I was treated to dinner for my birthday last night, June 17, 2020 at the BoneFish Grill in Willow Grove by my daughters. They know I really loved Bonefish Grill but after yesterday I don't think so... The service was excellent, she did what she could. The bang bang shrimp was disgusting, the asparagus was limp, there was no butter for our twin lobsters we ordered, it was a dark thick lemon butter which didn't taste good. They said they didn't have anything butter. The jasmine rice was gummy and bitter. It started when we arrived for a 6:00 pm dinner reservation, my daughter had to go to the bathroom. She went in and as she walked toward the bathroom a woman YELLED at her from across the room to tell her to cover her nose with her face mask. My daughter is 50 yrs old, not a child. I know how serious this virus is but it should not make people forget customer service. I am very upset, this put a dart on my Birthday which my daughters tried too hard to make me happy. We decided to come here after our Valentines painting, we got there around 9:15, knowing they close at 10. I am pretty sure our server Paul was less than happy to be sat again. He did greet us and take our drink order & appetizer order but after he delivered the drinks he disappeared. I found it odd that he did not want to take our meal order but I was having fun so I didn't think too much about it. After receiving our appetizers he finally came back to take the rest of our order. We had asked for refills on the drinks and had to ask for them again after our meal was brought out to us. I was a little annoyed to say the least with our service, because it just ruined our experience here. I think it is worth traveling to Langhorne/Oxford Valley if you want to eat at Bonefish. Even though our service was less than sub par I really enjoyed my meal as well as our table. We ordered two orders of Bang Bang Shrimp, they are the best appetizer, and if you have never tried them you will not be disappointed. I ordered the Ahi Tuna Bowl with Jasmine rice, it was delicious and I even had some for lunch the next day. My fiancé and I came here for Valentine's Day yesterday and the food was horrible. Specifically my rainbow trout had so much bones inside. The store manager stated it was a few bones but it was so much as I had emphasized. So a replacement of salmon was requested which was completely over cooked. The store manager stated that the salmon was for someone else at first? Like what come again? ... This location is unorganized and the food is not the same as I experienced in 2021 by this location. Never a bad experience at Bonefish. It was my first time at this location and no complaints here. I would probably keep coming to this location because it's closer to me. I arrived without a reservation but was seated immediately. The waiter wasn't the best (corny jokes & small talk) but he brought our drinks and food out fast. Even gave us extra bread (fresh) because the one he brought us at first was a tad bit too hard. I didn't complain he just picked up on it. The tilapia imperial was okay. The tilapia itself was cooked perfectly it just lacked seasoning. The seafood stuffing that was loaded on top was delicious though. The garlic mashed potatoes were awesome. The spinach unfortunately was also bland. I love spinach but it needs garlic with a little salt and pepper or something. My worst restaurant experience in years! We had a reservation. Sat at our table and it took 45 minutes for a server to approach our table. My boyfriend went in for a date night and we're EXTREMELY underwhelmed. Our service was slow and our food was terrible. The fish tacos I got were coated in this Cajun seasoning that took over the empty taco that was full of nothing. My boyfriend got the fish and chips, it was over cooked and tasted like rubber. I normally like Bonefish grill. Tonight...very disappointed. I recently had surgery so going out is very difficult. I ordered their fish and chips which is one of my favorites. Tonight terrible. It's a chain, you go because you know what to expect, though due to supply chain issues there are often menu items that are unavailable. However, the bang bang shrimp has never let us down and is reason enough to go! Delicious, good-sized portion, with just a hint of a kick! Tbh the other menu items have never impressed me, and the rest of the seafood is usually best to avoid! I had a dish but concerns were about the super salty fries. They came with salty seasoning but before they arrived, I asked for no salt. The new order didn't have the salty seasoning but salt was processed in the fries before they were cooked, I believe. Wendy's used to have fresh potatoes, but the same happened when I asked for no salt. I finally looked online and there is a prefab saline solution and the potatoes are no longer cut fresh in the store. Bonefish Grill headquarters needs to know that people want the taste of fresh potatoes without salt. Their potatoes leave a layer of salt on the tongue that is hard to get rid of. Customers can always add salt. Bonefish Grill could do better. read more

