We had an excellent lunch here the other day. The service was great (there were plenty of servers) and the food was wonderful. The restaurant is not the easiest to find as there is construction in the shopping center. And at first, the dropped pin of the yelp directions had us going to the other side of 441. The restaurant is on the west side of 441/SR 7. (I've since asked Yelp to correct this). It's south of the construction, btw. And it's set back under an arch of the strip center. But it's more than worthwhile, even if you have to search a bit. Inside is small but decorated pleasingly. We were greeted immediately on entering and seated in a booth. They have a lunch menu but also a full menu from which to choose your meal, should you wish something not listed on the lunches. Lunches come with your choice of soup or salad. I chose their salad. The crispy lettuce had a generous amount of tasty ginger dressing. My husband chose their hot n sour soup and said it was very, very good. Other soup choices were miso, egg drop, or wonton soup. For his main, lunch he selected one of their sushi/sashimi choices. He went with a combo lunch that came in a bento box --sushi, sashimi, a California roll, and a small section of the box that contained sunimono. It was a large portion of pristine fish, and he liked all of it. For my main, I had their shrimp panang curry. You could choose white, brown or fried rice. I selected brown rice and loved the nutty flavor. She didn't ask my preferred spice level for my curry, and it was a tad spicier than I usually like it. Nose running spicy, but I'm supersensitive so it was more like medium/mild. In spite of the spice, I really liked the flavor of the curry sauce. There was a ton of bamboo shoots along with some green pepper strips and a nice amount of large firm shrimp in the curry sauce. I wound up bringing half my food home for a later meal. In addition to good service and food, the prices are quite reasonable. My husband has already asked when we are coming back here again. I'm sure it will be soon.

I'd summarize Boon's Asian Bistro as having high quality food, good portions, and decent, albeit not inexpensive, prices. Walking into the restaurant, I noticed the pleasant decor, with wood paneling, nice artwork, and soft lights. This is not one of those poorly decorated places with glaring fluorescent lights. The ambiance says: "Relax and enjoy a nice meal." So we did! The extensive menu is a mix of Thai, Chinese and other far East fare. They offer a wide variety of sushi & sashimi rolls and many enticing entrees. I thoroughly enjoyed my kung pao chicken entree. May even be the best I've ever had as it contained a nice mix of fresh veggies, a pleasant sauce and much more chicken than I could eat. The side of fried rice (white and brown rice are also available) was relatively small compared to the entree size though. My wife enjoyed a hefty portion of Thai chicken fried rice. Again, the quantity of chicken was more than she expected. She sub'd pineapple for the scallions and onions. We were charged a small upcharge, but how could she resist the inclusion of pineapple? Unfortunately the amount of pineapple was a bit disappointing. Our entrees came with a side salad and an Asian-inspired dressing, possibly a peanut dressing, but without much of a peanut taste. One person in our group had a lobster roll, which she described as "delightful". The presentation was fabulous as the roll was served on the lobster tail. Boon's menu also features several soups. One of our dining compatriots thoroughly enjoyed the hot and sour soup. Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience. The service was very good, and with so many interesting items on the menu, a return trip is certain.

So glad we finally decided to eat here! We've had takeout sushi from Boon's before and it was great but the dine-in experience was phenomenal. The staff was super friendly and attentive and the place was quaint, clean, with comfortable seating. We started with hamachi jalapeño and crispy rice appetizers, both wonderful. My Panang Curry with beef was to die for. I asked for it spicy and the heat was perfect. My husband got the Kung pao chicken and it was very good. We will definitely be back!

Whatever the wait is, it is worth it. This restaurant is a staple of West Boca, and a must have if you want Thai or sushi. The physical location is sort of hidden as their is no big sign saying "Boon's"out front, just two blue ones saying "Thai" and "Sushi". The atmosphere here is really nice; small, yet intimate. The inside isn't huge, but goes back a decent distance. It's an Asian/new age fashion mix for the decor, which makes it a classy joint to come to eat it. Again, come here in the evenings and expect a wait. Monday through Friday they are open for lunch from 11:30am - 2:30pm. Not really crowded around lunch. Almost all the food here is excellent Thai. The Chicken Pad Thai portion is huge with a good amount of chicken in it, and it can be very hot/spicy. If you enjoy spicy food, get the chicken pad thai, you won't be disappointed. Chicken Fried Rice is fresh, and delicious. Again, another big portion size, and you'll most certainly have leftovers. They also fill each with a good amount of protein. The miso soup is a great accompaniment that comes with some meals, and the salads are tasty too. My favorite appetizer is the Chicken Satay. Just chicken on a stick with a really nice sauce, simple, yet effective. I only have positives to speak about the food here. Price is pretty standard Boca prices, yet not super expensive. Great Asian food, and immersive atmosphere make this a must try if you are in West Boca.

