    Egg white omelette
    Robert S.

Good small town diner. Very busy, located in an old gas station. My egg white omelette was good. But it did not agree with me 30 minutes later. My husband got a typical breakfast with 2 eggs and bacon. He liked it. Pleasant server.

My go to spot in Edmond is Sunny Side Diner. I order the corned beef hash every single time and it never misses. It's so well seasoned and cooked perfectly, with that balance of crispy and tender that makes it hard to stop eating. You can tell they don't skimp on flavor. It's one of those dishes I crave specifically from here because nowhere else quite does it the same. The portions are solid, the food comes out hot, and it's always a comforting, satisfying breakfast. Definitely a staple for me.

Had the chicken fried sandwich and fries. It is enough for two people or one very hungry person. Great service! The dinner is set up like an old fashion dinner. Not fancy, but clean and nice.

Food was very good and they had homemade corned beef hash not from a can!!! Wait staff was very nice and friendly. As a former chef and do private catering events i except food should be best as can be.

Delicious food and friendly, quick service! We visited after church and were seated as soon as we walked in. Can't wait to come back!

Stopped for a birthday brunch. The Monte Cristo was unique and tasty. It came with an extra side of jam, but actually wish there was more PB. The steak and eggs were delicious for the birthday boy, but he was disappointed that he could taste the sweetness of French toast on the plate. The chocolate PB French toast was crazy packed with PB.... Now I know why there wasn't enough for the Monte Cristo! Ambiance is loud outside as you're right next to the busy Edmond Road intersection. Service was cordial and friendly, but we did feel a bit abandoned outside at times. We are willing to go back again. Personally I thought their menu had lots of unique breakfast options so I'm willing to give it another shot in the future.

This is, for me, the best place to go for breakfast out in all of Edmond. Everything is well prepared and served by competent and warm waiting staff. I am particularly happy with the breadth of the menu. On top of a large and good selection of classic diner fare, they also have a large plant-based section to the menu, making it a very inclusive place to go with friends and family. Finally, pricing is quite affordable, with plates starting at $6.

Extra charges. Toast is a la carte.

$2.00 for toast. Toast is extra with an omelet? $1.99 for one biscuit w/gravy that was listed as an option with the omelet. $1.00 for a Tablespoon of sour cream. .50 for a Tablespoon of salsa. .75 for using a debit card. $ 6.24 in extra charges. Service excellent. Food tastes good. The location used to be a gas station, so the acoustics in the building make for a fairly loud experience. Nickel and dining customers are unacceptable. Won't be back.

One of our favorite breakfasts since being in OKC the last month. Sweet servers. Food fast. Very tasty. Dog friendly. Close to farmers market. Nice ambience.

I've eaten here before, so not my first rodeo! The pros: it's a beautiful open space for outdoor dining. If you have small kiddos they can entertain themselves. The building use to be a auto mechanic shop in downtown edmond. The cons: parking is a drag, due to location downtown! The place is normally busy during breakfast or brunch and indoor seating can be a challenge. The waitress/server is not very attentive due to be so busy. She comes around but never gives you eye contact so I literally had to track another server down. My order wasn't perfect but I just accepted the mix up. The blueberry lemon pancakes were pretty but nasty. Never ever never ever will I order that again. The coffee which is normally mild was very strong today. I'm a 2 or 3 cup gurl but today a half of a cup. No one asked about my meal but when it was time for the check I mentioned those pancakes that I didn't eat. Which was my whole point of coming out today. I just wanted sone good pancakes and coffee! Not today!!! Not a great experience for me today! Update::::: they took care of my ticket! Thank you! I will come back. I appreciate the attention to my experience today!

Sunnyside Diner on a Sunday morning is busssssyyyy. We were seated inside because the outside tables were full on this beautiful morning. This is my third visit here with different guests each time. The diner has a lot of people on staff and our waiter stayed busy, while the others working the floor were apt to looking out for tables with constant eye contact. Our guests ordered a mimosa that took a considerable amount of time to come out. For me, this diner is consistently a four star experience. Great food, good service, but a few details were missed this visit like a dirty coffee cup with old gravy in it and a sticky table. If you're worried about parking, there's a parking lot on the corner of S littler and 2nd street that is a short walk to the diner, with access to electric charging stations.

