Tried out Bonfire for Happy Hour. This was our first time at this establishment. It previously was a Tilted Kilt when I lived in the area before. Now it is has a dog friendly patio and game room. We met some friends for a few drinks and to watch the Nebraska basketball game. My understanding is that the owners like both Michigan University and Nebraska. I can support that, Go Big Red!!! Anyway, the happy hour was decent for drinks. Somewhat limited for specials on food. We ended up ordering the smoked wings. The wings were good and large in size. My husband ordered the tender and potatoes. He was underwhelmed by the breading on the tenders. All-in all, very nice establishment. The frozen margaritas were good. I was very buzzed off three of those. Our waitress was great and friendly. Shout out to the bus boy for keeping our table clean at all times. We went on a Thursday afternoon with a group of 6 adults and two kids. Was slow when we arrived around 430 but by the time we left it was very busy. Good service and solid food choices and variety. Good BBQ items I had the BBQ pasta (not sure what they called it. Others had wings they said were excellent. Good service refilling drinks regularly. Reasonable prices as well as good beer selection. So I was in Chandler last Friday looking for a happy hour spot and discovered that some of the former spots I used to frequent were no longer open. Z Tejas is closed, sandbar is no longer on Ray Road and there doesn't seem to be a new alternative. So as I was leaving the area, I happen to look to my left and see bonfire with quite a few cars in the parking lot and decided to try it out. Boy was I happy I made that decision! If you live in Chandler and you haven't visited this place, you need to check it out. The menu is pretty extensive and pretty eclectic, but really good. They feature a ton of smoked meats and barbecue, but they also have things like Gumbo meatloaf and pizza! They also have a very extensive drink menu with a lot of options that should cover everybody's taste. Our server was also a manager named Paige, who was excellent! And this restaurant is huge with three different dining room rooms and two outdoor spaces plus plenty of parking. My husband and I bought a new car last night and our salesperson recommended this place. Since it stayed open late and it was close by, we decided to give it a go. Excellent Bar environment if you like bar food. They also have a few upgrades like a meatloaf dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy if you're not craving the ol' burger and fries. Don't let this place fool you to thinking it's typical. They have bingo night and their chicken wings are large and meaty with a variety of sauces. We tried the Wecks and it came with Au ju sauce. We went to watch NFL playoff game. Place was very busy, but servers did an outstanding job keeping up with the orders. Ours was on top of things, keeping drinks full and coming around frequently to see if we needed anything. We ordered a "duo sampler plater" of fried mushrooms and scoop fries. Both came out hot and delicious. Also ordered 10 pc smoked wings, great flavor, I just wish they offered lemon pepper as a dry rub. This was our second time coming to Bonfire and we specifically came for the Hypnotist Show that was scheduled. You pay for the event ($35) which includes dinner. The night of the show, what they do is give you a wristband and you are given $20 off your meal order. We had a large group joining us and we got there early in order to secure a table, which staff helped us with. Everything was great in that respect. Food was amazing! We had the burnt ends (so yummy!), patty melt, cole slaw, tater tots, and fried zucchini. Service during the busy event was tricky at best. There were 9 of us and 7 got their meals, the 8th meal came a bit later and my meal was totally gone! They made up for it by reordering and I did get the tater tots before the patty melt! Their patty melt is served on a rye roll, which for me is a lot of bread. I ate one half and then took the patty off and just ate it without the bread. Loved the zucchini and I had to ask a couple of times for ranch dressing, but again...given how crazy busy they were, understandable! The servicers were doing their best. Bonfire did not disappoint!! It came as a recommendation from a Phoenix local and I'm so glad we made it there. The atmosphere and vibes were great, very relaxing and chill. It's a huge place so we didn't wait but they do take reservations. We sat outside in the patio and it was perfect. There were lots of tables and some lawn games like cornhole. Such a warm and inviting environment. It's the perfect place to catch a game and grab some delicious food! We started with the cheese curds because why wouldn't we!! Was looking for a burger for Mom and stumbled onto Bonfire. It was a Saturday during lunch. We walked in right before the rush. I was thinking, should we look for another place. I am so glad we stayed. Mom got her burger and I settled on a 1/2 pound order of burnt ends and a side of garlic truffle fries. OMG, so moist and tender like if you dropped some jello in your mouth. Came in during a visit to Mesa, AZ due to seeing this place on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dive. Happy to see this is a Bills Backers Bar. Brisket Poutine was really good! Maybe could have used a little more gravy, but the flavor was killer. The Dirty Cajun Pasta was delicious...just a hint of spice. The Pizza had a good crust, the smoke on the pork was a tad heavy for my taste, but overall a good pizza. The Bills memorabilia was great and a nice surprise for a couple of SW NY/ NW PA natives. We were searching for somewhere to eat after an event and we ended up at bonfire which claims to be an "elevated" family-friendly sports bar. It was a busy Saturday night but there was no waiting to be seated. Bonfire is a large restaurant and it is loud. We were immediately assaulted by karaoke but singers were rare. Our server was friendly but took a while to make her appearance at our table. The drink menu and the food menu are vast but vegetarian options seemed limited. They also have happy hour specials and daily drink specials, even on the weekends, which is nice. The sheer number of food options will probably allow everyone in your party to find something I ended up with an orange Brûlée beer which was good up front but the caramelized sugar flavors were lost in bitterness. I went with the Bronco burger which was ok, but nothing special. The scoop fries were fun but would go better with something.. to scoop. Probably great with queso or chicken dip! My brother got onion rings as his side and they were very generous. I think there were more onion rings on