Users beware. It's very hard to get real service on their chatbot. And then, when I finally had enough, you have to call their "833" number for port out pin. And there's just nobody there - I've been on the call for more than 45mins so far. They don't tell you when you're about to run out of quota, and instead just cut off service. Then, when you try to pay for additional bandwidth, for some reason both credit card and and another e-form would fail. Then you get to another "payment" tab - they would let you add money to the a/c via e-form, but that money can't be used to buy extra quota. I personally would not touch them again, EVER! read more

horrible and untruthful. I was a 20 year boost customer and they screwed me out of my pay as you go plan, with lots of balance dollars remaining in the plan. On my calls for help Many Boost customer service reps straight out lied, they said I can have a new $10 per month plan also with a free phone. But, when you go to upgrade to the compatible 4G phone at the actual store the managers say that is a gimmick and the reps lie to get you off the phone, the store can only offer you the $35 dollar plan, if they gave me the $10 per month plan it would be a corrupt way to get around the Boost mobile system and the store would eventually get hit with the charges. I was on autopay and they charged me my monthly just days after my transfer. They will not refund (even a portion) of my monthly amount as the say they can't because "your account is closed"..... Three months ago, my daughter ordered me a new phone from Boost Mobile. UPS lost the phone. Then Boost asked me to file a claim with UPS. I submitted the claim with UPS valuing the phone at $300. UPS did not give me the money for the phone. UPS referred me back to Boost Mobile. Boost Mobile refunded my daughter instead of sending me the phone. Now Boost is trying to charge me the full price instead of honoring the upgrade price. I feel like I have been jumping through hoops for months on end to my replacement phone. I have NEVER been treated more egregiously than this sorry incompetent "team" of "customer service representatives." This team of inept bafoons transferred me no less than FOUR times to a different person that could do anything but solve my problem. I was not asking for the world; I must have been the first customer in the world to ask these bumbling idiots for a simple refund because my problem was in fact VERY simple. I paid for cellular service, I didn't get it, I waited a long time, and understandably I wanted my money back, and it took a very unhelpful text conversation on their website, over 2 hours on the phone, on hold for 90% of it, to have FOUR separate people tell me that my problem was simply unsolvable. Don't worry I saved the best for last, I didn't even get my problem solved, I was told that I could either pay for a new sim card or make a whole new account for my account, to report the charges as fradulent to my bank instead of BOOST MOBILE handling the problem, they wanted me to literally commit fraud! I am so sorry I didn't want to inconveince myself further by the incompetence of this company! I am 90% sure it is common practice for every bank ever in their fradulent charges investigation to see if I authorized the purchase, and I did in fact authorize it, when you eat some really bad food at a resturant, you don't go to the bank and file a fradulent charge claim, have them cancel your debit card and investigate who took your card to a resturant. NO! You go back to the resturant and ask for your money back. It is not my banks problem to solve BOOST MOBILES incompetance. I don't even want to give them one star I pay $74 a month for my phone I have no hotspot I just paid my bill when I called customer service they said they have to submit it to Sprint and they're sorry Having this problem I have to wait 24 to 48 hours for my hotspot that's my first