I decided to purchase food for my team. We work odd hours. I arrived at 445AM to a closed store. My mistake. I finished some work and went back at five doors open, racks full. I ordered a dozen. There is something special about a donut coming out still warm, that would inspire me to get up early every day! I ordered two of this, two of that, and two apple fritters. Price, under a buck each, and the box was warm in my hands. It's important to explain that I LOVE apple fritters I have tried them from dozens of places but never like this. The drive to my office was 10 minutes, so I had to smell the food all the way to the office. I couldn't wait to try the fritter. In fact I couldn't wait long enough to take a photo.... Next time. I lifted the fritter out of the box, it was so warm, and bent slightly in my hand. The first bite was AMAZING. I couldn't put it down. I desperately wanted to claim the other fritter, as the first lasted a mere minutes. I felt guilty wanting it but we'll, it was that good. As I exited my office, one of my managers walked in and exclaimed, DONUTS! I waited patiently while he opened the box, perused the donuts, and selected the fritter. Ouch. But ok. I really wanted to like this place...I really did. With the claim of it being the best in Arizona I would have to disagree. I don't know if it had just been a really busy morning but I stopped in about 1PM and all that was left was a boatload of buttermilk bars, a few apple fritters, and a few glazed. Now thankfully I was stopping in to get all three of these so that was no big deal but I was hoping to get more variety (because I was buying a dozen). I ended up with 4 buttermilk bars, two apple fritters, and a glazed -- it was very nice of them to add in an extra buttermilk bar so thank you! The donuts were alright. Nothing special about them. I guess I was just so disappointed in the selection that it didn't make the donuts taste much better. Considering they are open the entire day I guess I would expect there to be a variety of donuts available all day. Probably won't be coming back but it was worth a shot. read more

We tried BoSa during their opening weekend. The donuts were really great..big, fluffy and fresh! The interior of the shop is no frills-plenty of donut varieties to choose from in the cases. The drink case was fully stocked with a big selection which is also nice. There was no line since we went fairly late in the evening and the staff was friendly. Donuts were very fresh, even though it was late! We'll try their breakfast sandwiches on another visit. We're happy this is in our neighborhood..seems like we'll be coming here often. read more

Man oh man. Do I love Bosa! Better than Dunkin, better coffee than most coffee shops. Their boba is something to be weary of though. I mean, its not their specialty so you cant really base a review off of that. But their smoothies, iced coffee, blended coffee, etc are each delicious and refreshing. Just be patient when its being made. The people that work here are always polite, courteous, and very down to earth which makes the few moments you spend there all that more wonderful. They have a lengthy list of drinks to choose from, as well and soft donuts. They also have sandwiches (I havent tried those yet though). I try not to come here too often though, cause otherwise Ill gain "happy weight". If youre in the area and youve never had Bosa, and youre sick of the poor excuse of a donut from Dunkin that would be better used as a door stop, stop in and grab a few. NEVER AGAIN! We literally just picked up Bosa maybe 15 minutes ago and I'm already writing this review. I have to say that we didn't order any donuts, only kolaches, so I can't comment on the donuts themselves. That being said, the service here was the biggest let down! We were so excited to try this place since it is nearby and has good reviews. We were between trying this place or Rainbow donuts. Big, huge, massive mistake even considering this place. My husband walked in and asked the woman behind the counter, "What kind of kolaches do you have?" She asked "What?!" five times and said, "I don't understand what you're saying! We don't have those here". As she was standing in front of them, my husband pointed to them and said, "These?". She looked at him and said, "Oh, kolaches?"....the exact same way as my husband had said it. No misinterpretation here. Not a negative comment, just kind of funny that you would be so defensive! My husband specifically ordered two kolaches with spicy sausage and one with regular and told her it was for our two-year-old and it could not be the one with the spices. He then double checked and asked again if the one we ordered for her had no spice. She told him it didn't. We got home and gave her a kolache. Specifically giving her the one we ordered for her, sans spicy. I ripped it open to check for spices and in the spot I ripped it open, there were no visible peppers. My daughter takes a big bite and immediately starts screaming and almost vomiting literally ripping at her face. These things are so spicy that I literally had to get milk (fine since I ordered that!) but way too hot for a little kid (hence the incessant checking that the particular kolache had no spice). It was pretty obvious that the lady behind the counter didn't know which way was up. Additionally, I wouldn't call this a kolache. While they were decent, far reach from a true kolache I would say (no expert). We know kolaches to be fluffy and soft. These were sincerely dense. That being said, the kolaches we've picked up from the QT off 7th St. are FAAAAAAAAAAAR superior and you don't have to worry about the terrible terrible terrible customer service. Oh, Bosa. I wanted to hate you. I never wanted to give you a second glance when I'm driving by on my way to the store or to the gym. But there you are, right on the corner in plain sight... taunting me with your warm, doughnutty goodness. Drat! I should say that on my list of vices, doughuts are waaaaaay down there. I never really was a fan of doughnuts. Until one week I was on jury duty and someone brought in some goodies from Bosa. And then I realized there was one in my very own neighborhood. It was all over after that. You can't go wrong with their original - it's big, light and fluffy, and the glaze is just delicious. There's always a big variety to choose from so everyone can get what they like. And their bubble tea is a super nice treat, too. Love me some Bosa! These donuts are always winners, whether they're eaten fresh right when you get them in the morning or later in the day. I often pick up donuts for colleagues at work or for my high school students, who have very high expectations for donuts (despite their weird affinity for Krispy Kreme...Yeah I really don't get it either). Bosa is delish and I've never had a donut from here that my students, friends, and I didn't love. Unlike some of the other donut shops here, they are the perfect amount of sweetness without that too-bready consistency or oily aftertaste. They also don't immediately get stale (like some other donut shops' treats). The service is friendly and quick, and the prices are great especially considering the quality. We first tried BoSa donuts in South Phoenix when my hubby's sister had a hankerin' for some donuts after dinner. Just our luck, BoSa Donuts was right across the street. Even at 7 at night, the donuts were nice and fresh. We were excited when we saw that BoSa Donuts was opening a location just a few minutes from our house. We have been to this new North Phoenix location twice now, and the donuts have been fresh and tasty both times. They have a wide selection available, including most of the staples (glazed, eclair, maple), and a few unique flavors. My favorite is the Buttermilk, which is slightly denser than a regular donut and is slightly less sweet. Service has been quick and friendly, and the price is just right. read more

