POOR COMMUNICATION, LOST ITEMS, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND EXPERIENCE FOR BRIDE. If I could rate this bridal shop negatively, I absolutely would. From the moment I began my experience, the staff were disastrously disorganized and communication was severely lacking. Although I found my dream dress here and decided to place an order--including additional items like a bow and skirt--I quickly regretted my decision. Upon receiving my order, I had to fight to have the missing items--ones I had paid for--delivered. To make matters worse, the bow that was sent to me was nothing like what I had ordered. The color, style, and fabric were completely wrong and didn't match at all. The bridal shop is virtually unreachable--no one answers the phone, and emails take at least a week to be acknowledged. I reached out multiple times asking for help in finding a similar bow, but I never received a response on how to fix the issue. Not once did they return my calls or address my concerns about a refund. This experience was nothing short of a nightmare for me as a bride, and I wouldn't wish the stress, tears, and endless time I wasted dealing with this shop on anyone. Non traditional bride review - Beautiful gowns, but not out-of-the-box. This was a hard one to rate. I was initially excited because the website seemed so different from other bridal shops and even specified a black dress and pants suits and breaking out of the mold. I spent time filling out a questionnaire including a link to my Pinterest board. When I arrived the sales person Cora seemed somewhat surprised to see me and did not have many samples picked out (like other stores will do) and did not seem to have read my questionnaire. As a last minute bride, there were off the rack options that I could choose from which I appreciated. BUT I feel like the way the store markets their brand is very different than what they actually offer. Other than some Pop culture decor, I did not see the store as being edgier than other bridal shops. There was one black gown in the display window and a handful of statement pieces on a tiny trunk show rack, but I found myself bored of the explosion of white dresses (and champagne being the primary alternative color) and craving the experience I expected from the description paragraph on the website. I rated it a four because I am taking ownership of not fully vetting all of the designers they carry - but hope one day I can find a non-cliche shop that doesn't feel like it's trying so hard with the aesthetic like Flutter. read more

When making all wedding dress appointments at various shops, we would ask if they had a particular style available. Love Flutter. After searching several cities for the dream dress, I just couldn't find one that checked all of my boxes and thought I was going to have to settle. When I walked into Flutter I KNEW this was the place. I'm from Vegas - getting married in Austin - and apparently buying my dress in Minneapolis!!!! The staff was friendly, aesthetically amusing and wonderful (I'll love any place with the office/Schitt's Creek/pop culture decor), and the dresses displayed were GORG. The designer of the dress I loved so hard on insta was actually there by chance and he told me settling was ABSOLUTELY NOT an option and 10 minutes later I was in my dream dress. So glad I found Flutter Bridal! I knew what kind of dress I wanted and had gone to almost every bridal boutique in the twin cities to find my dream dress. I had no luck and was about to give up until I came across Flutter at the Bridal show (pre-pandemic). As soon as I walked into the convention center, I saw the dress I wanted. I found their booth and immediately scheduled an appointment. It was a smooth process and their employees were wonderful to work with. Flutter has a well curated selection of dresses. What I loved about their shop was all the dresses were well made and high quality. Like I said earlier, I went to almost every bridal shop in the twin cities and many of the dresses I encountered felt and looked cheap. Scale from 1-10 how much I ended up loving the entire process: 10, and it is all thanks to the wonderful team at Flutter Boutique. I got engaged in May, and pretty shortly thereafter booked a flight home to go dress shopping with the most important ladies in my life. Two of my dear friends had purchased their wedding dresses at Flutter, so I locked in an early Saturday morning appointment - making it the first boutique on our shopping "itinerary". Despite hearing words of caution to only bring a few guests along, I ended up inviting 6 people; I just couldn't imagine any of them not being a part of that special occasion. The entire week leading up to the dress shopping weekend, I was a ball of nerves. What if I don't find THE dress? What if I can't find anything I love in my budget? What if my mom hates the one I fall in love with? Call me a spazz, but the struggle was real. Saturday morning arrived, and my squad headed to Flutter. