 5!

Bosscat kitchen is a good place to go for a drink or full meal. The service from beginning to end is always good and the inside is nice, but sometimes the music is too loud. Food Spinach and artichoke egg rolls 2/5: they came out luke warm and had a sauce that didn't have any flavor even when dunking the entire egg roll in it. Tomato and burrata jam 4/5: the bread was fantastic and the flavor of the overall dish was nice. This however is not a jam and it was more like a soup. I wish the "jam" was thicker. Sugar barrel steak 4/5: the steak was perfect and had a crisp layer on the edges of it that I want more of. The green beans as a side were good and the Yukon gold potato's as a side were okay. The steak had a butter on it that was a little too lemony, but overall the dish was good. Drink Daily dose 5/5: this cocktail was light and perfectly made with hints of mint and cucumber it was perfect for a summer evening.

Service was good and food was really good! Pig candy was decent, but I would probably opt for a different appetizer next time. The 12-hour beef short rib was amazing. Really soft and flavorful. Sugar barrel steak was good too

Great service, vibes, drinks & ambiance! Sat at the bar for drinks and appetizers. How can you go wrong with tots and fries with some of the best ranch ever!? Yumm! The pineapple sage elixir was bright and fruity, had a great balance. The Nighthawk was the start of the show for me. A great take on an Expresso Martini! Looking forward to returning for dinner, im sure it won't disappoint!

They also had complimentary baby wipes!

Food was phenomenal! Banh Mi was a little bit bbq-y and a lot-a-bit fresh! Philly was a tad too salty, that was the only bummer of the visit. The rolls for these sandwiches were soft and chewy but held up well for the toppings. The fries are house wedges, which are a pleasant contrast to the usual steak or shoestring. One of the best tasting burgers around. The meat is high quality and well-seasoned. Spinach dip egg rolls were delicious. Chicken and cheese dip was fire. Beignets were on the thicker side, still bomb. Everything was kinda messy, but excellent! Service was fantastic! They were on top of refills and answered any and all questions, despite being fairly busy. Ambiance was super chill. Fun, farmhouse bar chic. Decor was a hit. Will definitely be back!

Overall, this spot is a 3.5/5. Great atmosphere, lively dining area, great bar scene, TVs for sports, and friendly community vibe. The burger big, good, but just an average burger and nothing really special. Beef dip sandwich was really a cheesesteak, had great flavor and sharp cheese which made its super delicious. The bun was a bit dry and too much bread to meat ratio. Great service, we enjoy our server, she was friendly and attentive.

What a great brunch spot in Orange! Our server, Monica, was fantastic and kept our ice tea refills going. We arrived around 11am and the restaurant does have indoor courtyard seating which allows pets so we brought our dog. The menu was a neat throwback too with pricing that reflected all brunch items under $20 and Bloody Mary's for $5. The only thing that they could improve would be the outdoor chairs, some padding would go a long way to make the chairs more comfortable and improve the overall experience. The breakfast burrito was good too, would have liked salsa but they removed that option and added a crema instead. Their homemade ketchup was good too

My date is new to the OC area. Made reservations for brunch at a nearby restaurant. That didn't go well. He noticed this cute spot and we decided to check it out. We were seated upon arrival. Food was great and the drinks even better! We ordered the Prime Rib Phillip and the Chicken Bacon Wrap. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable. Definitely our new Lunch Date spot at the orange circle.‍‍‍

    Blood Orange Paloma

I went to Bosscat Kitchen & Libations years ago, and I think some of the menu items have changed since then. I still love the decor, there are a lot of unique and interesting items throughout the restaurant. I decided to have a cocktail with dinner since we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. I ordered the Blood Orange Paloma and my husband had a tequila soda. Given the libations name, I expected the cocktails would be especially delicious and creative, but I was disappointed in both the taste and presentation. My drink tasted more like a regular paloma, and I didn't pick up a blood orange taste. It was topped with a fresh lime, and I think the grapefruit soda overpowered the drink. They also had two tequila blanco options: lalo and espolon. Our favorite item for the night was the burger smashies appetizer. They are three mini smash burgers, with pickles on the side, and they provide mustard and ketchup when you ask. I had the spicy rigatoni and my husband ordered the pan seared salmon. I thought my pasta was good and I liked the ricotta. My husband liked his salmon and he said the greens on the side were delicious. The charred lemon also gave the salmon a nice flavor. Service felt a little mixed during our visit. There were a couple of moments where the waitress came across as a bit sarcastic, though I'm not totally sure if I was reading it right. I think she may have overheard me mention to my husband that I didn't love my drink. When she came to check on it, I said it was fine. I don't really send drinks back, especially if that is how they make their blood orange paloma. I don't like wasting it or expecting something different. After that, the interaction felt a little off. At the end of the meal, it also took a while to get our check. She cleared our plates and it was probably about 15 minutes before she came back to take our card.

    Chilaquiles
    Jenna A.

Bosscat is absolutely DELICIOUS. Their brunch menu is all under $20 (totally unheard of no-a-days). Their Beignets are incredible, and I am now a huge fan of chilaquiles. Not pictured but also worth it: the blueberry brunch item & the cinnamon roll. Owners and staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and gave plenty of recommendations. Perfect place to celebrate, chat with your loved ones, and enjoy a delicious brunch. Lots of seating (indoor and outdoor). I am looking forward to coming back and trying the non-brunch as well ... after I have the brunch 4 more times!

    Is there gluten free options?

    Yes

Is it loud inside where one has to talk loud to b heard?

They do have music playing, but we had a side booth and everyone could hear each other pretty well.

    Do they serve Easter brunch?

    I don't know

Is there live music Saturday nights? And what kind of music? Is it loud?

