Came here is search of a prom dress for my daughters senior prom. Very nice staff and helpful. Was greeted right away. On Sundays it is prom fittings only which was fabulous! Wasn't too terribly busy. Nice casual atmosphere not too serious. Which I like a more light hearted experience. Staff was prompt and had great suggestions. Overall, I think this is a really nice shop, and the owner is friendly, fun, and kind. I went in looking for a wedding dress and they had a great selection. It was tidy, clean, and their couple of sitting areas were nice and comfortable. I think the only things I have to note are that they accept walk-ins which is all well and good, unless it means people with appointments have to wait. We ended up waiting at least ~30 minutes to start my appointment, which was okay since we had time to look at the dress and pull what we liked, but at the same time, the whole appointment ran an hour longer than we were anticipating. It was certainly kind to let us stay that long though as the last appointment of the day! What a wonderful experience for my daughter. After being at another store earlier that day and having a less than stellar time, Angelique's was such a breath of fresh air. Dresses are beautiful and Paige (amazing consultant) was so helpful- having my daughter try on a variety of shapes (A-line, ball gown, trumpet) to ensure she really found the fit she was going for. Paige explained how the dress would fit when it was more tailored to my daughter's size. We didn't feel rushed or pressured to buy "on the spot" today, which was also so wonderful. My mom and I were on the hunt for a mother of the bride dress a few weeks ago. We searched department stores, online, and the "big box" bridal stores...and felt out of luck. By happenstance, we learned of Angeliques and we gave it a shot. Let me tell you. The women we worked with were PHENOMENAL. They went above and beyond in helping my mom feel comfortable and confident in the dresses she tried on. We were able to buy the perfect dress and get her fitted for alterations all at the same time. I had shopped Angelique's Bridal a few times over the years prior to buying my dress because I had gone there with my daughter for prom dresses. When she got engaged, it was time for me to get a "mother of the bride" dress, and my first thought was Angelique's because I had always seen so many cute dresses there. I don't like the typical "mother of the bride" styles, so I told them what I liked and was looking for and they brought me several to try on. The first one I tried on was the ONE! I went back with my daughter and she loved it too. I had looked at literally over 1,000 dresses online, so to go to Angelique's and get the first one I tried on was such a blessing! I was really disappointed in my "premium shopping" experience at Angelique's. The staff was very friendly however when you require a $35 payment to try on dresses I expected a little more help rather than simply having a consultant tell me I could pick whatever dresses I wanted and not help with the selection. At other dress shops (that didn't require fees) consultants listened to what I was looking for and proactively helped in the shopping experience bringing me dresses to try or pointing me to store favorites. I feel like paying $35 was a ripoff for the experience that I had. I left extremely disheartened, overwhelmed that I was never going to find a dress, and frustrated. We could not have had better service at Angelia's. Lisa was great! The selection was the best of all the shops we went to. So happy with the dress we bought. They included all of us that wanted to help choose this very important dress, and made us feel welcome. I can't say that about all places. They even stayed open AFTER CLOSING for us to return to try on again. We've bought prom dresses here too and the alteration person did an excellent job. I had a wonderful experience with Lisa at Angelique's. I went during COVID and appreciated that we had to wash our hands upon entering their business. LOVE IT!! Lisa was very fun to interact with, listened to what I like, and pulled dresses that I surprisingly liked. She encouraged me to put on a dress I'd never pull for myself and I surprisingly loved it! She also let me pull dresses myself. But most importantly, she respected my budget! She kept shopping and trying on dresses fun. She was very knowledgeable, offered alterations on site (this was the only bridal store I had found that at!!) and listened to me. I felt heard and genuinely cared for. My only critique is they don't have my size in dresses (but I'm a small size so it's understandable). But they offered a huge variety of options and styles. I sadly didn't get my dress here, but would encourage anyone and everyone to come visit their beautiful shop. read more