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted by my lovely consultant, Alyssa. From the moment we kicked off, Alyssa made me feel completely at ease, and even EXCITED. I had an idea of what I wanted, but didn't want to pigeon-hole myself, so I was willing to try on a variety of options. Alyssa did a fabulous job in pulling a range of styles just to show me what is out there, and really paid attention to how I felt about each style. One of my biggest criterion for my dress was danceability - I LOVE dancing, and need to be able to shamelessly tear up the dance floor. When Alyssa realized that there was piano music playing softly in the background, she asked if I wanted to throw on some other tunes, to which I replied "can we put on.... Usher?" She was on it in a heartbeat, and just continued to make the process fun and personal. After trying on only 4 dresses, I put on the 5th and immediately started crying. I just knew it was the one. All of my guests could tell that my heart was set, and were thankfully all in complete approval. After "saying yes," Alyssa brought us champagne and some darling Minnesota-shaped cookies to celebrate. I HAD FOUND MY DRESS and it only took 50 minutes?! Who knew?! I didn't want to take the dress off, and I practically wanted to sing from the mountain tops. What had started out as a proverbial storm cloud over my wedding planning ended up being such a beautiful experience, and I am so grateful I went to Flutter. Went to three appointments in one day (not recommended). Flutter was our second appointment. My daughter found a dress she liked at the first store we showed it to Tyler and he topped the dress we showed him and came in under budget with the new dress! She fell in love with a sample dress so we couldn't order it and had to decide quickly if we wanted it. We never felt pressured to buy right now. She was showed all kinds of styles for her venue on the beach. He told us to go to our other appointments then said if it was meant to be we would be back. We did go to our third appointment big mistake (another review) and called Tyler back first thing Sunday to hold our dress so we could pick it up that day. He was awesome and even recommended a cleaner an alterations place. I will definitely be recommending Flutter to everyone I know and bringing my other daughter here next year. read more

This place is a little hard to find as not a ton of advertising. We had an appointment to shop for my daughter's wedding with all the bridesmaids. We had a large and rowdy group for certain and they handled us very well. They tucked us in a back room that was lovely and private and let us just enjoy our time. i brought some sparkly to drink and early morning treats. With a large wedding party and different shapes and sizes they were most helpful in letting us pull anything we wanted and a great time was had by all. We were able to look at swatch samples of colors and fabrics also. It is amazing that when looking at gowns in photos on pinterest how different they can look up close. Our front runner quickly became a big NO due to the fabric. We found an dark horse of a dress that the gal pulled and said try this one. It looked good on all body types and came in a nice variety of colors so we found a winner. The prices are within the range we were expecting. My daughter said it was a good experience and if the bride is happy all is well. read more

The dress was ordered literally this past week - because they definitely did not order it before final payment was made last Friday. A devastating development has occurred that caused the cancellation of the engagement. This dress can easily be canceled - I have experience on the wedding industry. Yet refused to consider it. My daughter is devastated as it is and now must take possession of a $2000 dress in 6 months? I could understand a return fee, but full payment of something this personal is wrong. read more

The entire experience was everything I dreamed of and more. First off Flutter is STUNNING! The lighting was perfect and made each dress sparkle. Tyler and Abby were there on my day and oh my goodness did they make me feel like a queen. They pulled such amazing dresses for me, and when it came time to deciding between the two dresses, they knew just how to help me. I wanted to put my hair up and Abby quickly braided both sides of hair back into one braid and then did a beautiful low bun, it literally looked like I just had it done in a salon. I was blown away. She told me to close my eyes and to envision myself on my wedding day walking towards my fiancé and then I knew that I was standing in the dress of my dreams. I had a fantastic time at Flutter! I went during a weekday, which I recommend, and received the best service. It was the least stressful and most enjoyable time I've had looking for a wedding gown. Their store is clean, open and their attendants are kind, welcoming, but not pushy. Their changing rooms are