Visiting Nordstrom's Racks sometimes feel like a treasure hunt. You never know if you're going to find that designer bag or shoes for 80% off or if all you're going to find is the Nordstrom rack brand items. That's what makes it fun! The Rack in Maple Grove is decent sized and well laid out. They tend to have a bit of a smaller selection of the higher end designers that you can find at the Mall of America Nordstrom rack but still a decent variety. They carry women's, men's, children's, shoes, accessories and home goods. Parking is plentiful but the traffic flow is a little tricky directing you right into the first row. That row gets 100% of incoming traffic so I'd recommend parking one or two over. Customer service here is always good. While you are kind of on your own to hunt the racks (if you want a personalized shopping experience head to the actual Nordstrom's) the employees always seem to be in a good mood and helpful when checking out. Dressing rooms are always clean and they have plenty of spaces to try on items. It helps when people return unwanted items to the return racks so do your part and don't leave them in the room. Make sure when you make a purchase you check your bags before leaving because they do have someone at the register that is very slick and sneaky and she takes things and acts like she's putting them in your bag and she doesn't I bought four pair of shoes and four pair of shoes was on my receipt. I got home and I didn't check my things right away. The next day when I checked I only had three pair of shoes with 3 boxes. I called. And spoke to someone that claimed to be a manager they said they would investigate the situation. They claimed to have check cameras, and they claimed that the shoes were in the bag, but the shoes never made it home with me. I'm a professional medical provider I have two twin boys, a husband there is no other female in the house and I know what I saw and how this person was acting at the register. Just make sure you check your items before leaving this store! Especially when you have someone that's bagging your stuff on the ground versus on the countertop! read more

I love Nordstrom Rack! It's like their discount, outlet version. Their are a couple of brands at Nordstrom's that I love and always tend to gravitate to. Even better to get them at a cheaper price. I'm usually looking for Caslon tops, Natori bras and underwear, and deals on name brand purses. I always tend to find all three! Now you do have to scour the clothes and flip through every piece on a rounder, but the thrill of the hunt is part of the fun! There's never a line at the dressing rooms. I prefer not being pestered by a salesperson. They also have a decent selection in shoes and home decor. It's fun to look through the candles, pillows, and other decor to find a fun bargain. The parking lot is kind of weird now. They force you to take the first right. Watch out for pedestrians! Then you have to fight other drivers to try to exit the lot and get to actual roads again. PEDESTRIANS! It's a busy store you gotta wait for all the people going in and out. If I could walk there I would but it's suburbia so just be patient and kind. Woohoo! My FAVORITE Rack store! I love Nordstrom Rack. I frequent the one at the MOA and at Knollwood Mall in St. Louis Park as well...but this one is by far my favorite! If you want to take your wardrobe to the next level on a budget, you need to be shopping at Nordstrom Rack. For men, here's what I like best: 1) Dress shirts: these should run you $40-$50. I have paid that amount at Macy's and far too often been disappointed in the quality. 2) Watches: a great way to add some depth to your style, and again for only about $50. Fossil, Diesel, Tommy Bahama (I never would have expected TB to have dope watches, but they do). 3) Casual shirts: Nordstrom Rack helped me resurrect the short sleeve button down. Many cool patterns, and these run you only $25-$30. 4) If you want to spoil yourself with designer jeans (and then never be able to drop back down to Express, Gap, or Guess), you can find a pair for $90-$100. Warning: you will likely need to have them tailored after purchase. 5) Shoes!! Clearance can have some marvelous finds. I have found the Maple Grove location to be far superior to Mall of America (and others seem to agree). It's worth the drive! read more

Love this place, but hated Erin the cashier. She was incredibly inefficient, wasn't able to focus on the transaction, and kept on "beating a dead horse" when people were not interested in opening a Nordstrom credit card. The line kept getting longer and she kept trying to talk people into signing up for a credit card. In addition, she used up additional time making comments about what people were purchasing. When it was finally my turn, I only had two items, but that must have been too much for Erin to handle. She only rang up one item and had to do a separate transaction for my other item. Also, she was facing me, making eye contact and speaking (presumably, to me), but was actually speaking to another employee who was standing directly behind her at the register. I find that very rude and unprofessional. Hope Nordstrom Rack can get some more qualified cashiers. read more

I love shopping at the rack. The shoe section can get overwhelming but the selection is impeccable. I fell ill during Thanksgiving but that didn't stop me from making a trip there during Black Friday. They offered extra 30% off all clearance items. Thank goodness they have a fair return policy even with such deep discounts because I could not try on the things I bought. I was exhausted after a few hours and my illness made me very weak, compounded by the amount of money I just spent and having to drag a couple of large shopping bags to the car. Agreeing with Mon P - this location seems bigger and cleaner than the MOA location. Maybe it's just the time that I visit, but I don't seem to always run into the "must have deals" at this location. Of course service is always great - it's Nordstroms! No tax on shoes and clothes... yesss!! And if you don't already I'd recommend signing up for their Nordstrom card. Even the Nordstrom debit card will get you "Nordstrom Notes" that you can spend anywhere. Plus, you'll get notice of all the double-point days and yearly sales. read more

The store is a bit messier than another Nordstrom racks I've been to, but the employee I interacted with at the register was extremely helpful and called corporate to correct the information on my account so I wouldn't have to! This is probably my favorite store in the Twin Cities. It has a huge selection of designer and "made for the rack staple" items that are surprisingly organized for an outlet store. You can shop here without getting completely overwhelmed. They have handbags, beauty items, shoes (TONS OF SHOES), tops, pants, overwear, kids items and a few other miscellaneous. I've gotten some great deals here including $465 Stuart Weitzman booties for $150, $150-255 BCBG sweaters for $19 each, Calvin Klein coat for under $100, and Aloe yoga pants & tank for $19 each. This store is my heaven. I cannot go inside unless I have some money to spend because I will find something I want to buy. TIP: Don't bother heading to the cash registers to pay for your items. I heart Nordstrom. I shop the Rack so much I should probably just work there. This particular location is a bit of a cluster to get to/park, especially now since the back end of the parking lot is under construction and partially blocked off. Anything in MG is a bit of a cluster, in my opinion. The store is clean and organized. You will still find a rogue small in with the larges, but that happens everywhere you go so I don't fault them for such a minor snafu. I think the thing I like best about the Rack is the customer service, they are so wonderful. Thanks Nordstrom! The reason I first started coming to the store is for my favorite work out brand, Marika. They are super comfy and you can get a pair of yoga pants for $15-20 instead of the $40+ directly from the brand. They have a ton of selections of brands that will quickly become your favorite. Handbag and shoe selection also offers designers like Kate Spade, Sperry, Coach and Michael Kors. Big tip for shoppers, get the Nordstrom Visa, even if you don't shop often, your reward points rack up and you get Nordstrom Notes good for purchase at any Rack, Nordstrom, or Hautelook.com. I love Nordstrom Rack. I used to drive to MOA just to go to Nordstrom Rack. Now that I live less than 10 mins to this Nordstrom. I come here almost every weekend to check out both new and clearance racks. I like Maple Grove location better than the MOA location. This location seems to be a bit bigger, cleaner, and brighter. The women clearance racks are great, and the handbag selections are a lot better at this location. I think shoes are amazing at both locations, but the shoe prices might not be the lowest compared to DSW or Marshalls and TJ Maxx. read more

My boyfriend and I went there to get him a dress shirt and tie for an upcoming wedding. Great selection, great prices and Frank was such a big help.