issue. They say you get free Internet that's A joke oh it takes me to where I wanna go on the Internet but then it kicks me out saying no service every single time I must've troubleshooting my phone eight times in the last four days.. The most horrible customer experience possible. Here's the good the bad and the ugly: I bought a ZTE XL with unlimited hotspot data from Boost. The good news is that the hotspot and data worked great and fast - at first. Within 2 weeks my phone broke (not Boost's fault, but how they handled it was). So it had to be sent back to the facility for repair. The BAD news is that the guy who worked at Boost and set me up to have my phone returned DID NOT WARN ME THAT I WOULD LOSE ALL MY TEXT AND PHONE MESSAGES (this is illegal by the way since those messages are my personal property). I was sent an email from ZTE who also (DID NOT WARN ME ABOUT LOSING ALL MY CONVERSATIONS). In subsequent support conversations they insisted that they did send me this in an email, and yet I have proof of the emails that I got (from both Boost and ZTE) and never anywhere in any email was there a mention that my text and call messages would DISAPPEAR FOREVER WITHOUT A TRACE. Now, I had moved over from being a long-term IOS customer and this did not occur to me. My phone was gone for 2 weeks. It was ultimately replaced. During the repair process there was NO PHONE attached to my phone number (because as soon as ZTE gets the phone they wipe it clean) so therefore when I got the new phone those past 2 weeks of messages SHOULD HAVE downloaded to my new phone. They did not. When I went to the Boost store, the same guy did literally nothing to help me, he did not do any kind of data sync and made no attempt to retrieve my info - despite my repeated requests. plus he was rude to me and my 8 year old son who had to go to the bathroom. I asked him to find a solution, he absolutely refused to do so. He actually had 3 opportunities to help me and he did not. He also did not accurately connect my phone to the network. A later technician managed to do that (after 3 previous attempts from other support reps). I then spent the next 2 days calling Boost, ZTE and even Google trying to figure out what was wrong. My phone was not connecting to the internet (another separate problem). I finally got that fixed after speaking to MORE THAN 20 PEOPLE. But no messages. All they did was shuffle me off to other people (two connected me to Google where I was promptly disconnected). The last guy I spoke to finally at least understood that there was a problem here where my texts had gone into LIMBO and had NEVER been delivered to any phone. Additionally, in the MyBoost portal I was able to look and see that I had been sent about 18 text messages during that 2 week limbo period - but they ALL SHOWED AS COMING FROM ME - which means that I COULD NOT CONTACT THE PEOPLE WHO TEXTED ME, since I had no idea who they were. After days and endless runaround I still do not know who texted me and cannot contact them to get my missing info. The manager of the store was useless and rude and the online support was completely inept and unable to even give me an accurate explanation for what was going on. In my opinion this guy should be promptly fired for his negligence, rudeness and lack of concern for his customers. I finally found someone at the call center who would actually escalate the issue to the point where they would at least research WHO I GOT MY CALLS FROM. I am now hoping to someday text them and find out what they had to say to me. Sure BOOST has cheap internet service, but no, it is NOT worth it. This is a class action lawsuit waiting to happen. I personally plan to tweet this every day until it is resolved and maybe I will find a few other people to join my lawsuit against this criminal negligence. Apparently Twitter is the only place to get any customer service any more. read more

