We love Bonobos for the quality of their clothing and the fact that you can mix and match pant and jacket sizes, which is a real plus for younger people. Also, the staff at U Village are wonderful ... helpful, knowledgeable and patient. The quality is great and the prices are perfect, especially for young people who are growing and will need new sizes shortly. Important note: This is not a business where you walk in and pick from their stock of clothing. This is a *fitting* shop, where you find the size and fit of the clothing you want, then the salesperson gets the clothing you want shipped to your door within about 5 business days. Every time I've come here, the personnel have been extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I've been coming to this shop for about 5 years now, and have always had an excellent time finding the perfect look for the event I'm preparing for. Bonobos has put a lot of thought into the customer's experience, and it really shows in their staff and presentation. I can't say enough good things about this place. "Um, no..." Really wanted to like Bonobos. Their business model is built on trying on samples in their "guide shops" for size and style - then ordering online since they don't carry inventory. However, when your guide shop staff (the "guides" in the guide shop) are rude and unhelpful and the shop doesn't have much in terms of samples and no inventory (the "shop" in the guide shop) - why go there? I've been there three times over the last year. Every time the staff has ignored me, their only customer on every occasion. Instead they talked amongst themselves or were on a computer/phone, even after trying to get their attention. Yesterday (11/1/18 2:00 pm) a lone male staff member was sitting down with a laptop. Didn't look up. I did three laps around the small shop, then asked if he could show me some coats - in particular car coats. He looked dumbfounded then showed me what he said was the only car coat in the store. When I pointed to four other car coats around the store, he stammered and mumbled "I guess..." When I asked about sizing, he mumbled a response and went back to his laptop in the corner. Confused I hung around for a few minutes thinking he was looking for my size. Nope, a few minutes later when I asked if he was looking for my size, all he said was "um, no." So, that's what I say about this shop: "um, no." read more

The service here is an abomination. Rude and judgmental. I did not come here to get treated like garbage during my weekend. My wife and I came here (4/29/2018 at 3:30pm) to shop for some men's shirts. There was one store associate busy with a customer, and the other two associates standing around talking to each other - they didn't acknowledge or offer to help, even though I had been shopping for 10-15 mins and needed help. I decided to try on some shirts and had to ask the one available associate for help with a size. Young woman with dark hair and faux leather jacket. She looked me up and down and her immediate response was, "Have you even shopped here before?" Excuse me? Um, yes, in fact I have shopped at bonobos before - both online and offline. But conversations with other human beings usually begin with a "hello" and are usually followed up with "how can I help?", particularly if service is your job. I told her that yes, I've shopped there before and that I just needed help with a size. She paused for a few awkward moments, and then proceeded to explain that "today is for appointments only". Ok....then how/why did you help the other 3 customers that walked in during the past 15 minutes? She stumbles on that one. As I'm talking to her, the other store associate (tall, dark skinned, cool haircut but wearing way too tight of a blazer) sees one of the shirts that I was holding in my hands, and asks me if he can take that shirt and give it to his own customer. What?? Is there some kind of caste or ranking system of customers at Bonobos, because it sure feels like it. I respond, "No dude. The reason I'm holding the shirt is because I wanted to buy it." He looks utterly confused, and walks away to look for that shirt in the back. I'm pretty stupefied about how incompetent and rude the associates were here. I tried on 1-2 more shirts but was in a really sour mood after the way I was treated, and we walked out without buying anything. Won't be coming back here, definitely did not feel welcome. read more

I made an appointment for a 60 minutes visit and was ready to spend about $2K. What a disappointment! The sales person measures me and then hands me a jacket that is way too small for me. When I walk out of the changing booth she has engaged with a walk-in and proceeded to ignore me. I stood there for a few minutes hoping she would excuse herself and come back to me but she did not. I turned around put on my jacket and walked out of the store. Then I call their customer service number and the guy on the other end of the call was like ok whatever in his attitude. So this place is not for minorities, if you are a white dude you may have better luck. Just like the guy who walked-in without an appointment. read more

I've come in for 2 fittings. Everyone is always cheery and happy to help out the fashionably-challenged dude. The clothes fit well for me, but it's always good to check out on your own. You're never pressured to buy because the business is mainly online. Still, it doesn't hurt to see what they have. The quality is good, and don't let the parent company (Walmart) discourage you into thinking you'll be a mainstream pleb. Affordable quality, just save up a paycheck or two, the stuff lasts a long time and is versatile in how dudes wear clothes. Buying pants is usually a nightmare for me in terms of finding the right fit, but my recent experience here basically guaranteed that I'll keep coming back. Went in last September because I heard how good their chinos are and wanted to try different fits to see which would look best. That's where I met Mavin. This dude is cool. Super friendly and he knows what they have and what's good. He made some recommendations and I tried out different fits, slim fit for me was best. Ordered some pants for my boyfriend on their website as a graduation gift, and didn't realize that he doesn't care for pleated pants. After finding out that Seattle has a Bonobos fitting store in Seattle (who knew that living in a major urban area was so convenient!) and that they could do returns and exchanges, we went into their location in U-Village. Elise was beyond helpful. She helped him pick out colors that would help make his wardrobe look more diverse, and wasn't pushy about other colors or styles. We picked out what he liked, and they shipped it straight to our house. The return of the unwanted pants was easy: I got the money back into my account that day. read more

Friendly staff, offer you a beverage when you come in. This is a fitting room / display store for its online retail store. You can see the types of clothes and find your fit, then order them online. Cool concept and saves me from having to carry bags around. They have a ton of fit types of all their shirts and pants as well, so most body types should find a good option. read more

So this is supposed to be a "fit shop" where you can try on all the sizes then they'll ship it to you. Problems - They don't actually carry all the sizes to try on. Especially is if you're slim or slight. Excuses. "It's so unusual, so unique, they just started making that size.." You have to hope your size fits when it arrives (which will be later than promised). They admitted that Bonobos has size consistency problems and are looking for new mills (as if I care). So... you can try on a 28 in the store, and the same exact thing when delivered may fit completely differently. I ordered two of the same thing and measured 1/2 inch difference between them. Besides not having all the sizes to try on, and variability in what you'll actually get delivered, they also don't offer any tailoring. Nope. You're on your own there. So, why go to this store at all if you can just order online? No reason. It's pointless. I'll be your "fit guru." Order two sizes online then free-return the one that doesn't fit. Even for a free service this is a waste. They were nice though. They very nicely delivered a pointless service. read more

Really interesting concept in men's clothing. This is a great place to have one on one attention from a fitting consultant. There are several cuts of pants, shirts, and jackets to fit various body types. There are great staple items for your wardrobe from casual to dressy. I went in just to check it out, but ended up spending about 30 minutes with Dylan trying on pants, shirts, jackets, etc. He was able to hone in on what I was comfortable with and what looked good. Once we established the sizes and styles I preferred, Dylan set up an online profile and sent a follow up email with everything I liked. Now I can order from the comfort of my home computer. Keep in mind the store has items to try on but you then order and have them shipped to you. They have a liberal return policy and will serve you a beer during your visit. You can set up a fitting consultation appointment and also get 20% of you first order in the shop. It is designed to be in easy experience for guys, even those that hate shopping. read more
