I finally was in the area to check them out. They have some really fun, unique items which is great because I don't want to see my outfit on someone slimmer than me! They have so much merchandise to look at and go through that I started at one end and kept circling around the store because I was afraid I'd miss something! Large selection equals awesome! They even had a decent amount of clearance items. Two rolling racks with 50% off. I love a good deal! Jewelry, accessories, and even shoes! Very impressive! Now I'm not a model size and I was pleasantly surprised at the selection in large, XL, and even a few XXL! Thank you! Personally for me the prices are way outside of my budget. $50 for a t-shirt, $35 for a tank top? Sorry, but I couldn't find anything that I absolutely loved for those prices. I will definitely stop back to see what's on sale and what new styles they have though. I personally liked that the sales girls (they were chatting about high school) greeted me, but left me to wander. As soon as I picked a few things up they were by my side offering me a dressing room! There was a ladies night event advertised on their social media which mentioned giveaways but when asked about them the salesclerk confirmed there were none. The store has frequent sales or discounts. They do offer private shopping parties in which the hostess receives a 40% discount and guests get 20% off.

They claimed to have check cameras, and they claimed that the shoes were in the bag, but the shoes never made it home with me. I'm a professional medical provider I have two twin boys, a husband there is no other female in the house and I know what I saw and how this person was acting at the register. Visiting Nordstrom's Racks sometimes feel like a treasure hunt. The Rack in Maple Grove is decent sized and well laid out. They tend to have a bit of a smaller selection of the higher end designers that you can find at the Mall of America Nordstrom rack but still a decent variety. They carry women's, men's, children's, shoes, accessories and home goods. Parking is plentiful but the traffic flow is a little tricky directing you right into the first row. That row gets 100% of incoming traffic so I'd recommend parking one or two over. Customer service here is always good. While you are kind of on your own to hunt the racks (if you want a personalized shopping experience head to the actual Nordstrom's) the employees always seem to be in a good mood and helpful when checking out. Dressing rooms are always clean and they have plenty of spaces to try on items. It helps when people return unwanted items to the return racks so do your part and don't leave them in the room. Overall I think visiting this location is fun and I rarely leave empty handed!

Chico's has fun, flirty and relatively modest (we did find my mom a "church-cleavage" shirt...rawr!) clothing for older women that doesn't veer into matronly. It's more boutique-like, so the selection isn't so overwhelmingly huge that it's impossible to make a decision (this, ehem, might be an issue in our family). The managers were not sure how to handle, took 3 days for them to consult with owner who said there was nothing they could do. Over $300 for a used dress. I found a beautiful dress online. The designer's website listed Rubi Jubi online as the only retailer in Minnesota that sold these dresses. That said, I knew I needed to make some phone calls. The store assured me 1) they still sold the designer and 2) that their spring 2020 collection would be coming throughout January. That said, they did mention that my specific dress wouldn't be coming in, but at least others would be filtering through and I could at least look at the quality and sizing of the other dresses by the same designer. I made a couple of additional follow up calls as well to just be sure that things were moving along before trekking out to the opposite side of the cities for a long drive. They mentioned since I'm coming on a holiday to get there right at open. When we got there, we started towards the racks with my sizing. The designer was plain not there. Thankfully one of the employees went back to check and I tried some things on to get an idea of what silhouette I would like. As I'm trying things on, they can't find the designer anywhere. She comes back again, and says they haven't sold that brand in two years. Comes back again and says they couldn't special order for me. The only saving grace was that the employees I was working with were attentive. My recommendation would be to only go here if you don't have something specific in mind.
