If you're hungry this is your place, promise it will not disappoint! The staff is beyond amazing, very welcoming and friendly. Provided good recommendations and always checked on us. The wife had the rib dinner, super delicious and flavorful. It comes with choice of sides, the potato salad was mustard based, not over powerful, just right. Okra crisp and hot. I had the 2 meat combo dinner; smoked slice chicken and brisket. The sliced chicken was moist, delicious and great tasting. The smoked sliced brisket, tender and my palate was jumping. Comes with choice of 2 sides which I had the country style green beans (loved them) and smoked BBQ beans which definitely kicked it all off. For dessert we had the blackberry cobbler with ice cream. Oh my, oh my!! I highly recommend stopping here if traveling through or even make a trip to come because it's well worth it. Service is excellent and the food is outstanding. A big shout out to Jana and staff, thank you for being so warm and welcoming.

The chips were warm, slightly dark from being over toasted. My wife had the beef enchiladas with red sauce. The ground beef in the enchiladas were well seasoned. They were covered in a disappointing tomato-based sauce. The beans were good. I had the Burrito Don Pepe's Special. A large burrito stuffed with a fajita mixture of steak, onion, peppers and tomatoes. The filling was hot, but the plate was not. The green sauce was cold. It still had a chill from the refrigerator. Good queso in the middle and the tomato sauce on the opposite end. I wonder if these were canned enchilada sauces? Aside from the enchilada sauces, the big flaw was not serving either meal on a good hot plate. Mexican food is not appetizing on a cool plate. It is a comfortable restaurant with friendly attentive service.

Try the tortilla soup to start with a great broth to start filled with veggies and chicken. Tomato based soup but it was not too overwhelming. Had a margarita to start that was not equally proportioned and tasted off but was still not the worst I have had. Overall good small town spot for weary traveler.

The Chili Cheese Dog with fresh, raw onions (as foretold by the cheesy appetizer) was dense and flavorful, maybe the best no-frills chili dog in Oklahoma. My picky 13yo ate his first First Fried Apple pie with a slice of vanilla. His eyes got really big, and the plate was clean in an instant. The big treat, though, is the full-quarter slice of Poor Man"s "Pecan" Pie made with oats, not pecans. Served hot with a perfect slice of vanilla ice cream (yes, it's a tray-cut square) with a perfect crust -- This may be my favorite dessert ever, in the whole wide world. Of course the whole wide world needs more innovative classic food stops like this on Route 66. Also, ask to see their fire-surviving copy of Eternal Route 66 by Chuck Williams, an ironic souvenir from a prior iteration of The *eternal* Rock Cafe. If you're a fan of Sally the blue Porsche from the Disney Pixar movie Cars, ask to meet the owner, Dawn. She *might* tell you her story that inspired the sweetheart sports car, and John Lasseter, Pixar's chief creative officer is happy to confirm when visiting with memorabilia gifts that decorate the cafe. How do they do it? The fried zucchini app was crisp and would have been great but seriously over salted so we really couldn't eat them.