spacious and their gown selection is unique but classy. I even had a delightful chat with my attendant afterwards and not once did I feel like I was on a "bridal conveyor belt". I initially was introduced to Flutter through a friend of mine who bought her wedding dress here and then subsequently found the perfect bridesmaid dresses for the the occasion as well. I was emailed about my bridesmaid dress arriving a few months after ordering and they held it until I could pick it up about a month later (summer has been quite hectic with a lot of changes!) so I was very appreciative. When I scheduled my appointment to pick it up, I noticed that they were having a sample sale and as I am newly engaged (but haven't dress shopped at all yet), I figured I'd take mom along in the event that something caught my eye. And I'm so thankful she came! Sarah was so very helpful and attentive to our needs regarding styles, price range, comfort, etc. It was exciting to try on dresses for the first time and we were super comfortable at Flutter. Sarah pulled many sample sale and full priced dresses so I could get a feel of what worked best and urged me to get a bit out of my comfort zone stylistically without putting on pressure but still listened to my wishes which I appreciate because I ended up with a style that I swore was not for me. I was deciding between a full priced Theia and a sample sale Ti Adora that was no longer being carried at the boutique. After going between the two, getting accurate pricing for each and deciding it wasn't too impulsive to buy a dress during my first and only appointment, I went for the Ti Adora. Sarah waited for me to say the words of being "in love" and set on the dress before encouraging me that it was a good fit for me. She even said I should sleep on it for a bit if I was undecided but I just couldn't leave the sample knowing it could be swept up by another bride! My mom and I left with the dress (after a glass of champagne) and I am still so convinced that we made the right choice with the dress and shopping at Flutter. I received a personal, handwritten thank you note afterwards as well which was just icing on the cake. I have had previous experience with Flutter for a friend's wedding, where the owner, Kolby, was fantastic to work with. But today I went in for my own wedding, which is less than two months away. I had to buy off the rack due to the time crunch, but Flutter made it work! Laura and Kirby were so helpful. I can't say enough good things about them. I bought my dress back in February for my wedding on June 18th. Kirby was fantastic. She was so patient and understanding of my needs. I wanted a casual wedding, so my dream was to have a short dress. I ended up choosing a floor length gown by Aria. Rather than me having to shorten it myself/through a tailor, Kirby was able to contact the designer to custom make the length to my specifications. That alone saved hundreds in tailoring. They were completely transparent in the risks I was taking, and even advised to call a tailor ahead of time as my dress would not arrive until late April. The tailor (Sharon Pothen/Twin Cities Bridal Alterations) advised that the timeline would be just fine, and I actually got my dress early! The length turned out great- just what I wanted. I still brought it to the tailor, as the bodice needed work. While shopping, I pointed out each flaw that I saw in my dress. I was assured that these are easy fixes by a tailor so I did not worry. When I finally got to the tailor, she seemed to blame the dress maker on some odd boning in the back of the dress. She assured me that taking out the waist would help with some odd bulges in the back where the zipper and buttons were. When I went back to her after tailoring, the dress still bulged very minimally. I figured it was too late to apply any fixes so I just left it as is. Afterall, it was pretty unnoticeable. Fast forward to the wedding day... this bulge completely came back as I was moving about throughout the day. Though I received so many compliments, I just felt that the back of the dress was such a sore point in the dress. My close friends were the only ones that actually had the guts to say "what the hell," but I knew it was obvious to everyone. I still felt beautiful but it honestly pains me to look at any photos of me from the back from the wedding. It is frankly infuriating to spend almost 2 grand and not have it be 100% perfect. The reason I share this and still give 5 stars is that I think the dress maker would blame the tailor while the tailor would blame the dressmaker. I want to warn all of you that if something is wrong while trying on dresses, trust your instincts and really do your research before you buy. Additionally, I was concerned when I went to Sharon's (the tailor) and she had all photos and reviews from only thin women. I am 5'3" and 140 pounds, my dress was a size 10. Not huge, but I have some extra body fat. I think either this dress or Sharon was not prepared for that. read more

