We dropped by and ordered one, along with a salted Oreo cake, a basque cake, and the pork sung mochi cake. We dove right into the salted egg cake and pork sung mochi. We would definitely come back again and I am curious to try their takoyaki and popcorn chicken next time.

Today I went to a small dessert shop in Rowland Heights and decided to try their milk tea. I drink…read moremilk tea almost every single day, so I was actually excited to try a new place. Unfortunately, this was honestly one of the worst milk teas I've ever had in my life. The first sip completely shocked me. The taste was so strange and unpleasant that I almost felt sick. What made it even worse was that the milk and tea had already separated, and it genuinely looked spoiled or expired. I tried another sip just to make sure, and I almost threw up. Now I'm stuck with an almost full cup because it's basically undrinkable. Their prices are also very expensive for the quality they offer. Today I bought some cupcakes and drinks and spent almost $100. For that price, I honestly expected much better quality and taste. The desserts may look pretty, but the quality and flavor were nowhere near worth the price. If you're looking for desserts that are both delicious and worth the money, I personally would not recommend this place.

The peach jasmine matcha cake ($60) was a bit pricey, but completely worth the money. My parents and grandma loved it, and it really was not sweet at all. Also, it was decorated beautifully! I also got some other bread to try: the bbq pork bun, the potato and ham bun, and a japanese bread loaf. I will definitely come back to try the other cakes!

Today is a Saturday afternoon and there was only one other customer in there with us. I would understand if there was a long line. Here are my ratings for the items we got: Sweet bread (dry) 5/10, banana bread (so good!)10/10, sweet potato 7/10, chocolate mousse cake (sweet) 8/10, and matcha crepe (dry/rubbery) 5/10.

Yelp 2015 Challenge #5…read more Whaa? Amazing prices, good bread. I wonder what other people are complaining about at this place ._. This is basically like an 85C (which is right across the plaza) inside the 168 Marketplace. They have breads and sell teas. But change is IT'S WAY CHEAPER. Mexican blueberry, which is like 85C Berrytale, is $1.25 here. Whaaa? How? How do they make money? No idea. They have a pork sung red bean mochi bread, which is also $1.25. It's kinda good but not for the faint of heart! The chocolate flower ($1.95 or $1.75 I believe?) was a good dessert and crunchy! They have mini cupcakes as well and tons of other breads which rival 85C's. Multigrain with peanuts as well. They are also very helpful with everything, b/c during my first time I missed the red bean bread and had to ask an employee. She came out from behind the kitchen to help me out. 8) They also have interesting green tea mix bread that they sell as loaves. So cool, 10/10 would come again. :) There are so many different varieties, so many different bread types that you have yet to try from this place :D Try it out!

The smooth, light, melt-in-your-mouth custard is nice and thick, so the ratio of custard to crust is like 15:1 (how it should be, in my opinion!). Pictures do it no justice--you absolutely have to try it. I tried it the next morning after refrigeration and microwaving for 22sec, and it was so delicious, I finished the entire piece! And now I'm super full. But it was worth it. They also have a chocolate version that I was considering, but opted to go with their most popular, which is yummy enough to go out of your way for. Also tried their floral quartet oolong milk tea with boba. Tea was ok but boba was lackluster, a bit too stretchy and not sweet enough. That custard pastry though, easily brings this spot up to 5 stars. Small shop just to place your order at the counter and leave with goodies.