I ordered the Baja Scallops and Shrimp Scampi entree and I can say with confidence that this tasted nothing like scampi. The sauce was as thin as water and tasted just as bland. I'm truly disappointed as I was really looking forward to this meal. As a seafood lover and connoisseur I wouldn't recommend it to anyone as it lacked flavor completely. This is the first time I've ever had a bad experience with food delivered from Bonefish Grill. Today, I ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos with garlic mashed potatoes and for dessert, the key lime cake. The mashed potatoes were so hard/dry. When I put my fork into the mashed potatoes instead of the fork sliding through smoothly, little pieces broke off of the potatoes because they lacked any moisture. I threw them away and moved on to the shrimp tacos. The shrimp was good in the tacos but the tomatoes tasted spoiled almost like they were over ripe. It was a very weird taste. At this point I'm pissed and hungry. My last hope was the cake. I opened the cake container and took out the little container inside with the whipped cream. The cake looked great! I took a bite and then noticed a weird smell. It smelled like fish! Now, I'm sniffing everything to find out where that smell is coming from; the fork, the table, etc. I then notice my hands smell like fish. The fish smell came from the little container that had the whipped cream and the top of the big container that had the cake! Are you kidding me?! Dinner is ruined and there goes $35.19 down the drain! I have never had a bad experience with Bone Fish Grill. Such a disappointment. I walk in and no one is in the waiting area. The lady tells me my name was "deleted"... then "auto-deleted".. then I asked to wait again because the right-sized table was not available. Bang-Bang shrimp = normal, decent. Bread and oil (which came after the appetizer) = same. Gnocchi dish = fail. The dish wasn't balanced at all and the lobster was a step up from rubber food. We were there May 26th. The staff was very attentive and patient, (we had two infants with us). The food was excellent.

Had a gift card so DH & I thought we'd try it for my birthday. I ordered the Art Sea Martini. If you like sweet drinks, this is perfect. I truly enjoyed it. The edible art in the center tastes like frosting. We started with an appetizer & soup. The Corn Chowder & Lump Crab Soup was delicious. Had a nice creamy texture and flavor with a dab of crab meat presented in the center. The Imperial Crab Dip is a misnomer. I don't understand why they serve it with tortilla chips as this dip was lumpy and dry with the consistency of a very thick non-creamy mac & cheese that you could eat with a toothpick. It did have a good flavor but did not live up to to "dip" expectations. As we haven't had it before we asked our server if it was normal for it to be so dry and appear like this. Our server said yes it looked normal. For my meal I had the Italian Seafood Risotto. You can't go wrong with shrimp, scallops, asparagus, tomatoes, red onion, Parmesan Risotto with basil. Can't go wrong with this meal. But I did go wrong ordering this one. It's very spicy! My mouth, lips & throat we're burning from the spice. Nothing in the description mentioned anything spicy. There should be a warning on the menu somewhere. DH ordered the Wolfish Lobster Rouille after our server described it as sweet tasting like lobster. DH likes spicy foods but felt the spice was too overpowering to taste the fish. We were both disappointed in our meals. Our server asked the manager to speak with us. He explained that we should have said something right away so they could have corrected the problem. We explained that we didn't want to be a bother when they were so busy and since we hadn't eaten there before we didn't know if this was how all their meals were. Outback was horrible. I came home from work and I was about to eat the bloomin onion they gave us and it was soggy and not crunchy. Nothing came with sources and we had to go back and ask for some. So we are here visiting and got to this place at 6:19 or so and was told it would be a 30 minute wait. We said ok , then 20 min later this man comes out and says - you all have another 60 min wait. I was like on top of what we already waited ? He said yes because parties larger than 6 take longer and you have 7 people ? You really Counting the baby. She is gonna sit with her mom - then he said yes because she makes 7 - I am confused. We only need 6 chairs. Another great meal at Bonefish! Octavia, our waitress was fantastic. Informative and super sweet. Started off with the calamari and it was delish. Then I had the spicy tuna bowl and was it great! Such a super presentation I had to take a picture. Rocky start last night that turned into an enjoyable dining experience due to excellent service and delicious food. We arrived 5 minutes early for our 5:15 reservation only to be told by the hostess that everyone with or without a reservation would have to wait for about 30 minutes. We submitted a cell number but never received any text like some other guests did so we kept checking with the hostess and were finally seated after about 35 minutes. A lot of people