Very disappointed! Went in, very little help from sales team. My daughter and friend just pulled dresses off racks and tried them on themselves with no guidance or assistance. All fitting rooms were full while the sales people chatted with each other and on their phones. We were rushed out of our fitting room as the next group of teen girls was coming in. Went to tailor to have dress fitted and found we were sold a used dress that had already been altered for someone else. The managers were not sure how to handle, took 3 days for them to consult with owner who said there was nothing they could do. Over $300 for a used dress. Not willing to adjust price or help with alterations to undo what has been done and fit my daughter, no time to get a new dress. Ugh! read more

Oh boy. Where to begin. So, I've been looking for wedding dresses online since before I was engaged. Once the question was popped, I started doing my research. I found a beautiful dress online. The designer's website listed Rubi Jubi online as the only retailer in Minnesota that sold these dresses. That said, I knew I needed to make some phone calls. The store assured me 1) they still sold the designer and 2) that their spring 2020 collection would be coming throughout January. That said, they did mention that my specific dress wouldn't be coming in, but at least others would be filtering through and I could at least look at the quality and sizing of the other dresses by the same designer. I made a couple of additional follow up calls as well to just be sure that things were moving along before trekking out to the opposite side of the cities for a long drive. They mentioned since I'm coming on a holiday to get there right at open. When we got there, we started towards the racks with my sizing. The designer was plain not there. Thankfully one of the employees went back to check and I tried some things on to get an idea of what silhouette I would like. As I'm trying things on, they can't find the designer anywhere. She comes back again, and says they haven't sold that brand in two years. Comes back again and says they couldn't special order for me. The only saving grace was that the employees I was working with were attentive. My recommendation would be to only go here if you don't have something specific in mind. read more

Entirely self-service. For the price of the dresses, you expect some attention or at least instruction of how to be successful in your shopping. Had we known we would be grabbing our own dresses to try through the whole experience, we could've known to come early to browse and be prepared. Staff does not help you at all. I'm sure they'll swipe your card, but other than that they are not interested. They assume they'll get your money because they're the only store around. I would have rather went further away than waste my time here with rude staff and poor business practices. Not for the money you're spending. Don't recommend. read more

Store has identity crisis between uber casual and prom dresses, lackluster selection of gowns and occasion cocktails along with staff who seem coached to find your size and special order you something from a catalog because they only stock lower tier and easy to come by options for 2-4 designers. Which I'm sure special orders come with a commitment of your money staying with them somehow even if you don't love what comes in. Being a certified retail provider for so many great brands should mean a constant selection of options for more than what looks like something only a teeny bopper would wear to to a pastel carnival themed prom. I could go on about improvements this place needs. Shame on me not needing to the other reviews on any given outlet. read more

PLEASE READ! My daughter purchased a prom dress here on a Saturday at 3:30 pm, came home and immediately regretted spending more money than her budget allowed, calling the store the same evening to request return. She and I returned to store the following day at 2:00 pm to return dress and the store refused. I spoke with salesperson who brought over store manager, all of whom flat out refused any concession let alone a full return. I asked for the owners contact information and the manager refused to provide this. I am hoping the owner will see this review and offer a solution. It is ridiculous and predatory to sell products at this price point and not provide ANY recourse should a decision be regretted. All of us make choices we should be able to reverse, particularly a 17 year old girl who is wowed by staff, being SOLD on emotion. The staff treated my daughter amazingly well when they were charging her card $418.00 and treated us both terribly when we requested a return. DO NOT SHOP HERE. DO NOT ALLOW YOUR CHILD TO SHOP HERE. BUYER BEWARE OF RUBI JUBI IN MAPLE GROVE, MN! Less than 24 hours ago, I spent $350 of a designed Sherri Hill dress for my daughter's school dance. After getting the dress home, I noticed that the zipper is defective (pulling away from the seam). After spending some time with the "assistant manager" and reps. at the store, they tried to railroad me into believing that this is how a normal zipper should work. They offered zero solutions and referred me to an alterations person down the street. They do not stand behind their product and have zero customer service skills. SAVE YOUR TIME AND SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE! A side note - My daughter is autistic. Being asked to a high school dance is a big deal. With her sensory issues, going to a busy store to try on dresses simply doesn't work. We found the perfect dress with soft material but, unfortunately, it was purchased from the wrong retailer. read more

