Service is almost always slow and terrible. They are rarely staffed appropriately. The food is subpar it's a generic diner experience. Boomarang is all over Oklahoma some are better than others but it's very hit and miss. The food is also very over priced in my opinion for what your getting portions are small and a lot of it is just frozen fried food. The food is hit or miss as far as taste and quality. One time will eat there and it's fresh and good next time it's lukewarm and barely edible. The chandler location is tiny 4-5 small tables and like 6 booths maybe, a few bar seats. I would recommend trying one of the other local cafes or diners. They do have decent specials every week day. read more

We used Boomerangs as a vendor for military meals before I ever ate at a brick and mortar location. I have eaten at this location since they opened and love it! My mom was a waitress back in the day at a similar diner and I used to have to go to work with her (no daycare back then). It brings back great memories, and the food is good! Waitstaff is fun and interactive! I love sitting at the counter too (just like when I was very young) talking to people who come in. And since this location is on historic RTE 66, I get to meet all sorts of out of town, out of state, and out of country travelers! If I went back to waitressing, I would totally want to work here! read more

We have been coming here for 15+ years! Kids used to love the all day breakfast but in 2022 something changed. A new cook for sure, and not for the best. 1/4 lb hamburgers no longer exist (even though the menu states it. Patties are thin and over cooked to the point it no longer resembled meat. . The worst burger I ever had. From the best burgers to the worst burgers in one year. Portion sizes have gone down as well. Boomerang please do us all a favor and hire a good cook who knows what they are doing. And shame on you new cook to come into a established business like you have any idea what you are doing just to run it into the ground! Our food choices East of 1-35 have just gone down again. Food was good, Ambiance good, but service was sorely lacking. It took 25 minutes to get order taken, and another 25 to get our food. The 2 waitresses and one cashier were all very good at not making eye contact. When they did, they were friendly and courteous, though. Same thing the last time I was here. They must typically run short-handed, which is not surprising in this country's current environment where it pays to not have a job. If you have PLENTY of time, food is good. It was a fine place to eat. We got burgers, chicken fingers and the fried pickles and mushrooms. It wasn't super fabulous, but it was good food. I could tell the chicken was hand battered and it was tender. Fries are pretty standard. The side salad with my chicken was tiny. Just shredded lettuce with some tomatoes and cheese. They had good homemade ranch. The prices were good for the amount of food. Though burgers don't have any sides included so you pay extra. Stopped here for lunch on the way back to Tulsa from okc. My hubby and I ordered the catfish and chicken fried steak. The chicken fried steak was good. The mashed potatoes were average but good. However the fried catfish was DELICIOUS!!! I would love to come back on Friday for the all you can eat catfish! Service was quick! I'm Done! Since we order from this place at my workplace once a week, I already know there is a high chance of a effed up order for carry out. I dared to try it from home tonight. As always, there was missing food. I'm always hesitant to leave a bad review for a local restaurant in a small town. However, this joint needs to be called out! It does not matter who the manager is or who is on staff. There is something about the carryout system of this company that is screwed up! It used to be a good little dinner to eat at. Now it is overpriced and seems as if everything were twice dipped in grease and lard. This is a fun little diner along Route 66. The menu is pretty limited - burgers, sandwiches, chili, chicken fried chicken and steak. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, tater tots and tea. I had pretty low expectations, to be honest with you, but the grilled chicken was excellent. Nice grill char on the outside, juicy inside. Not remotely overcooked. Hubby had the half pound burger. He reports that the burger tasted precisely how you'd expect a burger on Route 66 to taste -- cooked at high temperatures on a flat top. He would have liked the bun to be toasted, but it was an excellent burger nevertheless. The service is off the charts. The waitresses hustled non-stop. They serve beverages in massive glasses (32 oz or so), and I would drink about 1/3 before somebody swept in for a refill. Boom A Rang is one of those obscure restaurants that you will never know about unless you find yourself in the relatively quiet town of Chandler. Boom A Rang is located on the the main strip in Chandler. There's nothing fancy about this restaurant. It serves up a quality product at an extremely affordable price. On my visit, I decided to go with the burger basket special, which only set me back $5.19. It consisted of a traditional cheeseburger and fries. Was it the best burger I've ever had? No. However, for the price, I can't say that I was disappointed in the least. I chose to sit at their countertop (which only seats 4) and was warmly greeted. The waitress was extremely polite and attentive to my questions. (Gotta love that southern hospitality.) The food arrived quickly and after I was finished, I found myself satisfied without being so uncomfortably full that I needed a nap. Overall, I'm a fan of Boom A Rang. Sure, there is nothing fancy about their burgers. But then again, I didn't need, and wasn't expecting, anything fancy. It was just a good meal at a great price. On the way on Route 66 and lung time came around. So, what do we do...check out Yelp of course as it has never done us wrong, and did not on this stop either. This is a little diner with 50/60's decorations and the food is great! Simple menu, but the burgers are scrumptious!!! They had a special today, bacon ranch cheeseburger....yum! Breakfast all day is a plus, but will have to check that out next time. I would recommend the stop to anyone in the area. read more

Love this little diner. Love the atmosphere. It's in the heart of downtown Chandler. You'll have to park along side of the road in front of the restaurant. Very popular place. When my parents and I arrived around 11:30am, some people were still eating breakfast. The place was packed. You could tell this was the place people came to eat. Decorated with 50s paraphenalia, every where you turned were pictures of Marylin Monroe. And Elvis. And others. Mainly Marylin. I ordered the 1/4 burger with added cheese. Awesome. Not greasy where it would leave a meat patty print in your bun. Just right. Fries were just the right amount. And the food is inexpensive but the quality and service was superb. Not an artsy burger place and no franchise burger feel. It's plain old, mom & pop, real Americana burger diner which character. It's a nice find in the middle of Chandler along Route 66. Everything was delicious. The fried pickles, okra, and ranch dressing were a fabulous start. The kids and hubby enjoyed their burgers. There was a bit of a mixup, when the burgers were delivered, but the friendly server made everything right. My toddler enjoyed the chicken tenders served up in a cute classic car box. I had the fried fish and it was absolutely amazing... flakey, moist, with a light dusting of cornmeal, and seasoned to perfection. It was so delicious it didn't need any sauce. I'm dreaming about it as I write. I chose Boom-a-rang, because my road weary children were dying for a milkshake. I'm so thankful they had them on the menu. Of course, they were delicious! We traveled cross country from San Diego to Chicago pulling a '30 toy hauler. We had no issue navigating the streets or parking in the charming town of Chandler. Happened to find this on yelp while on a road trip and I'm so glad we did! It's a mile or so off of I-44. It's a small diner reminiscent of the Route 66 era. All the waitresses were friendly and wore poodle skirts. I ordered the hickory cheddar burger and my husband ordered the chicken strips with onion rings. All the food was delicious. The French fries tasted like fresh sliced potatoes, onion rings nice and crispy,and the bbq sauce on the burger was the right amount of tang/spice. If we ever come back through these here parts again we will definitely come back! read more