were waiting patiently for tables but some chose to leave. We started to but decided to wait it out and were looking forward to the one-night special of half-price appetizers. Restaurant seemed understaffed (available tables but not enough staff to wait them); the hostess was doing her best to manage the ratio of diners to waiters. Things started to pick up and flow better once manager Frank took over. He was great and his wait staff team seemed to really like him. As someone who has worked in customer service for decades I noticed that although understaffed, our waitress Myla and the others were well-trained, friendly helpful and engaging. I asked Myla about 2 menu items (Bang Bang fries topped with lump crabmeat, Mussels) and she was spot on with her descriptions; both were delicious! With the half-price special on appetizers, we tried 5 (the other 3 were Bang Bang Shrimp, Ahi Tuna sashimi, Calamari) and had no leftovers - everything was prepared deliciously. Bottom line - our dining experience had a rocky start but we got settled in, relaxed and really enjoyed our meal, and topped it off with a slice of Citrus Vanilla cake with Key Lime Icing - Yum! Tonight is the anniversary of when I met my wife 34 years ago and she wanted to go to Bonefish so we call ahead to see if we needed reservations at 5:30 and were told that if we came in before 6pm we would be seated. We arrive at 5:45 and walk up the hostess is standing outside and walked in with us the restaurant is about a 1/4 full and she said we would have to wait 15min for a seat and tried to steer us to the bar and I said I really don't want to have a drink so to push a little harder she said the wait would be 45min as I'm looking around at the large amount of empty tables so instead of being forced to have a drink we left. If I had wanted to drink there are a bunch of bars close to me with very good food and I never have to wait to be seated or feel like I'm being forced to have a drink before I am seated so thank you Bonefish for screwing up my evening you will never get another chance to do it again. read more

My wife ordered the Boen Pinot Nior 9 oz. pour which she had many times before at other restaurants but when it came out the taste was off as if it was old. She didn't want to complain so she drank through it. The outrageous part of being served bad wine is when the bill came. The cost of the 9oz. pour was $19.50, the whole bottle only cost $17.99 or so, per the internet. I questioned our bartender about the cost, who discussed it with who I assume is the restaurant manager and was then informed that is the cost. I met a few friends here after work for some food, drink & laughter. Wait time for a table for 6 was as I was told. 15 minutes. Restaurant was very busy. Our Food Server Lori was so attentive to us. She was fun! All of the Food Servers seemed as though they were in good spirits. Speaking of spirits, their drinks were awesome! Our assortment of food choices were awesome. I can't even recommend one because they were all delicious! The manager that was there was even visible!! I didn't get his name. He did pop by our table though. He is doing something right there! Came here for the first time tonight u called a hour ahead of time to make reservations. I got here on time 6:45 for my reservation was seated immediately by the hostess which is a +++ The waitress came over introduced herself as soon as we were seated and went over all the specials for the evening. We ordered our drinks and appetizers they came out quick and our meals were perfect. The flavors were out of this world we ordered the bang bang shrimp and the coconut shrimp appetizers awesome tasting & our entrees were delicious as well i had the Angler special shrimp cod and scallops on top of a bed of fries with cole slaw. I've been to other Bonefish Grill Restaurants in the past and found them to be credible. Tonight, while the service was good, the food was horrific! I ordered the grilled scallop and shrimp kabob with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables (I was told tonight it was broccoli. I recall one time their broccoli was overcooked and slathered in butter. They said they could cook it without butter. My wife ordered fish and chips. The server came back and said they were out of broccoli would green beans be OK? I said yes. When the food came, yes, the beans had no butter but the shrimp and scallops were soaking in vegetable oil. It was inedible. When I complained they said I could order something else but I figured there would be a problem with another dish. They could serve up another serving of shrimp and scallops with only a minimum of oil - which they did. But it still wasn't very good. My wife's fish and chips were obviously thrown from the freezer into oil that wasn't hot enough for cooking. The result were fillets of mushy cod dipped in greasy, oily breadcrumbs. The manager took some of the fish back to the kitchen to show to the 'chef.' They did not charge us for the fish and chips (they'd better not!!) but we were left hungry and feeling like we had wasted an hour or more!! Good Bye to Bonefish Grill!!! read more