I attended the grand opening of Flutter a few years back and got to meet the new owner Kolby. Her overall appearance and personality was wonderful and a great fit for the boutique. I currently live in Louisiana and needed a spur of the moment dress for a Marine Corps ball and couldn't find the perfect one. I contacted Flutter, and the owner personally took care of me by finding the perfect dress to fit the occasion being 1500 miles away. I scheduled my bridesmaid dress appointment with Flutter because I absolutely love their instagram and have heard lovely things about the boutique. It is one of those places you just HAVE to check out, the total package of a bridal shopping experience. It is so cute inside, they have beautiful gowns, and kind people working there. The consultants are easy to work with. You can tell that doing what they do is second nature. Our consultant, Sarah, gauged our moods and did a great job being around when we needed her and leaving us to chat when we needed just our time together. With that being said, we fell in love with several of the dresses. However, the selection is not as large as some of the other shops in the cities. This is understandable being that it is a boutique. I would say one thing to MAKE SURE you do before you jump the gun on purchasing something from Flutter is to do your research. We fell in love with a Dessy bridesmaids gown that we found for OVER $100 LESS EXPENSIVE at the wedding shoppe. The dress was $280 at Flutter and was $171 at the wedding shoppe. Needless to say, due to the amount of options and prices, we chose to purchase from the wedding shoppe. It is nothing the consultants or the boutique did at all, Again, wonderful experience. I had high hopes for this bridal boutique based on the reviews but was highly disappointed. As you walk in you are directed to remove your shoes and out on a pair of their dirty used slippers. The entry way was very small and our group of four had to take turns removing our shoes because there was no room! We climbed the stairs to the second level and and though small, the boutique was very cute and provided a quiet, private atmosphere. There was very little selection and they only carried sample sizes in a 10 and smaller. Our bride managed to pick 5 dresses from the very small selection, but unfortunately none of them fit and we weren't able to find anything remotely close to what she was interested in. I can obviously read a price tag. Little did she know, my budget was a bit more flexible and I ended up buying a more expensive dress at another boutique. The sales staff at the second boutique were willing to work with me, no matter my budget. I didn't hesitate to get the perfect dress when I saw it, even though it happened to be more expensive. A big part of my decision was the kind, compassionate sales staff after my experience at Flutter. This was obviously an isolated experience. OMG - thank you SO much!!! I had thee BEST experience at Flutter! Right after I got engaged, I saw a dress on Pinterest that I immediately loved and it was Studio Levana. I showed it to numerous family members and friends because I loved the style of it. I followed on Insta and then saw the dress get shared on their page - I asked if they carried it anywhere in MN and that was the first I heard of Flutter. Fast forward to yesterday - I began the day with a discouraging experience at David's Bridal. I hadn't felt listened to and wasn't excited about any of the dress options. The lady who helped seemed disinterested and I honestly felt like I was a bother. Not that anyone knew - but I had a mini cry sesh on my own in the dressing room before we left because I was so frustrated. I'm a plus size bride and didn't feel like anything I tried on was flattering either. Needless to say, that appt ended early. The difference between that experience and flutter was like night and day. Talia was amazing! She took the time to ask me questions to get to know me and figure out what I was envisioning/excited about. She came into the dressing room and helped me (this is a big thing - I didn't get that at David's Bridal and it's a lot to do it all yourself with a facemask on). I had questions and she had answers. She was as excited about Studio Levana as I was! Turns out the dress I got the most excited about months ago is the one I ended up with! I can't wait to wear it on my wedding day! Flutter is amazing!! My sister (the bride) had an appointment recently and had such a fantastic experience. The store is bright and beautiful. Our consultant was very positive, excited, and made us feel very welcome. We went to A&Be after this appointment and had a horrible experience. We were able to browse Flutter's dresses (which is something you can't do at A&Be) and the consultant was great about allowing my sister to pick multiple dresses and also made the guests feel welcome to add their input since my sister wanted us to pick out some dresses.
