When I arrived, he explained that he needed to do some tests and asked me if I could come back or wait 15 minutes. When I returned, he explained that I needed a new charging port and a new battery. He took the time to explain how he had found these were the two issues, how much it would cost and that he would call me on my wife's phone when it was ready. When I returned to the store, he showed me the parts removed and gave them to me. He charged what he had quoted, and the phone is working perfectly.

DO NOT come to this store -- you'll regret it! I came in on…read morea weekday just to check out current promotions and upgrade my old iPhone 13 Pro Max to the new iPhone 17 Pro Max. I was helped by a woman named Shante (spelling might be off), and the entire experience was a nightmare. She convinced me to add three extra lines to my existing three--lines I absolutely didn't need--just to "qualify" for a deal. She also claimed I'd get a higher trade-in value for my old phone than what T-Mobile actually offered. Everything went downhill from there. She messed up multiple things, including adding too many lines, canceling my Netflix discount, and creating total chaos with my account. I ended up spending days going back and forth between this store and T-Mobile customer service trying to fix her mistakes. In the end, I had to cancel the iPhone order and revert to my old plan. To make things worse, I later found out this location isn't even an official T-Mobile store--it's a third-party dealer with multiple complaints against them. Save yourself the headache and go to an authorized T-Mobile store instead.

I got my smartphone battery replaced at Cellular City Phone Repair in San Leandro!…read more Recently, I noticed my smartphone battery was rapidly losing power. Well, I didn't want to buy a new phone, so I looked into replacing the battery. I watched a few DIY YouTube vids, and decided I better find a professional tech to handle this. Using Yelp Projects, I found Cellular City in San Leandro. James responded to my request, and he asked for details about my phone and the problem. He quoted me an estimate on their website of $99-$149, and about 90-min repair time. I scheduled an appt, and it covered a 2-hour time slot. This place is easy to find, it's in a shopping plaza at Doolittle Drive & Marina Blvd. There's two special parking spots just for customers of Cellular City. James is very professional and easy to deal with. There's no pushy suggestive selling or unwanted services. Battery replacement was $100, no added fees. All done in under 2 hours. James gave me a few tips on how to prolong battery life. My phone runs fine now.

This was one of the best customer service experiences I've had! I made three visits to this store,…read morespeaking to Adrian on the first two occasions, and to Miles on my third visit. They were both extremely helpful and, ultimately, solely thanks to them, my Cricket Wireless problem was solved. I have been a Cricket Wireless customer for several years and, thus far, I'd had no complaints. However, in my experience, when upgrading current customers to 5G, Cricket Wireless did a shoddy job re: preemptive support. Somewhere around last October, 2021, I started receiving texts to say that as of February 2022, my phone would no longer function on the Cricket network. As I had replaced my phone only 18 months previously, I called the number suggested to check whether my "new" phone would work. I was told it would not and that I would need a new phone. Several of my friends know about such things, (plus an affirming conversation with a T Mobile rep!), felt it should work perfectly well. Confusion! I visited the Cricket store in Alameda, where Adrian also told me my phone should work on the network; he suggested waiting until the change to 5G took place and to come back if there was a problem, promising to sort it out. Bottom line: my phone stopped working. Off to Alameda! Adrian was not at the store at that time, Miles was! He said all I had to do was call and have my phone unlocked. I tried to do this then and there but my call to Cricket dropped off. I called back but was told there would be an 18 minute wait. Miles took over and, through his computer, chatted with cricket wireless. Within minutes, my phone was working. A HUGE thank you for the support from both Adrian and Miles. If you have a Cricket problem, it is worth driving to this store for the wonderful, personable service. Plus, they sell all sorts of other things at the store too! Fascinating place...big thumbs up!
