This is a korean bakery located inside a Korean Supermarket. There's a variety of breads, pastries, and cakes to choose from. The owner is very nice and amicable, always give me 2 free breads to take home whenever I placed order for a cake. The store is pretty clean and organized. There's always freebies if you buy a lot. Not just that, the korean bread is soft and perfect sweetness. You won't regret it ~! Go get yours if you haven't
My partner has been on a sweet potato kick. From a guy who opts out of potatoes except for fries, he suddenly discovered the flavors of sweet potato. I thought, what about a sweet potato cake. Found two Korean bakers that had sweet potato cakes on the menu. It was kismet this bakery was just down the street from a restaurant we chose for his birthday dinner. I called and the owners took down my name and the fact I'll be there around 7 at night. Didn't even take down payment info or number. I got there a little after 7 & saw they had sweet potato cakes left. Reasonably priced too! $40 for larger and $30 for smaller. I thought $30 would work for just 4 of us but for $10 extra, my partner thought we should splurge. The owner remembered me from the phone call and addressed me by name. While his wife was ringing me up, her husband came up to me with a bag of bread to throw in. That was so sweet. With their service, variety and price point, we'll be back. The cake was delicious too. Not sure how cold their display is but the cream filling in the middle was just cold enough to taste like soft serve ice cream. Intentional or not, it was delicious!
A lot of yummy pastries and goodies here. Don't think they sell individual sliced cakes, but they have a napoleon cake that's really good. As always, my fav is the red bean bun!
Stopped by on my birthday and picked up a mixed berry cake. It was absolutely delicious.... fresh, tasty, and beautifully made. What really stood out was the kindness of the owners. They were incredibly welcoming and even gave my 14-year-old daughter two complimentary breads. Great service, great people, and great desserts. I highly recommend supporting this bakery!
Ordered a last minute chocolate cake for my brother's birthday yesterday. The bakery was so sweet, they even included 2 extra pastries as a thank you for supporting their small business. The cake was packaged very carefully and the chocolate was so good. Perfect amount of sweetness and the cream was light and delicious. Will definitely order from them again.
This little bakery is such a hidden gem, tucked away in the corner of a supermarket. We purchased a wide variety of their pastries, as well as two cakes - one large and one small - as some gifts for a friend and his family nearby. The bakery is family owned and the owners helped us and were SO nice and sweet! They have a surprisingly large selection of Korean pastries, breads, and decorative cakes available - definitely on par with bakeries like 85° for example. And they do pre-ordered custom cakes as well. We grabbed a small Panda Cake bc it was just way too cute to pass up haha! And a large Mixed Berry Cake bc it was so beautiful and elegant - sure to make an impressive gift. We also grabbed quite a few different pastries for the gift basket and some for ourselves of course lol! Our friend and his family absolutely loved the cakes - they were so impressed! And we all enjoyed everything we tried - I especially loved the Powdered Donut with Yellow Creme - such a soft, smooth texture, light flavors and not too sweet - very excellently made. The Strawberry and Creme bun was good too but a little too much creme for my preference - still a nice flavor though and the strawberries were definitely fresh. Prices are extremely reasonable for the quality- especially for the cakes - they run between $25-$40 and are so good - also large portions too. And the sweet couple that own the shop just couldn't be nicer! They trip over themselves trying to help and make sure you leave very satisfied- even in spite of the language barrier lol! And if you buy a cake, they give you some extra pastries to say thank you lol. Their location is a tad random lol - You'll find them inside Market World which is a huge Asian supermarket full of random little shops all along the edges and there's even a restaurant inside. Bonjour Bakery is located to the far right as you walk in. There's plenty of parking in the large shopping plaza and lots of other shops as well. We'll definitely be back even though Diamond Bar is out of our way! I definitely need to try one of their loaves of bread next time - Thank you!
Fist time and last time coming here. Fist: Please change the wording of your Yelp Check In promotion to "buy a cake" instead of "any purchase. That is very confusing. This older lady assisted me with payment specifically said a cake need to be purchased to redeem. I'm okay without any Yelp Check in and would still support local business as usual but please no click bait and false advertising. First time I encountered this. There was not anyone at the bakery section of the supermaket when we entered. After I grabbed a few items to purchase, an older lady came out and kept looking my way like I was going to run out of the store with their pastries. I noticed they use simple ingredients which I like in pastries but overall experience was not positive. Well, I finished making my selection and walked up to the register to pay. No greetings "Hello" "Thank You" whatsoever. I paid and left. 2 Stars for the simple ingredients and good sweet-taste patries. There are quite a few other bakeries around Rowland Heights/Walnut so I definitely won't be returning here
This bakery is located within the Market World. Owned by a nice friendly Ajeossi, it a lot of options for pastries, bread, & cakes. He will give you a couple of free pastries if you make a cake purchase. I've come here a few times already & they for the cakes & they're usually priced around $25-35. I even called to order a large cake for maybe 15-20 people which was about $70, which isn't too shabby. Be sure to give at least a day's notice for anything custom. Definitely coming here for all my cake needs & you should too.
While I was doing some grocery shopping at the Korean market, Hannam chain I found a bakery inside. The male Korean owner helping me was super nice and kind! They had a variety of pastries and everything was fresh and delicious! Definitely recommend this spot if you are craving pastries in the area for sure.