Terrible terrible terrible. As a soon to be bride you expect to be treated as such. I had an appointment set up the week of Thanksgiving, so my out of town mother and I could go and try on/look at/hold up the dress I want to wear for my wedding. My dress happened to be in the window when we pulled up, and I took that as a sign, it wasn't. When we checked in, I informed the woman at the desk the dress I wanted was in the window. She looked at me, went to check the size, and said "This dress won't fit you, it's a 6". Fair enough, it wouldn't. In this situation, being the saleswoman, I would have at least taken the dress off the mannequin, and let me hold it up to my body so I could get an idea of what it will look like. It didn't even enter her mind to do such thing. My mom and I walked around in our socks, looked at other dresses for the hell of it, and were told to come back in February to get sized. Skip ahead to today. I called to set up an appointment for a fitting, told the woman on the phone I had been in over Thanksgiving week to look at the dress, and she acted all rude about the fact I was just told to "come back in February." I explained the situation and she acted as if it were my fault they wouldn't take the dress off the mannequin, and was rude about the fact I didn't fill out a card when I was originally in there with the dress's designer and #. She said "We change our mannequin's weekly, how am I to know what dress you looked at." I told her the designer name, and #. We set up an appointment to come back for a sizing, I canceled 15 minutes later. I found two other shops in MN that carry the dress, and will go out of their way to make sure I can envision what it will look like on me, whether it's my size or not. It was a mediocre to terrible experience over all. I wouldn't recommend going to Angelique's if you want good service, particularly people who will help you to envision what you will look like on your big day. I give them an F. read more

We went here recently for my sister to try on wedding gowns. What a great experience. I've been to numerous other bridal boutiques and this was by far my favorite. They had a large couch for all 7 of us to sit while watching her try on dresses. They had coffee, tea, water, etc. and even let us bring in champagne. The shop was far less chaotic than all other shops I've been in, making for a much more pleasurable experience. They also had a good selection of dresses, of which my sister found hers! This place is awful.. Wouldn't want anyone to go through the problems I've gone through. It doesn't deserve stars... They are rude and like to charge extra money without telling you. I was given my receipt after buying my bridesmaids dress (it was a receipt with a carbon copy which I had to sign to confirm everything was correct) and when I went to pick the dress up they added $15 more dollars to what I had owed and it was weird because that wasn't the match to the carbon copy I had. The owner called me when I got home and said they found the original one they had on file but someone had to of forged my signature on to that new one. DO NOT EVER GO HERE. read more

Pretty horrible place for dress shopping. The whole experience is really awkward, starting with taking your shoes off when you walk in the door ?? Didn't like anything about the process of trying on dresses or the service. The only plus was that I found really pretty earrings for a reasonable price that I wore for my wedding. Bought my wedding dress here in 1986. They have a wide variety of styles to choose from and they are very friendly and helpful.