I don't recall music there. This is the one in Orange. There is also one in Irvine.

Is the dinner menu available at lunchtime during the week?

    Check the website.

Is there still a mandatory 20% gratuity on each Check?

No. That was for street fair only. 20% will still be added to parties of 6 or more but that is all

So, you close at 230 on Saturday and reopen at 330?

Yes. We take an hour in between brunch and dinner to reset our kitchen due to having such high volume nights

    Are dogs allowed?

Yes. They have an outside patio, where you can take your dogs.

Does anyone know the Spotify playlist they play here?

The brunch playlist is flashback remix 2020 😊😊

    Are kids allowed?

Hello. Kids are always allowed. We do have some kid friendly options on our dinner and brunch menus.

Can you accommodate a group of 20 for dinner?

Hello, Unfortunately or orange location can not accommodate a party that size. Our Newport location is better equipped for parties this size. You can contact…

    Do they have bottomless mimosas?

I believe they do on Sundays.

Do you have patio seating? I have made a 12 noon reservation for lunch and would like to sit on the patio so I can bring my puppy. Thank you?…

We do have patio seating. Unfortunately I do have a table that seats 12 guests. We have to split the group up on multiple table to accommodate. But dogs are welcome.

What are the days and hours for Happy Hour? Can we make a reservation?

3pm-6pm. Yes you can but so far it hang been too busy.

First timer to this location, do they have Sunday brunch?

Yes we do. 10am to 2:30pm. Same offering as our Newport location.

Are there any Vegan options available?

Just called, they have one salad that can be made vegan but they have vegetarian options. Vegetarian options cannot be made vegan.…

How is the parking? Is there a designated lot? Main reason I steer away from the circle in Orange establishments which is unfortunate since there are so many good ones.

Hi! So we parked at the structure and walk to Bosscat. It wasn't a far walk. Parking wasn't an issue for us. It was on a week day around 2:00pm.

Will this location take part in the industry night like your Irvine location?

Not to start off. Industry night is going to be revisited and changed in both locations. As of now either location does not do industry night. We should have a new offering available by this summer

When are you opening in Orange?

Hello, we will opening to the public March 30th @3pm. We will start taking reservations on March 29th. We Will be opening for regular business hours on April 1st from 11 am to 11pm.

Funny, caring and was just an all around stand up guy. The decor was a nice 1950s throwback diner in a quansett hut. Formica tables, cool cutlery, diner chairs. Love the vibe. We went on a Friday morning when we had a rare day off. So it wasn't busy at all. Got there right when it opened so didn't have a problem getting a table, so I can't speak to a long wait. Got the breakfast burrito en mojado divorciado style. I read about it on some article. Comes with the green chile verde with the pulled pork and the red sauce with the brisket. I'm a FOMO guy so i wanted to try both. It was unsurprisingly an expensive dish. I got it with sausage inside, didn't really need the sausage cuz the thing was massive. I'm a big eater so it's unusual for me to not finish. That thing was delicious and would surely go back to try something else on a day when it's not busy. My wife got the french toast, to which she said was easily the best french toast she'd ever had. They use milk bread so it's extra tender and the center was super custardy and melt in your mouth. The berry topping was nicely tart giving a nice contrast from the sweet and creamy center and the cream topping was rich and delicious. Sure, it's diner food. Sure it's pricey, but you don't go every day or week. You might go once or twice a year and it's a treat for sure if not just for the company of the great wait staff. I don't usually post reviews because who the hell cares what I think, but I think its worth a try on a non busy day for sure. If you go on a busy day and you're in a rush then that's already a bad start to your experience anyways. Go early take your time and walk around. The neighborhood around there is quite nice.

I figured it would be the same great food in a different setting, but unfortunately, my experience was pretty disappointing. First, I want to say that the person who took my order was very nice and friendly. Customer service at the counter was pleasant, and I appreciated that. As for the Anaheim Packing District itself, it's definitely a vibe. The atmosphere is lively, there's live music, and it's a fun place to walk around and explore. That said, it is very loud. The live music adds to the energy, but if you're looking for a quieter meal or conversation, be prepared for a lot of noise. Now, onto the food. The biggest disappointment was the baked beans. They didn't just have a hint of chili flavor they tasted like an actual bowl of chili. I'm talking to the point where I felt like I should've been eating them with crackers, shredded cheese, and sour cream instead of alongside catfish. I've had Georgia's baked beans before at the Irvine location, and this was nothing like what I expected. I also requested my catfish to be fried soft, but it still came out fried hard. The fish wasn't terrible, but it definitely wasn't cooked the way I asked, and it ended up being drier than I prefer. The mac and cheese was another letdown. The noodles were very mushy, and it seemed like they were buried under a thick layer of cheese rather than being creamy and well-balanced. It just didn't have the texture or consistency I was hoping for. One thing I also noticed was that I didn't receive the complimentary cornbread that I've gotten at the Irvine location. Maybe that's only offered for dine-in or varies by location, I honestly don't know, but it was something I was expecting based on my previous experiences. Overall, this visit just didn't live up to the standard I've come to expect from Georgia's. Since I've had consistently good meals at the Irvine Spectrum location, I'm hoping this was just an off day for the Anaheim kitchen. Unfortunately, with the baked beans tasting like chili, the over-fried catfish, and the mushy mac and cheese all in one meal, I left feeling pretty disappointed. I still enjoy Georgia's as a restaurant, but after this experience, I'll be sticking with the Irvine Spectrum location.

The meatloaf was awesome and the sides were great all together.. I was so jealous, as I am a huge steak person and was more impressed with the meatloaf.. The server was awesome and very attentive. We stayed at the hotel behind the restaurant and thought this place would be good since it was close by.. I am not sure when we stay in the area again if we will be back..
