This is a retro looking gas station, but there was also a car show going on while we were there. It was still daylight when we got there so we decided to eat at the soda shop. The food was good. I got the chicken sandwich and fries, my husband got chicken strips, mashed potatoes, and gravy. I really wanted to try the Root Beer Bread Pudding. But I didn't. The girls behind the soda bar were very friendly. Here's a first few things you should know. Pops 66 it's located in Arcadia Oklahoma. The soda bottle is 66 feet tall it even has a straw in it. Pops opened in 2007 and they have over 700 different sodas to pick from. They have picnic tables, outback, but I didn't see anybody sitting at them and there was a bunch of people here.

It took over an hour from the time we placed our order to receive our food. We weren't alone -- every table around us was experiencing the same delay. Kitchens get backed up; we understand that. Between the four of us, we have worked at six restaurants combined. We are not unsympathetic customers. What genuinely stunned us was the complete indifference -- from our server and from management. No acknowledgment, no apology, no discount, no dessert offer. Not even a complimentary soda. At *world-famous* Pops, that's a remarkably low bar to miss. Anyone who has worked in hospitality knows that a bad experience can almost always be salvaged with a simple, sincere gesture. The absence of any such gesture didn't read as an oversight. I can go to Longhorn Steakhouse and get the Flo filet for $21.79 and save 12$ a steak. I am disappointed in the quality/selection/pricing of their steaks now.