his plate than burger. So I'm a little torn here. Bonfire would be a good place if you're out with a group of friends and ok with shouting for any attempt at conversations. There's approximately 1000 TVs, karaoke, and a game room. Drink specials and pretty good food. If you're looking for a quiet venue then this is not for you. Met a friend here for dinner. Place is quite large. SUPER loud inside. Good luck trying to have a conversation. I ordered a margarita. It was by far the worst one I have ever had. I had to send it back. Got a beer, because that's pretty hard to screw up. Friend got the wings. WAY too much breading on them and they were fatty. I got the gumbo. It was just meh. Atmosphere/Ambiance - 5/5 - They have a nice long bar inside the restaurant, and in the far back, there is an area to play games. This is a great spot for gatherings. Staff - 4/5 - Tad slow at times, but overall the staff was friendly and helpful. Food/Drink - Ordered the following: Sampler Platter - 4/5 - $18 - It is a pick 3, so we chose the fried pickles, cheese curds, and onion rings. Nothing special here, but who doesn't love fried food? Ole Smokey Pizza - $21 - This was their BBQ brisket pizza, and it was awesome. It has brisket, pulled pork and smoked chicken on it. Nuff said. Carnasaurus - $23 - 5 meats (pepperoni, hot links, sausage, bacon & brisket). Oh and I made it reaper style for $2 where they added carolina reaper and habaneros on it. It is definitely hot, but tasty. If you like heat, make it reaper style. I have to also mention that their old fashioneds are pretty cool, as they add smoke and keep it sealed in a mason jar. I was excited to go back for the poutine but was very disappointed. I was with a large group and we had booked a month in advance. Our server was sweet but definitely in over her head. Fortunately they did have some food runners help her as the meals were prepared. The potatoes in my poutine were clearly reheated. They were rubbery and had no flavor. Visited this place for lunch. The place was clean, server was nice, patient with all the questions, and this place is super close to the freeway. Food was just okay. Nothing special about it. I ordered the brisket, no sauce, and asked if it was a lean or moist cut. Server said it was more lean, and she was correct. The brisket was super dry and not much flavor to it. There was not really any bark on the brisket either, which is something I really like. Not sure how they cook it there, but the brisket wasn't very good. I was surprised to hear they did not have baked potatoes. Also their vegetables were limited to a couple slices of carrots and green beans. I will say their menu was large with lots of options. Someone else with me ordered the meatloaf and they said it was really good. I can see this place being packed for sports game as there were lots of TVs and a large gaming room. Came here to watch the Finals. Plenty of seating - indoor and outdoor. Service was really attentive and friendly. Ended up ordering the 10 piece smoked wings. They let me do half and half so went with hot and mango habanero since I like hotter wings. These wings weren't that spicy to me but still had some heat on them. However the taste was amazing. SMOKY SMOKY great smoke flavor on the wings. Mango habanero you could taste fresh mango and then like tangy sauce, but I preferred the hot. The hot was a classic hot buffalo but with the smoky flavor was very tasty. I also had a michelada. Their beers came out in like mason jars which I'm surprised that was like a 12oz? This was my favorite restaurant to come get smoked only wings from until my experience today. I have been coming here multiple times for the past few weeks because I was able to get smoked only wings. Today when I ordered them I ended up having a conversation with the Chef/Owner Dave regarding the process and that they don't typically do smoked only for the wings. I believe the conversation came about as a miscommunication between the waitress to him regarding grilled wings. I asked for 10 piece smoked wings, naked, only smoked. She came back and said the owner said they don't grill the wings because they get stuck to the grill. Anyhow that's how I ended up asking to have the owner come over because I had been receiving smoked wings all five times I ordered them over the past few weeks. Dave ended up saying they can accommodate but not to expect it during their busy Sunday's when the Bills are playing and explained it takes 14 minutes for the wings to cook if they are not flashed fried. I let him know that I was ok with that. Upon receiving the wings they weren't hot like I have received them on my past orders. But they weren't flash fried either which I was happy about however since there was a whole ordeal about them being smoked only then my wings coming out room temperature though earlier was told it would take 14 minutes for them to cook just didn't sit well with me. I guess I'll only go to Roaring Fork for the smoked wings. They also flash fry them but will not do so if asked. read more

Hubby, my friend and I had dinner here last night. My friend was in town & I let her pick where she wanted to meet for dinner. She moved away 2 years ago, & had never been to Bonfire while she lived here. So out of the suggestions I gave her she picked to go here. We all arrived a little before 5:00. Hubby got his usual beer that is served with lime. I got the 1/2 cafe white sangria, since i don't like their red. It's a peach sangria & I really liked it last time. It took a very long time to get our drinks. Had we had known how long it was going to take to get our drinks we would have ordered our food at the same time. We kept looking around for our server so we could place our order & check on our drinks, but she was no where to be seen. She brought our drinks & took our food order. My friend ordered the traditional wings with AZ gold sauce. We ordered the smoked wings with the same sauce, breaded mushrooms and fries to share. There was no lime with hubby's beer. My sangria was not good. There was no peach taste at all. It tasted like orange juice. Again we tried to find her to ask for lime. The food runner brought our food. The food came out quickly & hot. There was no ranch for wings or mushrooms. We asked him to bring us all ranch. He brought each of us 2 of the small to go containers. Normally you get small bowls of ranch. Our server came by & I asked for lime which she brought. She went by our table 3 times with checking on us. The 4th time she stopped so we could ask for to go containers & the check. My friend & hubby liked the wings, but I got one that had thick Un-rendered skin that grossed me out. The fries were good, but the mushrooms were excellent like always.
