The store has frequent sales or discounts. They do offer private shopping parties in which the hostess receives a 40% discount and guests get 20% off.

Visiting Nordstrom's Racks sometimes feel like a treasure hunt. You never know if you're going to…read morefind that designer bag or shoes for 80% off or if all you're going to find is the Nordstrom rack brand items. That's what makes it fun! The Rack in Maple Grove is decent sized and well laid out. They tend to have a bit of a smaller selection of the higher end designers that you can find at the Mall of America Nordstrom rack but still a decent variety. They carry women's, men's, children's, shoes, accessories and home goods. Parking is plentiful but the traffic flow is a little tricky directing you right into the first row. That row gets 100% of incoming traffic so I'd recommend parking one or two over. Customer service here is always good. While you are kind of on your own to hunt the racks (if you want a personalized shopping experience head to the actual Nordstrom's) the employees always seem to be in a good mood and helpful when checking out. Dressing rooms are always clean and they have plenty of spaces to try on items. It helps when people return unwanted items to the return racks so do your part and don't leave them in the room. Overall I think visiting this location is fun and I rarely leave empty handed!

And spoke to someone that claimed to be a manager they said they would investigate the situation. They claimed to have check cameras, and they claimed that the shoes were in the bag, but the shoes never made it home with me. I'm a professional medical provider I have two twin boys, a husband there is no other female in the house and I know what I saw and how this person was acting at the register. Just make sure you check your items before leaving this store! Especially when you have someone that's bagging your stuff on the ground versus on the countertop!

This place is awesome for 40+ women who want to feel sexy and stylin' but are *so* over the body-squeezing, flaw-showing, tight-tight-tight clothes that you so often find when you want sexy and stylin'. My mom was in need of a serious style makeover--stuck in the mom-and-grandma rut of sweatshirts and wearing-out flannel. We took her to Chico's and the staff was absolutely great. They're more than willing to give style guidance without being pushy OR falsely-flattering. My mom now has a quintessential Little Black Dress (at age 62, this is her first). She looks fabulous and beautiful in it. (I'm so proud!) Chico's has fun, flirty and relatively modest (we did find my mom a "church-cleavage" shirt...rawr!) clothing for older women that doesn't veer into matronly. It's more boutique-like, so the selection isn't so overwhelmingly huge that it's impossible to make a decision (this, ehem, might be an issue in our family). Went to tailor to have dress fitted and found we were sold a used dress that had already been altered for someone else. The managers were not sure how to handle, took 3 days for them to consult with owner who said there was nothing they could do. Over $300 for a used dress. Not willing to adjust price or help with alterations to undo what has been done and fit my daughter, no time to get a new dress. Ugh!

I found a beautiful dress online. The designer's website listed Rubi Jubi online as the only retailer in Minnesota that sold these dresses. That said, I knew I needed to make some phone calls. The store assured me 1) they still sold the designer and 2) that their spring 2020 collection would be coming throughout January. That said, they did mention that my specific dress wouldn't be coming in, but at least others would be filtering through and I could at least look at the quality and sizing of the other dresses by the same designer. I made a couple of additional follow up calls as well to just be sure that things were moving along before trekking out to the opposite side of the cities for a long drive. They mentioned since I'm coming on a holiday to get there right at open. When we got there, we started towards the racks with my sizing. The designer was plain not there. Thankfully one of the employees went back to check and I tried some things on to get an idea of what silhouette I would like. As I'm trying things on, they can't find the designer anywhere. She comes back again, and says they haven't sold that brand in two years. Comes back again and says they couldn't special order for me. The only saving grace was that the employees I was working with were attentive. My recommendation would be to only go here if you don't have something specific in mind.