I made an appointment with Angelique's because I wanted to try on a specific dress by a designer that they carried. I found them by looking at the designer's web site. I called and told them the style number of the dress I wanted to try on. In a few minutes the woman called back and told me that they had that dress and she would write down that I was going to try that on for my appointment. This shop is over an hour away from where I live, I was going there SPECIFICALLY to try on this dress. My mom had come to town from 3 1/2 hours away so we could go wedding dress shopping that Saturday. I had one appointment in the morning and then was only able to schedule my appointment with Angelique's because of how long it would take to get there. I found two dresses that were ok at my first appointment, but I HAD to try on the dress I had been drooling over for months. We drive an hour north to get there and we have to take off our shoes - which would be ok but the carpet is pretty gross and I didn't have socks on so that was annoying. Then a girl comes to "help me" she doesn't ask me what kind of dress I am looking for, how much my price range is nothing. She just tells me to start fishing through and that the dresses are sorted by size. I just had to start pulling dresses out and she will bring them to the room. I asked about the dress I called ahead for and she said she had to find it. Well I then proceeded to look through the dresses myself - which is impossible to do if you like a specific designer, they rip off the labels and don't put the designers on the price tag so you can't tell who makes what. I would assume so you don't go somewhere with actual customer service and buy it. After going through the dresses, pulling them myself and bringing them to the room myself, the sales girl was still nowhere to be found. So I put on the dresses myself but had no one there to help clip me in so I could see what they actually looked like. The girl came by once to tell me she is having a hard time finding the dress - very frustrated at this point I told her I drove a long ways to come here and could have made other appointments elsewhere but they told me they had the dress here, if they didn't have it someone should have called me. Well then she disappeared for a while so I was sitting there in a robe getting increasingly angry. After about 10 more min of waiting she comes over to tell me they sold it off the floor, and then just walked away! I was fuming mad. They wasted my entire afternoon of my time and my families - and really wasted the whole weekend. My mom didnt drive over 3 hours to go to one appointment. I could have made an appointment with a different salon that wouldn't take me so long to get there and would actually help me. What is the point of telling them what dress you want to try on if they don't keep track of it at all? I was just amazed at how horrible their customer service was, I can't imagine what headaches would happen if you actually purchased a dress with them. STAY FAR AWAY!!!!!! It was a bit overwhelming at first in the prom area, but once I got my bearings it was great! I was able to find my dream prom dress! I went in with my mother to look for gowns for my sons wedding. We were asked to remove our shoes...SMART....but not told what to do with them so I had to ask. Lead back to a rack of matronly dresses. Ummmm no thanks! Wasn't offered other options. As a former bridal consultant I know mix and match bridesmaid dresses are a great option. She didn't offer anything else. The selection is a little limited, but they had an Essence of Australia Trunk show in town the weekend I was shopping so I drove all the way up from Cottage Grove. I had an appointment at 9 am (opening time) on a Friday, so I was really only one of two brides in the store. As such, I got a lot of time and attention from the sales lady to help me find dresses to try on. She was extremely helpful in finding the dress for me. Spent extra time with us, had a lot of patience, and was not pushy. They have a great selection of different styles. When I asked "How can I try these new styles on if the sizes are not even close to what I need?" I was told I could choose a dress in my size, the color I wanted, and I "just hold up the style of dress I want" to see what I think. To piggy back off Michele's post below (July 2016) - I actually was a repeat customer and was treated horribly BOTH times. Jackie is absolutely terrible. And they wonder why the staff turnover so frequently? How can you possibly have a healthy business when you treat your staff and customers like that? I've intentionally waited until after my wedding to share my experience because I was afraid of what she'd do to my dress if she saw this review. To make my long story short - I had a shotgun (3 months to plan) wedding and chose a dress that didn't quite fit (yeah yeah, I was gonna lose the weight!). A month before the wedding, I called and was worried that my dress wasn't going to fit and wanted to see if I could get something different. Of course, Jackie was very swift to remind me that there are NO refunds and NO exchanges, and "that I should've thought of this before I purchased the dress". Considering that not only am I coming here for the SECOND time (that's a $5000 investment into two dresses I'll never wear again), but I paid for my dress upfront (no installments). I was appalled to be spoken to so disrespectfully. As I fought back tears, I explained that I was worried about it and all she had to say was that they could take out the zipper and put a lace-up back or SOMETHING. But no. She continued to argue with me about the contract I signed, that I was not AT ALL debating, and I finally just hung up. Thanks to Deborah, the magical seamstress, and lots of encouragement, my