My Church Parents Karmen and Carlos initially intended to buy my Birthday Cake at Paris Baguette but Karmen was baffled by how expensive the Cakes were there and Carlos suggested Bonjour Bakery inside the Korean Cave Market a few shops down :0) Carlos said none of the Cakes at Paris Baguette made him think of me, but when He saw this Pandamonium Power Princessa Design He said "That's Lisa right there!" Hahaha!!!! Made a custom Oreo cake for my 8 year old son's birthday that was beautiful and loved by everyone! The bakery is so cute and I was even given a free pastry. I chose the cream puff it was delicious.
The bakery is located inside the Hannam Chain Market World supermarket. Saw the high reviews on both Yelp and Google, so I decided to give it a shot and ordered a birthday cake, but I regretted it. The Paris Baguette next door probably would have been so much better in terms of both food and service. I placed my order for an 8" cake over the phone a couple of days in advance to pick up over the weekend, but when I arrived at the pick up time, there was no cake ready and it looked like they didn't even have any record of my order. In a bind and short on time, I had to purchase a smaller pre-made 6" cake on the spot from their display case and provide the cake message to the staff again. Not a great experience already. Also, the staff mainly speak Korean, so if you don't speak the language, communication may be an issue. In terms of the cake, it was definitely subpar as well. Texture was soft, but not as moist as it could/should have been. And the mixed berry filling was still FROZEN when served which made cutting the cake (with the provided plastic cake knife) difficult and the cake itself hard to eat. Still giving 2 stars for their last minute effort to try to put something together and the lady seemed to want to make up for things by giving me a free pastry bun. But based on my overall experience, the business is not reliable and the cake wasn't even that tasty, so it really doesn't deserve anything beyond that.

I needed to buy a cake and found this bakery via Yelp. I am new to the area so am always looking to find my new go to places. This place had great reviews so I decided to give it a try. Bonjour Bakery is a little shop tucked away inside a Korean supermarket, so if you're trying to find a sign for it, you won't find one outside. I went to pick up a sweet potato cake, they offer two round sizes, a small one (6"), and a larger one (I think 8-9"). I got the small one. I was greeted by an older gentleman who didn't really speak English, but we managed to communicate what I wanted. The lady who worked there decorated the cake I picked out beautifully. Both were very nice people. Of course I can never go into a bakery and not walk out without buying a bunch of baked goods to try. The cake case had a variety of beautiful cakes, and the shelves were full of different baked goods, some I was unfamiliar with. I appreciated that they listed the ingredients on the name tags so I knew what items to avoid (due to my children's allergies). I picked up a coffee bread, mocha, cream bread, corn bread, red bean mochi, sweet potato pastry, and cheese pastry. I checked in on Yelp to get a free bread, and the owner also gifted me with another free bread. So nice! I sampled a little of everything when I got home and everything tasted fresh and so delicious! Not too sweet or heavy. The sweet potato cake had a unique flavor. Kind of like taro, but not really. It was surprisingly good! I'm a frequent customer of 85 degrees, Sunmerry and Paris Baguette, but this delightful little bakery has impressed me and will be seeing more of me in the future! Birthday girl requested chocolate cake so we had to get this super cute panda cake. Birthday girl loved it! The cake was nice and airy and not too sweet. We got the small size which was prefect for dinner. I hope to try their other cakes sometime soon. Their cakes are very elegant looking. They also so sell other breads and pastries. read more

Seriously a hidden gem! Mom and pop owned bakery inside the Market World Supermarket. They are genuinely the most sweetest, kindest, loving Korean couple ever!!!! They deserve to be recognized. I had trouble finding it at first, but its to the far right, after you enter. They had a good amount of selection of pre-made baked goods and many flavors of cakes! For cake flavors, they have: Mocha, Chocolate, Oreo, Red Velvet, Sweet Potato, Matcha and Blueberry. Not to mention, they also have two sizes for each flavor, a small and large! I decided to try the blueberry cake for a family get together, and let me tell you, it was a crowd pleaser!!!! The cake was so flavorful and moist, I had people going in for seconds!!!! I definitely recommend this bakery for anyone who's looking to buy a cake or just grab some pastries!!!!! read more