This place is THE WORST!! There are definitely better places to shop for a prom dress, and after the experience I had here, I would drive to the other side of the city, because frankly, I would have gotten served quicker if I had driven for 45 minutes to go somewhere else. They have the weirdest check-in process where they take your name, and when it's your turn to get a fitting room, they text you (?) even though you're waiting in the store. Then you put a tag on the three dresses you want to try and they're supposed to bring them to you. I've never seen anything more disorganized and horrible in all my life. Waited for over an hour for a fitting room and meanwhile, the girl claims she sent a text and that was not true. It never happened. I had to throw a fit to get a fitting room, and then when that finally occurred, we got ZERO customer service. They claimed they would get the gowns for my daughter to try on, but I ended up going to get all the gowns. When I asked if they had certain styles in her size, they said they would look but then they never came back. For a place that sells dresses that are $500 and more you would think you would get impeccable service. I was utterly astonished at how horrible we were treated. Searching for a prom dress with my daughter should have been a fun experience, and this place turned it into a stressful, anxiety ridden three hour ordeal. read more

This place is awful. First the hostesses when we walked in were so rude it ruined our entire experience. They took a special, fun day and made it awful. Second they don't really help with finding prom dresses which is so inconvenient since you have to mark them then they have to pull them 3 at a time. So the visit took hours. Then my daughter was so tired and unhappy with the service that she just settled. Third we ordered and they told us it would be in within 7-10 days which we needed due to alterations. After 3 weeks I emailed them and called but they never got back to me. Then they said they called and said the dress was in which we didn't get a call and the supposed call was a month later. I called them again because we had already bought another dress because we were worried that one would not have been altered in time for her event. They would not return the dress. So now I have a $300 dress to pick up and prom is in 3 days. We have been to The Prom Shop a couple years and they are so good, bit of a drive but worth it. Or there are a couple places in Woodbury we have been to and they are all great service. This place needs nicer employees and better customer service. read more

Great selection. Prices are a little high, but there is a range. Customer service is terrible. If I'm spending $200+ on a high school dance outfit, at least say hello when I walk in or when I want to have my daughter try something on. They are busy but several people are just standing around. Very disappointed! My daughter found the prom dress she wanted when she was with her girlfriends (Sunday). It was $370.00 so not cheap, but not over the top. They didn't have her size but contacted the vendor and were able to order one, I just needed to call and talk with the manager who did the ordering. Monday morning at 10:30 am I called and spoke with a salesgirl (Nicki) who said the manager (Nancy I believe) was off that day, but wanted all the information and she would have the manager call me on Tuesday to take payment and place the order. This was 2 weeks ago and I still haven't heard from them. Good thing the salesperson gave me the information on the designer. We ordered the dress from a boutique in Chicago, peachesboutique.com not only was the dress only $350.00 but they shipped it in 2 days for free! Will never go back to Rubi Jubi nor will I recommend their store! Very disappointing as I would rather buy local and support MN businesses. read more

They have a good variety of dresses but they definitely cater to smaller girls. My biggest problem with that store was the customer service. The girls that worked there did not talk to me once and even looked at me as if they were judging me while I was trying on a dress. I don't fit in a size 0 dress and I didn't even get a hello at the door, when girls who were a size 0-4 got special treatment and the staff was running around to find them the best dress. Very annoyed by the guest service only because I felt very self conscious and even felt sad leaving that store. Wouldn't go again but I did find a dress that I loved and one that I feel personally confident in. All I ask from this review is that they train the girls to accept all body types and help everybody no matter what they look like. The experience definitely would have been better if I had been greeted with a smile, shown around the store, told that I could ask them for different sizes or styles, or simply complimented or not looked at in a judgy way. read more

Just had such an excellent customer service experience! I was so pleased with the amount of help that Nancy provided for my daughter and me. She went way above and beyond my expectations - even on a busy Saturday. She knew we might not even be able to order the dress size we needed since the dress is mostly sold out and in the end, sadly, we have to keep on looking. But when you receive service of this level without any sale being imminent - you know you've found a great place. We'll be back next year - earlier! read more

Wonderful prom store and boutique! They have a huge selection for prom, and make the process of special ordering a dress very simple and easy. I've had nothing but great customer service every time I've been in. In addition to a ton of prom gowns to choose from, they've also got the cutest clothes the rest of the year. I've gotten a ton of cute clothes there (at reasonable prices), and I always get complimented on them when I wear them. Overall a wonderful store with a great team working there! read more