dress was molded into EXACTLY what I wanted. However, it took going through a battle field to get to that point. I dang near picked the dress up to sell outright on Craigslist or something just because I was so disgusted with the shop. When I went to pick the dress up, I spoke to one of the receptionists about my experience and she verified that this is a common occurrence and that they get tons of complaints about their poor customer service (obviously this gal was not a contributor). She continued to explain about their staffing issues and how hard it is to keep people motivated to work there. I can definitely understand why!! Went here to try on bridesmaid dresses. The person who helped us, Kayla, was disinterested and not helpful at all. She also was pressuring the bride to order as soon as possible if she expected to receive the dresses on time. Also, they scheduled us for 1.5 hours, but realistically it only took about 45 minutes. BEWARE!!!! I would not ever recommend ordering a dress from this boutique. I ordered a bridesmaid dress for a wedding I am in November, and I ordered my dress at the beginning of February thinking that would be enough time. We were all told that it would take about 2-3 months, fine great it would still give us all enough time get our alterations done. When calling in May to inquire when the dresses would be in I was told that they would only talk to the bride, seriously I paid for the dress but fine I had here call. She was then told that they told us that it would be 6 months and there wasn't anything we could do about it. She has tried to talk to the owner about the situation but they don't seem to care. So we will be lucky if we get these dresses a month before the wedding. There customer service is horrible, they just don't care, and will continually tell you to just calm down and that you'll figure things on how to make this work. Also when I went to go get sized for the dress, they had me change into a silk robe with only what I was expecting to wear under the bridesmaid dress. So me not wanting to wear a strapless bra under my bridesmaid dress because who would chose to get measured with out a bra. I thought they would measure us over the thin silk robe, nope I was wrong she made me lose the robe to get my measurements. After my embarrassment she then told me "oh you bust is a size 8, your hips are a size 6, and your waist is a size 4. So what size dress do you want to order?" Wow that sizing was helpful because I could have told you that I normally wear a size 4/6 with out the embarrassment since they went going to help me pick a size anyways. Also they refuse to size you unless you pay for the dress. I will never recommend this place to anyone, they have no regards to their customers, and have awful customer service. read more

Pros: *making an appointment a week out was easy *Long dress selection choices small, but really good choices *A lot of color choises that matched what I was looking for Cons: *waited 15 minutes after appointment start time, until another associate came to help us, then our lady finally came to take over *Our sales lady only helped with two of the dresses, then dissapeered until the end of the appointment, when we chose a dress. I had to help zip and tie up the girls dresses. *When we found the dress, our sales lady meassured all of my girls, one just had a baby, one just had weight loss surgery and the other two are on diet plans. We told the lady this, she tried to get all of the girls to get a bigger size than there meassurements said they were. When she meassured my maid of honor, whom juast had wieght loss surgery, my maid of honor told her how much wieght she already lost in two weeks and told her that she could lose 50lbs more before the wedding. The sales associate then proceeded to tell my maid of honor, "good maybe then you will look normal again." Then when my maid of honor was looking at the size chart trying to find one that will work after she loses a lot of wait, the same lady told her it to remember the dresses can't be taken out and that the dresses don't have seems for alterations to take in (even though the dresses do have seems for alts). My poor maid of honor was crushed that the lady treated her like this as am I and the rest of my bridesmaids. A call was put into a manager, but still haven't gotten a call back after 3 days. I feel she wanted to push bigger sizes to make more money on alterations, and the things she said to my maid of honor were uncalled for! After the girls pick up there dresses we won't ever go back and we most certanly will not be getting alterations through them! read more

Worst place to go for a wedding dress. The owner Jackie is rude and does not treat customers nicely. My daughter purchased a wedding dress off the rack here and it was the worst experience ever. We were told the dress would be cleaned and any beads or problems with the dress would be fix. The sales lady told us not to worry and that even though the dress was off the rack when we came to pick it up, it would look like a brand new dress. A few months later we went back to pick up the dress and were told they do not clean or fix anything on the dress. They stated they would never say that it would be cleaned or fixed and called us liars (even though there were 5 people who heard the sales lady tell us it would be cleaned and fixed, and my daughter spent an hour with the staff going over the issues with the dress). Very bad customer service... nobody knows what the other is saying or doing. The owner is rude and doesn't care about customers... or keeping them happy... I'm assuming that's because its a one time sale and she doesn't have to worry about repeat customers since its for a wedding... too bad... its supposed to be a happy experience... read more