This is a hidden gem in Hannam Chain Market! I love coming here because they have some of my favorite pastries and also the man is really really nice. I'm all about supporting small businesses although I'm pretty sure this is a franchise, but smaller than Paris Baguette. My favorite pastries here are the ones with cream cheese, the hot dog ones, and the mochi buns. They are so good with a cup of hot or iced coffee. They also have birthday cakes that look so adorable. Also their egg salad sandwiches are bomb! If you are ever in the area, you should just grab a bunch of pastries. Eat it for breakfast! Share with friends! Take it to work! read more

LOCATION: Bonjour Bakery is a small mom and pop bakery located inside Market World Supermarket. PARKING: free and easy to find! THE GOODS: Their bakery goods are fresh and delicious. I always look forward to their products.They have an 8 for $10 deal for most buns and pastries. FAVORITES: Freshly baked buns filled with whipped cream ($5): I'm not sure what the exact name of this pastry is called, but I'm pretty sure it's called "Cream Buns." Whenever I'm craving something sweet for breakfast, I'll pick up a pack of these on Sunday mornings. They come in a pack of twelve. They tend to run out if you go later in the day. Strawberry and Cream Soboro ($1.50 or 8 for $10): Freshly cut sweet strawberries rest on a bed of fluffy whipped cream encased in a Korean soboro bread. It essentially is a Korean-style strawberry shortcake. If you get this, make sure to eat it on the same day! It doesn't taste as good if you leave it out overnight. TIP: I recommend coming early, but not too early. If you come later, they tend to run out a lot of their more popular buns. If you come a little too early, a lot of their breads aren't ready or haven't been wrapped. The optimal time is probably 10-11am. TAKEAWAY: The owners are very nice! Can I just tell you, what a wonderful experience it was to buy from this cake shop? I came here on a whim after yelp took me here to get chicken next door. I went to check out the bakery stall next door because I had some time to kill and omg, the cutest and most adorable cake was there. I quickly noticed the panda cake in the counter and was like omg sooooo cute! I instantly got it for my friend's birthday. An elderly ahjuhshi (mister) helped me when I purchased the cake. I spoke in Korean, so I don't know how well his English is, but he asked me if it was a birthday and I said it was my friend's. I paid for the cake with cash. Then he hands me 2 free pastry breads to share with my friend. I was astonished. He said to enjoy these pastries with my friend and omg... He was the sweetest old man ever. The pastry I tried had thick delicious custard inside with powder sugar on the outside which formed a crust and omg, it was soooo good! He hand picked the pastries out for me and he chose this and another twist donut since it was my first time there. Please support this bakery, it is located inside the supermarket to the very right of the market next to Furian (sp?) We grabbed a red velvet cake here when we're on our way to a friends bday party. The owner/manager was really nice and gave us two free bakeries for us to try. Everyone enjoyed the cake at the party, the cake was moist and soft. The icing wasn't overly sweet, so that was a plus. Will come back again for bakeries and cakes! read more

My wedding cake was the most Amazing Cake Ever! Everyone complemented how delicious the cake was. Fluffy, fruity, perfect cream, not too sweet, so moist! Pastry Chef & his wife are the owner here and the most kind people ever. He puts overflowing topping for all his pastries and you can tell it's made with love. I've been local to the area practically my whole life (and when this plaza used to be an Albertsons lot...) but move into the neighborhood closer to the bakery recently AND needed to take home a birthday cake. I am so happy Bonjour Bakery was listed as a nearby local bakery. It is located inside the Hanmi World Marketplace. My son and I picked up two small cakes to celebrate my husband's birthday and Father's Day - a panda shaped oreo cake; the other, sweet potato cake. While they were boxing the cakes, we picked out some custard bread pastries and curry croquettes to have for snacking. After having paid, owner was kind and sweet to offer an additional pastry similar to the one we picked out (also a custard one). We haven't yet had the cakes, but these custard pastries... especially the one the owner picked out for my son -- SUPER DELICIOUS! Read the great reviews and got their coffee mocha cake. Presentation of the cake was great. Taste was wonderful not too sweet or overwhelming just right. Cake is very delicious and looks elegant for wedding. It's sponge cake with cream and fruits inside. It's all white without any decoration. Make sure you bought some decos or have florist decorate it. We have 12 people and ended up finishing the bottom layer and brought the top layer home. Good price for a wedding cake. The owner forgot we already paid the cake and asked my brother to pay it again, but we got refund after. So it's all good at the end. The owner also gave us free breads to congratulate our wedding. The cake not only looked stunning, but also delicious and fluffy. It is a mom and pop shop and the owners were so nice. We were able to get the cake delivered to my venue.
