We got pizzas from this location a few times before, but they weren't as good as the ones from Lewis that I mentioned above. However, we are pleasantly surprised by this Glenpool branch today. We ordered the large, customized pizza via their app and set the pick-up time. We can get our pizza right on time. The quality and presentation were done at the highest level. You can easily tell by the way they distribute the toppings. And it's cooked perfectly.

She was efficient, encouraging, and looked like she enjoyed working with the other employees. There were A LOT of band students, and it took a long time to serve everyone, but the workers did a good job and didn't seem to break a sweat. They kept the tables clean too. I enjoyed my beef n' cheddar, which was very full of meat and cheese (always a good thing!), and I enjoyed my warm cherry turnover. The cookies my friends got were perfectly soft and a hot, chocolate, yummy mess!

We have eaten there in the past with good results and figured we definitely needed a burger, onion rings and a hand made shake. Our trip down Route 66 was as pleasurable as always and when we arrived at Anchor 66 the parking lot was full. Luckily one table was leaving just as we walked in so we got an immediate seat but here were also stools available at the counter which would have been perfectly fine with us. My wife ordered the Grandma Retha burger and I ordered the Sooner burger. We shared an order of onion rings and we each ordered a milkshake. Everything was great. The burgers were hot and juicy the onion rings were cooked perfectly and were very tasty. The shakes were definitely the best we have had on some time. We will definitely be returning to Anchor 66 soon for a other dose of goodness. The staff were very friendly and accommodating for us. It was a pleasurable dinner tonight. We will be back!!

We came in for lunch as a group of six, traveling through town, where we could sit at two booths, or at the soda bar across from the grill. The server met us with menus we could use inside or outside on a being developed patio. We ordered drinks, appetizers, and burgers from the menu, not knowing what to expect. One thing I was sure about was that if this diner didn't have something special, it would have never survived as long as it has. The appetizers- (pictured) corn ribs & fried mushrooms were good and served to order. The hamburgers and fries were fresh, warm, and well-prepared. The price was a little more than expected but the hamburgers they delivered were more than what was expected as well and I would order the same again.

As for service in particular, if you decide to stop in and dine I hope you get a waitress named "Jordan". Besides having the best name ever, Jordan is friendly, attentive and helpful. They are known for offering gluten-free food but I am not sure if their whole menu is gluten-free. This was a perfect opportunity to try it out since it was a week day. We arrived for an early dinner so it was not busy at all. It was really quiet inside since it wasn't busy but I can only imagine how fun it is during their busy times. They are not open Saturday and Sunday. It is a small location but easy to find. As we stepped inside we were a little lost as to what to do first, wait for a hostess, find a table and wait to order or walk up to the small counter area to order. My husband asked and we were instructed to order then find a table to sit. I love a good Chicken Fried Steak so I already knew what I was going to order. It came with mashed potatoes and of course, gravy, plus a roll. It would be nice if another veggie was offered to off-set a carb heavy meal. My husband ordered the hamburger steak with mashed potatoes, green beans and roll. He later noticed a very tiny sign next to the register advertising pot roast and was a little disappointed he didn't see that first. Pot roast is his favorite. For dessert, he thought he saw coconut creme pie in the cooler but it was lemon meringue which he is not a fan. He settled on the pecan pie cheesecake that we shared. It was a surprisingly great pie. All of our food was great and exceeded our expectations. We would like to come back again so he can try the pot roast and I will order the CFS again. This restaurant definitely has a small town feel where they know their regulars by name. I would recommend it to friends and family.