I had high hopes about this place as my brother was in town visiting and said he read a good review…read moreabout it. The decor is very eclectic and kitschy...it looks like they furnished it with goodwill. Which is not a negative thing, in my book...just a specific aesthetic. Upon first glance, I was impressed by the menu and its extensive offerings. Everything sounded very good and we were hungry having a late breakfast. I ordered an iced french vanilla latte to drink and it was pretty good. I'm not a coffee connoisseur, but I can appreciate a sweet, well balanced latte. The waitress seemed panicked from the moment she introduced herself. She was kind and polite, but you could tell she wanted us to hurry up so she could get to her other tables. I think the poor girl was maybe the only person serving our party of three and another party of like 15 that came in, so it was clear she was overwhelmed. The ordering process felt very rushed and the moment we stopped talking, she launched towards the back. I've served for over 20 years, so I have compassion for being "in the weeds", but the key to good service is to not make the customer bear the weight of your urgency, in my opinion. Nonetheless, we ordered our food with anticipation. I was excited that they offered eggs Benedict in several different forms, but I ordered it the old fashioned way with hash browns as my side. The food took a reasonable amount of time to cook. Once we received our meals, everything looked really good. As I cut into my eggs Benedict, I realized the egg wasn't fully poached (it was still gooey) and the meat they used wasn't actual Canadian Bacon, but rather a sliced deli meat. I'm assuming it was ham. It looked like they pulled it straight out of a package from Walmart and slapped it on the English muffin. The food was just not good and definitely not worth the price. My brother got an omelet and there was cheese on top, but it was literally a sliced cheese laid on top of the omelette and it wasn't even fully melted. I respect this establishment as it is a small business and I give them kudos for what they did well. I would recommend they reduce their menu selections and focus on offering better quality ingredients for the items they serve. As for the service, it's a human experience. Some days are good and some days are bad. My only recommendation is that if you're "in the weeds" let your table know that you just got sat with a big top and you need to catch up, but you're going to take great care of them. That feels much better than feeling rushed. All in all, I don't envision myself coming back to this place unless I hear some significant changes are made regarding the quality of ingredients in their food.

We were greeted warmly and offered to take any table as only a couple other tables were taken. The restaurant is clean and homey with a European/ French influence in some of the food items and decor. The soft jazz playing added to the French bistro vibe. Being our first visit, we chatted with the new owner who took over from her sister. She was very friendly and engaging. When asked why beignets were on the menu she said because she loved them and travels to visit family in France on the regular. We ordered one to try and it was just like what you find at Cafe Du Monde in Jackson Square. The croissants looked tempting and like what we've had in French restaurants, but we didn't have any. The menu is undergoing a few changes expanding the breakfast offerings but will retain most of the menu items. The server was also very friendly, thorough and checked on us several times. He was also very engaging and helped us with the menu. I had the Western Omelet, potatoes and toast (brioche). The "European Butter blend" had a much better flavor than the usual packaged butter. The omelet was good and the salsa very tasty, but not spicy. My wife loved that they offered "Small Bites" for smaller appetites. She had 1 egg (cooked a perfect over medium), 2 slices of bacon and French toast (1 slice cut in half). She enjoyed her meal. We will definitely be back to sample more of the menu.

It's my understanding that cookies and other sweet treats will still be available. The menu is loaded with new and exciting choices. Deciding what to choose was a great problem to have. We started with the Trio Dipper with house made chips and balloon bread, which is like pita bread on steroids and just as delicious. The dip selections were terrific and we were brought more chips when ours ran low. Two of us ordered the Tuscan Chicken. They were exceptional bites. They were parmesan breaded chicken fritters stuffed with the tomatoes and cheese. It's an inventive take on a traditional recipe and a tasty home run! My husband ordered the Chicken Piccata, looking for a lower calorie option. The lemon butter wine sauce was delicious and it's a terrific option. The last guest chose the fried chicken which is an old and familiar favorite. You absolutely cannot go wrong. We ended the night sharing a piece of carrot cake and a salted caramel cookie.

This time, we switched it up and went for lunch... and honestly, it just didn't hit the same. The place still has that classic diner charm--walls packed with memorabilia, a laid-back vibe, and a friendly staff that makes you feel welcome right away. It's one of those local spots that feels like it's been part of the community forever. I ordered the Reuben, hoping it would redeem my recent disappointment with a French Dip in Denver. It wasn't bad... just not what I was hoping for. My preference is a traditional rye bread so I thought this would be a winner. The sandwich was decent, but nothing memorable. Fries were another miss for me, but that one's partly on me--I didn't ask for them well done like I usually do. Now, my wife's meal? That told a different story. She went with the cheeseburger and onion rings--and those onion rings absolutely stole the show. Crispy, golden, and according to our server, made with an in-house batter. If you come here for lunch, do yourself a favor and order those. One thing I still appreciate is the unique menu presentation--it's styled like a newspaper, complete with articles, with the actual menu tucked into the center. A fun touch that adds to the diner experience. Overall, lunch was just okay this time around. If this had been a breakfast visit, I suspect the rating might've been higher--that's where this place has really shined for us in the past. The Verdict: * Great diner atmosphere * Friendly service * Onion rings = must order * Lunch (this visit) = just average We'll be back... but next time, we're sticking with breakfast.