They charged me $35 to fix the charging port in my wife's phone, when ATT ( provider) said it could not be fixed, and tried to sell us a new phone. Good deal, great resource. read more

Found a charge on my credit card, never used this card at boost mobil or any place in the last two years. Have been trying to contact them with no success, they are part of sprint. They keep giving me numbers too call that go nowhere and then cut you off. I guess that is why criminals use boost mobil. Ya I got the charged dropped through my bank but took hours and now have to shutdown my card and get a new one and contact people linked to this card with my new now. If I could put a negative 5 stars for this company I would. Six days ago someone used my debit card to buy a $843.39 dollar phone from Boost Mobile. The fraudulent person using my card didn't have my correct name or address and Boost still let the charge go through. Not once but they tried 2 times and the only reason it didn't go through a second time is because there were no funds left in the account. Boost did NOTHING to help me. I was the one to call the police and send them to the address where the phone was to be delivered. I was the one to call FedEx and get the delivery stopped and the phone sent back to Boost. They now have their merchandise back and still wont refund MY MONEY!!! I don't even have Boost and believe me...I NEVER will. There customer service is terrible!!! read more

After being a customer for several years, I switched to T-Mobile. It was nearly impossible to get the required account number from Boost to make the switch. The store clerk was very rude when he found out I wanted to change and offered no help, telling me he could not get the account number. I then tried their "customer service" line and was put on hold for several minutes and the call was answered by a non-english as a first language speaker who hung up on me. This happened several times. I spent an entire morning trying to get the needed number and had no success. I finally went back to T-Mobile and they were able to straighten the mess out. This location also does cell phone repairs through fastrepair.com. They advertised that they can fix any broken cell phone screen in 20 min. In reality, it's any iPhone screen. They told me it would cost $80 to fix my LG My Touch Q. Then the lady got on the phone with the technician and then said, well it will cost $100. I said no. As I was walking away she said she's willing to go down to $90 and they would have it ready by noon the next day. She gave me a crappy loaner phone and sent me on my way. When I came back at 1pm the next day, my phone was not ready. She asked me, "Did anyone call you to come pick it up?" I said no one did because she told me to come at noon. She said they didn't get the part in so it wasn't ready. I was pretty mad. I told her that I my phone was also my computer and that I used it for work and cannot use a loaner phone that didn't even text. She then gave me a texting phone but I still couldn't get online. Whatever. I asked for my SD card. She said that she didn't have it and that the technician took it with my phone. I asked her when my phone would be ready and she said, we don't have the part yet, but if we don't get it in someone will call you, otherwise you can come pick it up at noon tomorrow and when it's ready someone will call you. I left the store and found out the loaner phone she gave me wouldn't work without a memory card so I returned to the store to ask for one. Lo and behold, they had my memory card there after all. Why were they holding it hostage? The next day, someone called me to pick up my phone. I came by to pick it up, the place had been broken into. I really wanted badly to negotiate a general experience discount, however, I felt bad they had all their stuff stolen. Although the screen on my phone has been replaced, the screen shorts out all the time now. She said I could come in to get it fixed, but I seriously cannot live through that experience again. read more

If you use Boost Mobile, be prepared for the worst customer service in the business. It's very difficult to communicate with them and it takes hours. There is no security for a lost or stolen phone. The other day, we contacted them about fraudulent activity, and they would not help at all. Someone found an old boost mobile phone and was able to use the previous phone number on the account and charge unlimited everything to an account we thought was closed. The only relief we got was from the credit card company which cancelled the card and is going after BM (that says it all!) for the fraudulent charges. I bought a Samsung S9 phone from a Boost store in Toms River, NJ on Hooper Avenue a while back. I was adamant about being able to control the on/off feature for call waiting as it was not in my previous S5 phone, the operating program was not complete. I was assure the S9 had this feature (eg complete operating program). Wrong, not there again. I remember I went back to the store - forget it, no help whatsoever to correct the problem. Call Boost Customer service, BS all around. Are they not customer service, customer are they not there to correct problems? They say its a Samsung problem, call them. Samsung says it a service provider problem call Boost. I say its a Boost problem. For this reason, Boost bought the phones from Samsung, acted as an agent representing the phone when they sold it to me, I gave my money to BOOST and they took it and now they refuse to do anything about it. I tried to explain it this way, if you go to the a grocery store and they sell you a gallon of milk made at the dairy called THE MOO-MOO DAIRY and you get home and the milk is bad, you go back to the grocery store that took your money because they sold the milk. Its a Samsung/Boost problem with the insufficient program, Boost selling Samsung phones was a transaction between the 2 of them, not me. I shouldn't be put in the middle, I'm not here to fix the problems between Boost and Samsung and yes I now remember again that I went to the Boost store about it early on and they were of no help. I said to the Boost sales clerk, maybe I should just get another provider he said well this phone is locked and you can't transfer it to another provider. I AM URGING ANYONE WHO PURCHASED A PHONE (ANY BRAND) FROM BOOST THAT HAS AN INADEQUATE OPERATING PROGRAM OR DEFECTIVE IN ANY WAY AND BOOST WON'T MAKE GOOD ON THEIR END OR DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT, WRITE TO THE ATTORNEY GENERAL OF YOUR STATE AND COPY THE UNITED STATEs ATTORNEY GENERAL AND LET THEM KNOW THAT BOOST IS SELLING BAD PRODUCT AND WON'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. THE POWER OF THE PEN IS LIKE A MIGHTY SWORD. I'll try the store one more time, give them one more chance but, if they don't make good on this, the ball will start rolling to the government to inform them of Boost's rip off practices. The phone doesn't have what it's supposed to have, Boost needs to get after Samsung about this not me. After 2.5 hours talking with people who; a) did not speak clear English, b) could not answer my questions, c) could not think for themselves, d) kept transferring me to the incorrect departments, and e) promised to send me a new sim card to the address with "my phone number" on file, the number which was completely incorrect -- I shifted the number to my Verizon account as a second line, for less money and far better service - IN THE U.S.A.