I love Boon's we've been eating here for a while now. My go-to favorite is their Thai Red Curry with Tofu or Shrimp. It's just so good with this order I had it with egg fried rice and an egg drop soup. The food is always fresh and tasty! The owners are kind, awesome people. We teach their lovely children and the mom always brings us souvenirs from Thailand. The outdoor seating area is my usual spot though it's quite public (random patrons can walk through since it's not a large space and is part of the plaza walkway) but it's still intimate and I prefer it over sitting inside.

Hands down the best sushi and sashimi in town. My wife gets the Penang chicken curry every time and it is always great.

Absolutely the worst Asian food I've ever had. Everything was dry and flavorless and we ordered 7 different dishes.

YES! YES! YES! YES AGAIN!…read more My boyfriend and I had date night last Saturday, and it was our first time dining here. The staff was really nice, the restaurant was super clean, and the ingredients were fresh. I had the spicy Taiwanese soup base. My boyfriend had the Coconut Tom Yum. We enjoyed a nice selection of different meats such as pork, lamb, and beef. Seafood options include shrimp, squid, and octopus. Quail eggs, frog legs (if you're into that :), and tofu. The conveyor belt was super fun because you could watch it as it went by and pick up whatever garnishes you wanted. Green onions, mushrooms, parsley, cilantro, cauliflower ... I could go on and on. We also had dessert. My favorite is the red bean and macha ice cream! Can't wait to go back! ***ALSO order the tea***

This place offers a set price for Hot pot and is buffets style as well as conveyor belt delivery for veggies; you just swipe what you want. You start by picking a soup of choice and then you gather the food you need, cook it yourself in the pot and there are instructions and available on the wall for cooking times. It's relatively straightforward. Be careful with how much you grab as they will charge you for any excessive leftovers. I got the tom kha and my fiance got the tom yum. He found his soup to be a little on the lemony side for his taste but I think that's just a preference not a reflection of the quality of the soup. I loved my coconutty tom kha. Our waiter showed us how to operate the dial and gave us information about cooking time recommendation. We ordered some hot tea and had a wonderful time. The buffet appeared to be clean and the food fresh and well kept. I tried a variety of meat as well as seafood. The shrimp had a little bit of a previously frozen kind of taste but the scallops were excellent. I think in the end I'm not a big fan of the red meat even though it cooks quickly and tastes fine I just think preference wise I more so enjoyed loading up on the vegetables and noodles. The best thing I had there was the gyoza, so freaking good, highly recommend. It is worth noting that my fiance love the meat, so the great thing about this place is the variety and how multiple people can sit down and enjoy what they like, together. Drop by!

I ordered an omelet with bacon, tomatoes, and cheddar, along with well-done hash browns and a scooped, toasted everything bagel with scallion cream cheese. My best friend got a whole wheat everything egg sandwich with American cheese. The bagels are perfectly baked--crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. I love the touch of salt they add to their everything bagels. The omelet was cooked perfectly, and they have some of the best cold brew coffee around compared to other bagel shops. We will definitely be back!

You know you're up at the ass crack of dawn when not a single place is open for breakfast…read more 2nd St. Bagels in East Boca opened at 6:30AM and I literally got there as they unlocked the doors. Nothing else in that whole Mizner-adjacent area was open yet -- not even the diner down the block, which doesn't start serving until 7. The bagels looked pale, so I asked if they baked onsite. Answer: no, the fresh bagels usually get delivered later in the morning. That immediately told me everything I needed to know and saved me from making a bad decision. The bakery case looked decent enough -- black and white cookies, pastries, etc. -- but since nothing is actually made there, I have to assume most of it was yesterday's inventory. Ended up ordering a Taylor ham, egg and cheese on a Kaiser with a large coffee. Fifteen bucks. Look, I understand East Boca commercial rents are insane, especially anywhere remotely near Mizner. But $15 for a breakfast sandwich and coffee from a place that isn't even baking its own bagels is absolute highway robbery. To be fair, the sandwich itself was solid. The Taylor ham ratio was right, eggs were fresh, and the Kaiser roll held up. But the whole operation feels less like a real bagel shop and more like an early-morning survival outpost for caffeine-deprived Boca commuters.
