    What a pile of beef!

BLUF: When a hotdog just isn't enough there's Boog's. Plenty of succulent beef, toppings bar with onion, horseradish, and sauces. You won't eat again after this pile of grub. Serving staff will guide you to the end where you pay at one of the barrel topped tables at the end. A bit confusing but you'll be guided through. I loved the vinegar and celery seed-based slaw, but they need to cut back on the salt on the chips. Could not eat the chips nor could my brother-from-another mother that's why it's 4 not 5 stars. Not inexpensive but good and you can choose beef, turkey, or ham.

How can you not go to Boog's when at an Orioles game? People are lined up around the stadium for this stadium staple. My son and I had the pit beef sandwich. 2 sandwiches came to approximately $26. That's with no add ons. Just a straight up sandwich on what's comparable to a hamburger bun. We didn't get any add ons because I've found that Camden Yards has the best hot dogs out of the stadiums I've been too... So needed to save room for that. Sandwich was excellent. I had the horseradish on mind and my son had BBQ sauce. Very tender and tasty. They are way overburdened, so be prepared to be rushed, but that's ok. Hopefully you're lucky like us and get a table right by the establishment! Is it good? Yes. Is it worth it? For the experience alone, yeah.... you have to.

BEWARE: They made a duplicate charge for $36.03 on my VISA card. Original transaction date 06/22/21 which posted on 06/24/21 Duplicate transaction date 07/20/21 which posted on 07/31/21 Ive opened a dispute with my bank and am also alerting BBB to see if this is a one time error or a multiple time situation. Boog's BBQ charges more than enough for their pit sandwiches; they certainly should not be submitting duplicate charges a month later!!

Wait: None, we got to the game a bit early for drinks and food. Server: They were SUPER understanding of my Gluten Free needs. The way they handle things is awesome. I know it takes extra time when they're already busy, but, I hope they know how grateful us gluten free folks are. Food Quality& Order: I got Turkey Regular Boog's on a Gluten Free bun w/ Coleslaw and I slathered it in OG BBG. It was delicious and I couldn't finish it for the life of me. Not to mention the gal behind me in line was also Gluten Free. The nice lady serving us gave us a full rundown of all of our gluten free options at the condiment bar. It's the little things. Atmosphere& Decor: It's at Camden Yards, my Yankees won (again)... overall and awesome experience every time!

Not enough BBQ sauce in Camden Yards to contend with how dry that turkey sandwich was! Huge disappointment.

    Beef big boog

Tasty food, horrible value. The big boog sandwich comes in at a whopping $15.75. However, when everything else in the ballpark is also ridiculously expensive, it's not too far out. The chips are doused in old bay seasoning, which leaves them extremely salty. The meat is tasty, but the bottom bun was so soggy it completely disintegrated upon picking it up. One of the better options at the ballpark, but they sure take advantage of the fact that you can't bring food in.

If you're talking Baltimore pit beef, Chaps Pit Beef has been a staple for years, and after coming here for over a decade, I can confidently say it still delivers every single time. Their new location, just a stone's throw from the original humble shack, is a huge upgrade. You get the same iconic food, but now with a much larger dining room that actually makes it easy to bring a group without fighting for space. It's the best of both worlds. Same old school flavor with a more comfortable setup. On my most recent visit, I stuck with my go to. A loaded hoagie absolutely packed with pit beef, corned beef, sausage, and turkey. It's massive, messy in the best way, and exactly what you want when you're craving something unapologetically Baltimore. I paired it with a large order of fries, which were piled high and perfect for sharing. Decided to switch it up a bit and try the Holy Cod fish sandwich too, and that ended up being a sleeper hit. Huge portion of crispy fried cod, topped with fresh coleslaw on a soft bun. Not something you usually go to Chaps for, but honestly worth ordering. Everything came out crazy fast, which is always impressive considering how busy they can get. Quick stop at the condiment bar is a must. Load up on the free pickles, onions, Carolina Gold mustard, and that tiger sauce. The horseradish and mayo combo just hits different on pit beef. Bottom line, Chaps might not be a hidden gem anymore, but it doesn't need to be. It still outperforms most spots in the pit beef game and continues to be one of the best sandwiches you can get in Baltimore.

It didn't even have the smell or feel of a proper pit beef place. Customer service also needs improvement. The cashier taking our order seemed more focused on watching the baseball game on TV than helping customers. It might be worth turning the TV off near the counter so staff can give customers the attention and service they deserve. Overall, not a great experience.

The space is basic, but the food is what keeps people coming back. The portions are big without feeling sloppy. The chicken katsu is solid: crispy on the outside, still juicy inside, and not drowned in sauce. The BBQ plates are dependable -- sweet, smoky, and cooked well -- especially if you like a mix of meats. Nothing feels overdone, and that's kind of the point. The mac salad deserves a mention because it actually tastes like mac salad, not some watered-down side. Creamy, simple, and it pairs well with everything else on the plate. Rice is cooked right, which shouldn't be a big deal, but it is. It's not trying to be trendy or upscale Hawaiian food. It's just straightforward comfort food that fills you up and tastes good. If you're looking for a reliable spot when you want something hearty and familiar, Halo Hawaiian gets the job done.

I also got some teriyaki sauce on the side and I'm glad I did because the pork definitely needed a little sauce. There were onions in the pork that I wished were cooked a bit more, they basically steamed. The flavor was delicious but the takeout bag leaked pork juice (?) all over my other groceries so that kinda sucked. That's the only reason for my 4 stars this time, but the food was amazing as always!