Yo, they're donuts! What more is there to say. They've got the usual flavors, plus a couple kooky ones as well. It was with slight trepidation that I bit into the startlingly pink strawberry glazed donut with sprinkles. No worries though, it wasn't bad. The other standard flavors like glazed and chocolate were fluffy and delicious too - nothing stale despite my dropping in at 4 in the afternoon. And hey, as a bonus they've got smoothies and Thai iced tea with boba - now I don't have to drive across town. So the real question - Bosa or Rainbow? They are both about the same distance from my apartment. The answer: it depends which way I'm driving...they're on equal ground with my taste buds. I'm glad to have something new, anything, in north Phoenix. I tried this Bosa location shortly after they opened. I've been to one Mesa that was great, but this location was a disappointment. The staff was wonderful and friendly I don't eat a lot of sweets or junk food so to go get a donut is a special treat. I was disappointed in them. The donuts here are amazing. Point blank period. I came across BoSa one afternoon because I had a hankering for donuts after work. There's a Dunkin' Donuts across the street from my job but my husband isn't a fan. So, I hopped on Yelp and searched "donuts" intending to visit the closest Krispy Kreme. However, there was none on the list so, being relatively new to PHX, I figured I'd brave a local spot. Place after place was closed, having closed at some ridiculous hour like 2 pm. Who does that?! Thankfully, BoSa was open. This location is only 6 minutes from work (for which I was thankful) and it wasn't difficult to find at all. Once I got there, the first thing that struck me was that all their donuts were stocked and the aroma wafting out the store was delightful. I walked in and asked for a dozen donuts but there were so many choices, I didn't know what to pick! So, the lady behind the counter gave me an assortment to take home and she even gave me a sample of a glazed donut hole to try. It was delicious!! Anyway, fast forward to home and the initial tasting. The donuts were soft, light, fluffy, and amazing. The strawberry icing on one donut tasted like it was mad with great strawberries. The coconut cake donut was perfect. The long johns were awesome. They were all amazing! BoSa is my donut shop of choice. Here's my deal with Bosa. They have good donuts, but only GREAT glazed donuts. If you want a cake donut or a french cruller this is not your place. Go to Rainbow instead. That say, the cinnamon sugar glaze, the toasted coconut glaze, the powdered sugar glazed donuts melt in your mouth. A little like Krispy Kremes, only much more substantial and flavorful. If I'm craving a puffy glazed donut, this is where I'd go. My problem is I love me a pink cake donut with sprinkles. I don't think Bosa will be a regular spot. One HUGE Bosa perk though, is they are open until 11pm. That's nice. read more

Awesome donuts!! I don't know what you could complain about. It looks like a couple of reviewers with less than favorable reviews might be a little hard to please. I always try to read between the lines when someone talks about coming in at 10:00 on a Sunday morning (when they're trying to serve people dozens of donuts) and you're not happy with your 1/2 soy 1/2 lite double caramel macchiato. I've been told numerous times to try Bosa Donuts and today I finally pulled the trigger. Sorry, no pics with this post, those donuts didn't stand a chance!! In order to give a full assessment, I obviously needed to try a few items...wink...wink. Started with a Bacon, Egg and Cheese Croissant, followed that with a Buttermilk Donut and a Butterfly (I'm still talking about donuts, not the insect)! Been told Bosa is the Best Donut place... finally tried it this morning and it is a winner !! Was easy enough to get in and order. I first took a bite of the buttermilk which they are known for- tasty like a thick chewy buttermilk biscuit and a tad of sweet. The apple fritter so flavorful, I never steer way from maple long Jon's lol but I ate a fritter this morning. All in all, what I noticed was the donuts were moist all the way through , and the frosting wasn't hard or mushy, it was just right. It was the perfect morning to find the perfect sinus! read more

Donuts - Excellent quality. Very reasonably priced. Worth every penny. Drinks - I can't say that this is terribly wonderful. Let me break it down a bit. Smoothies - They use regular milk. It adds a good texture and flavor to the smoothies. Boba add on - Very odd setup. Most Boba (large Tapioca pearls added to drinks) has this brown sugar aftertaste. The employees here will take the Boba, heat it up (to soften it), rinse it out, and then put it in the bottom of the glass. This pretty much rinses out the brown sugar taste of the Tapioca pearls. Fountain Drinks - They haven't had CO2 for their fountain drinks for 2 weeks. I swear that they used up the old tenant's CO2, and never signed up for a supplier. (The old tenant in that location was a sub shop). Iced Tea - Stay away. They use hot water out of their coffee urns to make the iced tea, rendering the iced tea into a tea/coffee flavored mix. Ick. Final Verdict - if you want killer donuts, it's worth it. Just avoid the drinks unless you want a straight smoothie or something out of the prepackaged cooler. read more
